Lake Florida Summer Getaway

Christmas Holiday Stay

This location would be prime for the summer months, but our family has grown, and we needed a place that could accommodate all of us for Christmas. The owner and manager were great to work with and very helpful. We had a great time, and the place was perfect for our needs. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful home!

The 6 bedroom home was beautiful! Everyone had plenty of room and the kitchen and other areas were so nice! Having access to the lake was awesome! It was so comfortable and lovely - we look forward to staying again sometime!

Lovely Home

This house is a spacious masterpiece. The kitchen is fabulous and would make any cook envious. The lake views are fabulous. John, the manager from next door is super friendly and easy to work with. Everything we needed was available. We highly recommend this property for your vacation.

Friends and Family Lake Week

We really enjoyed our stay at the house and our time in the lake. We had so much space and a full size kitchen which was lovely. The dock was great and the availability of a lift for our boat was a huge plus. We all had a great time and would absolutely stay again. The neighbors were also very friendly and made delicious salsa!

Summer family reunion fun!

A dozen adults and 4 kids had a blast once again at this family favorite lake house! Lots of space, a large yard for games and running around, a sandbox for the kids, great dock and floating platform. Water is clean and swimmable. Neighbors were friendly and kind.

Long Family Weekend

This property was perfect for our family. We had 11 people there and a small dog. We had plenty of beds for everyone. With 3 1/2 baths, it was easy to schedule showering. The kitchen had everything that we needed and a nice grill. There was plenty of seating for meals. The most favorite part of the property was the nice backyard area for all of the lawn games that we enjoy! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Family vacation

The house was way fancier than the pictures. It was so spacious and clean. We all loved the fire pit. We made a fire two of the nights. Roasted hot dogs and made s’mores. Old fashion fun. Thank you Mark!

Memorial Day Stay

We were a multi-generational family of 11. This home had plenty of space to spread out both inside and out. LOTS of space. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could ask for to make any meal; and enough plates, glasses, utensils, etc., for everyone. The five kids spent many hours on the dock catching fish of all sorts; and also made use of the kayaks. We would definitely visit again.

Wonderful Getaway

We enjoyed our stay on Lake Florida! The house was spacious and well maintained. The older members of our group appreciated there being two bedrooms on the main floor. The teens utilized the basement space which provided ample space for them. The backyard was large and flat - great for outdoor games. The kitchen/bar area had a great view of the lake and had all the equipment we needed. We hope to return again!

Family vacation

The house is great for the group of 13 we had. Lots of room. The beds are a little uncomfortable they are too stiff/hard. It is a pet friendly place, with that being said, when we got there dog hair was in the corners of the rooms on the floor. This would be our only complaint. We definitely would rent this home again.

Beautiful and relaxing

Upon entering it felt like home, but away. The view of the lake is breathtaking out the many windows facing the lake. Very clean and simple. Close enough to Spicer that one could head to town for the day for groceries, golfing or a bite to eat. The host was very accommodating to any needs we may have had. Pet friendly which was a must for our family. Beautiful yard big enough to play yard games and a lovely fire pit.

Great family reunion at the Thompson Lake Florida home

There were 15 of us ranging from age 3 to 63 and we had a wonderful time at this VRBO on Lake Florida. This home is well equipped for a large gathering and has lakeside amenities including a couple of kayaks, canoe, and an awesome lakeside firepit patio that accommodated all 15 of us for smores and other family fun! The swimming area was clean and had a firm lake bottom (mostly sand) with a very nice swim platform not too far off shore in 6 feet of water. All in all, I'd recommend this VRBO for those seeking a peaceful lakehome experience for a large group.

Great Place for Families

We had a wonderful time here. As a group of 15, it was nice to have ample space to spread out, while also having large enough spaces to congregate together, and most importantly enjoy the outdoors. The fire pit is in a great location at the end of the yard overlooking the lake and large enough for everyone. The dock is awesome! It fit our three boats, and the house had tubes to enjoy on the lake as well. The lake was super clear and our kids could catch small fish off the dock. The large yard was also great for our family to play games and for kids to run off some energy. Overall would recommend this property for a nice family getaway.

Husbands birthday party

We spent a long weekend here to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday. The lake was amazing! We went boating, tubing, fishing and swimming. The dock and boat lift were great as well. The house was big enough for my husbands whole family to stay with us. Some of the rooms in the house could use updating but it was clean and spacious enough for all of us. My only suggestion would be to have more towels available. There were 13 of us staying there and there weren’t enough towels for each of us to have our own. Otherwise everything else was great!

Lake Florida

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Large and clean house with a large yard. Lake Florida was exceptionally clear and clean. We could see small fish swimming around at the end of the dock and could see the sandy bottom. We enjoyed that there were 2 kayaks and a canoe to explore the lake. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils. There are 2 full size fridges and one dorm size fridge. Which was great with our large family of 11. There is a very nice fire pit down at lake side. The two bedrooms on the main floor are especially nice for a mom and dad and young children. The rooms are connected by a bathroom. We would definitely recommend this property.

Find any other house, through any other company

The property is on a nice lot. That's the good. The property has a terrible layout, is finished as of someone when to an estate auction with $150 and then quit, and there is no outdoor area, deck patio, ECT to enjoy the lake from. There is a patio set, in the lawn, from the early 80's. That's the highlights. The food ball table has paint on it so thick it's unusable and the ping pong table has apparently been broken for more than a year. Rain came through the windows and out of the ceiling. To top it of, the owners are awful, to the point where one of them found my sister in law on Facebook and sent her nasty messages. The owner attempted to over charge us for a pet fee and refused to correct the invoice. When I tried to contact VRBO, it took 5 calls, due to calls dropping on their end, and more than 2 hours to find someone who said he would help, then he did nothing. Find a better house, with better owners, through a better company.
