Are you looking to relax or for a great place to go with your pets? This house is at the end of the road, a peaceful and private setting on 1.5 beautiful acres. Nothing behind you but a wooded lot along the water.

Spacious open floor plan with water views from every room. Read your paper on the deck overlooking the water and enjoy your morning coffee.

Accommodates 8 people with the two master bedrooms, two separate kitchens and three and a half baths. For adventure and fun you can kayak right out front (kayaks provided), shoot a game of pool, watch a movie on the big-screened TV or surf the net (cable wireless internet). Settle in and relax; dine on the waterfront deck, read a book, or simply listen to some relaxing music.

Pets are welcomed! Owner's refer to this home as the Maine Mutt Mansion as there is a fenced front yard, and a large back yard and adjacent woods where you can walk your dogs through the paths or go for a long hike nearby at Wolf’s Neck State park.

Maine Family Vacation
Our family which included 7 adults & a baby had a wonderful time staying here. Plenty of room for all. We especially loved the privacy of the location & of course the beautiful views. The kitchen was great & had everything we needed to cook several meals. Very close to downtown Freeport. Also not a bad ride to Portland & Boothbay Harbor. Susanne was very attentive checking to make sure we got in ok & also very quick to answer if we had any questions. All in all a great family vacation!!

Spectacular Extended Family/Pet Paradise
This home was perfect for grandparents, children, grandchildren and dogs! The kitchen is stocked with everything a large family needs and this spacious house has plenty of room for all of us! The gated deck, as well as the fenced in yard, provide much-needed relaxation for adults while the kids and dogs play safely! The water front scenery never gets old, even though this was our fourth stay here! This is the perfect place for our family to enjoy each other in a perfect setting!

Great location in Maine
Property was very nice at the end of a quiet street. We enjoyed watching the tide change and all the birds. Close to Portland and Augusta. Everyone in our group was impressed!

Relaxing Vacation Getaway
The perfect place for a family getaway - private location, beautiful deck with great scenery, easy access to Restaurants and Freetport/Brunsiwick, and a wonderful place to call home for a week. Susanne the owner was very responsive to our requests and the property had everything you need for a weeks stay! We plan to be back in 2025.

A pet haven!
If you have dogs this is the place to stay! With a fenced in yard that you can easily access through the basement door and a gated deck, it's a stress relief for sure! I may be the only one who wouldn't consider it private because there are two other homes on either side, but it's quiet and very peaceful! The use of the garage was appreciated and very convenient. Beds were comfortable and the house was spacious and welcoming. Pool table was a lot of fun!! We had to cut our stay short but we would definitely go back again!

A Perfect Getaway
We had a wonderful time staying at this property. It comfortably slept 6 of us and had the best prepared kitchen we have ever seen for a rental property. The kitchen had plenty of cutting boards, pans, dishes, utensils, and any tool we could need. The view from the back porch was lovely and there were plenty of chairs for all of us to sit out and watch the sunset. The house is also a short drive from Freeport center, so it was easy to get into town for shopping and dining. There are also two garage ports for parking cars which was very convenient, as well as space in the driveway for at least two more vehicles. I feel the photos provided in the listing accurately represented the property. We would definitely stay here again!

Christmas in Freeport
We had a lovely time at this home. It was comfortable and well appointed. We like to cook and there was plenty of room for several of us to work together. The area was quiet and while we didn’t have the best weather we managed to take several car trips to see the sights.

For the dogs
This was our third time here - it is super dog-friendly. The overall comfort of the home is wonderful - at the end of a dirt road, so dogs are safe to roam about. Close enough to get to a grocery store if you need.

Sparkle Weekend Stay
This was our second year staying at the Maine Mutt Mansion and it was another wonderful experience. Everyone from grandparents to toddler to our husky loved the house. It’s just a short drive to LLBean and a beautiful place to cozy up in the winter. We can’t wait for next year!

Fabulous house and location. Great stay.
If you’re searching for a vacation rental and this one is on your short list, there’s no need to look further, simply rent this house. Our four-generation family of 7 plus 2 dogs stayed here for a week in August 2023. It was fabulous. The setting is superb, at the end of a dead-end. At high tide, the water is just off the deck. The outdoor spaces are great. We watched a Great Blue Heron and enjoyed the Osprey nest from the deck. The house is spacious, well-maintained, super clean. There is a path to the water and rocky cove. We launched the stand-up paddleboard and kayaks from the cove. (Be mindful of the tides; we drove to a nearby boat ramp when the tide was going out.) The house is large enough to accommodate our 4 generations and provide everyone with their own space. The first-floor king is huge with a slider to the deck. The upstairs king is even bigger with a private deck; 1 twin has a private deck. The upstairs family room has a useful kitchenette; the pool table was well-used by our group. The living room is large with plenty of seating. The 7 of us were able to gather comfortably for tv or games. The kitchen is large and super functional. The house is amazingly well-stocked. It had everything we could possibly need and more. The house is full of inviting, comfortable spaces. The sunsets over the water were super. The owner was quick to respond to questions via text. This property lives up to all the promises of the listing and more.

Absolutely gorgeous!
Don't have enough good things to say about the property and house. If you have dogs (which we did not have during our stay) this house is a must! They absolutely love dogs and even have a little doggy hut in the yard complete with little kennels and places to hang out for the pups.
