Welcome to our beautiful property. We are in the small town of Arroyo Seco/Des Montes Area, right over the Beautiful and Historic Valdez Valley, surrounded by the Rocky mountain foothills.
We are right off the Upper Rim Road between State Rd. 230 and NM150, We are Padilla Lane. 8 miles to the Taos Ski Valley Resort from our door.

Northern NM, one of the last of free open places in USA. 2200 square miles and minimally populated with time, history, culture, and an earthly gift for all of us.

The Elk are coming down from the mountains and we have such beautiful powder right now. 3/22

Our apartment is very clean and private with a fenced in yard and two entrances, shade trees and lawn. Full kitchen, Queen Bed, Futon in Living Room sleeps 2, pet friendly, enclosed private yard. Parking for 2 vehicles. Beautiful Surroundings, Hiking, Mountain Biking, Skiing, Snow Boarding.
If you know Taos and Arroyo Seco/Des Montes area you get it.

Pet friendly Must Pay Pet Fee $50 per pet. No pets on bed or furniture. We are dog friendly but require you pick up after your dogs to help keep our lawns and walkways clean. We have the best dog walk along the Rim Road ever. Views to die for.

You must pay a $50 pet fee per pet. Our furry friends have a lot of hair and Yavanne has a struggle cleaning our place for new guests. Please do not allow your pets on couches, futons, or beds.
We are right next door and leave our guests privacy. We try to stay Covid Save. Many restaurants are providing wonderful Carry Out options. Please come and enjoy Taos and please help keep our special area safe!

The one bedroom bungalow behind the owners' house has its own completely fenced yard which was great for our dog. The queen sized bed was comfortable as was the futon and there were many comforters and pillows for warmth. The furnace did a great job keeping the place warm in 10 degree weather. It was all very clean and well maintained. We will definitely be back.

Awesome place!
Each year we ride the Enchanted Circle Century and climb Wheeler peak the next day. The location was perfect for both. Quick access to both Taos Ski Valley and Taos. The owners are super nice and accommodating and the casita is a craft build and well tended. Highly recommended!

Great Cabin
My husband and I planned a trip to the Taos area mainly to hike/enjoy the outdoors and this was the perfect cabin for the two of us. It is just a few minutes away from the darling little village of Arroyo Seco, about 20 minutes from the Taos Ski Valley, and less than 15 from the Taos plaza. We had great hiking each day, explored Arroyo Seco and spent a little time in Taos. The cabin is simple and clean, bed was very comfortable, plenty of towels and extra blankets. It is situated at the back of the owner's home across a really nice zen-like deck. The owners are very nice and helpful, we enjoyed chatting with them about the Taos area. The only suggestion I have is for a few more kitchen utensils. We cooked almost all our meals and it would have been nice to have a few items such as a measuring cup, grater, grill accessories, etc. But that is minor and the upside was that we were out of the bustle of Taos and able to relax and enjoy the beauty of this area.

Quiet Haven
Driving away Saturday, I already knew I'd miss this place. The hosts are lovely, the surrounding area beautiful. There was even a lovely walk along a stream steps away from the house. The house itself is very private, fully enclosed by a high fence, with a tidy lawn for my dog to enjoy. The rooms are spacious, the kitchen well appointed for my needs. A short drive to the town of Arroyo Seco provides a natural grocery story along with a stand selling some of the best chili stew I've had in a long time. Everything was comfortable and easy. The only down-side was some difficulty finding the place. Other than that, it was perfect.

Wonderful weekend in Arroyo Seco with our dogs!
I love New Mexico and Arroyo Seco is really special and beautiful. Taos is 20 minutes away and the Taos Ski Valley is 20 minutes away. The little house has a wonderful yard to let our dogs out in. The area has very nice walks we could wake up to before we went to the ski valley to hike. The guest house was easy to cook in, sit in the yard and have coffee and read or sit out and look at stars at night and birds during the day. The hosts are easy and helpful as well as interesting and kind. We look forward to staying again this fall.

Peaceful fourth of july
We loved the yard (as did the Butter dog) and spent good times sitting in the sweet Adirondack chairs watching birds and drinking coffee. The house is big for a rental and had all we needed, super comfortable. The owners were in and out next door (as we were) and were friendly. The property manager was detailed and helpful. Great stay and would definitely recommend.

Great ski trip to Taos
Nice, super spacious rental for our family of four plus our fur baby. Loved the private fenced in yard for our doggy to play. Easy 15 minute drive to Taos Ski valley. The town of Taos is also close by for shopping and good eats. Tom and Olga are wonderfully warm hosts. We can’t wait to return in autumn for all of the beautiful fall scenery that Tom suggested.

We have been living here for 22 years. We came from many years in the hospitality business in Northern NY, on the island of Jamaica and here in Taos. We were builders and artists in Northern NY, Negril, Jamaica and here in Taos, New Mexico. Presently we are artists, builders and so happy to live here. It is living in a kaleidoscope. We like to travel in our RV. We converted this separate apartment from our former art studio and workshop this year for additional income. Much respect to our guests and welcome.

Our location is excellent for quick access to towns of Arroyo Seco and Taos and the Enchanted Circle. We are a short side road off the Upper Rim Road. We are close to the Pueblo for memorable Christmas Eve celebrations. Neighborhood quiet. Family residences. Owners live in adjacent property. We require $50 pet fee per pet when you arrive and please do not let pets on futon, bed, or furniture. We entertain small quiet families and friends. No loud parties, please. Our little property is a good bang for your buck...you are safe and private. Please adhere to all normal regulations. You will be private.
