Villa Koumaria is situated in an open, south facing location with all-day sun, surrounded by olive groves, Mediterranean oak and wild strawberry trees.
The open-plan living, dining and kitchen are on the upper floor and are connected to the large, covered veranda, taking advantage of the impressive views over the countryside towards Gouvia bay, Corfu town, the south of the island, Ionian Sea and mainland Greece. The master bedroom with en-suite bathroom is also on the upper floor. The other three bedrooms are on the lower floor, with two opening directly onto the lower veranda and pool area. Outside there is a large patio with pergola, dining table and stone barbecue. The location is quiet and private, while only a few km from beaches, tavernas and other facilities and just 30 minutes' drive from Corfu town and the airport.

Très Bon séjour. La maison était conforme au descriptif. Steve est disponible et réactif au moindre petit problème. Seule remarque est l'accès à la maison. Le chemin n'est pas très praticable mais la vue de la Terrasse compense ce désagrément.c'est magnifique. A recommander

Outstanding holidays

We had amazing days in a wonderful house. Finding the way in the beginning was a little bit tricky-but the well equipped house with a marvellous view at Corfu/ Kerkyra, especially at night, has no equal. If you are looking for a quiet spot with the possibility to attain beaches, restaurants, supermarkets in a shorter time period, this house is a pleasant place to stay! Thank you Steve for this unique experience!

Villa aux multiples avantages

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la villa Koumaria. Celle-ci est moderne, aménagée avec goût, bien équipée, propre et spacieuse. A 7 personnes, on ne se marche pas sur les pieds même autour de la piscine (chacun son transat) ! Les photos sont conformes sauf la vue de la terrasse qui est encore plus incroyable ! Que c’était beau et reposant ! La villa est au calme, elle est bien située car elle permet d’atteindre aussi bien la côte Ouest (Paleokastritsa) que Est (Kerkyra). Steve le propriétaire est charmant. Il répond rapidement aux questions. Il a fait en sorte que le séjour se passe au mieux malgré la situation particulière liée au COVID-19. Nous recommandons fortement cette villa ! N’hésitez plus ! Thank you so much Steve !

Great villa

Communication with owner was excellent both prior to an during our visit and housekeeper Denise was extremely helpful when we locked ourselves out! The villa is spacious, clean and well equipped. The location is remote and peaceful and you will definitely need a car. The last 400ms of the track to the villa is pretty rough in places but the views from the balcony make it worth it!

Fantastic Villa in Beautiful Location

Everything about the villa was brilliant...clean, well equipped and tastefully decorated. The pool and outdoor sun beds and seating areas were fantastic. Any queries were responded to immediately. Altogether, very enjoyable and thoroughly recommended, and we would love to return!

August 2019 - Lovely stay

Family of four had a wonderful stay in this beautifully located villa. Very accurate description of the property was provided and the view from the balcony was stunning. The road to the villa was as described by many others however as we were in a 4 x4 it posed us no issues whatsoever. Very peaceful and ideally located on the island. Steve the owner was excellent in getting back to us when needed.

Happy family

The whole process of enquiry and booking was clear and pretty effortless. Everything ran as expected and the owner was easily contactable., friendly and helpful. The villa itself was lovely - light, bright, clean and spacious and very well equipped. It is off the beaten track, but that was clear from the outset and just what we wanted. That said it is well located for travelling around Corfu. We returned relaxed and reinvigorated.

We stayed in Villa Koumaria for 11 days with our 2 sons. Steve the villa owner very responsive to any enquiries and kindly organised some supplies for our late arrival . The villa is beautifully presented and very well equipped with everything you would need for your stay. Even a walk in wardrobe in main bedroom! Wi-Fi was excellent. Pool fantastic and in secluded location , no neighbours! The location was perfect for us. 20 mins to beautiful Corfu town. 10mins to Kommeno bay where we hire boats to explore right to Corfu town and Agni Bay and waterski with 35 Boats owned by Spyros and his lovley wife. Also 10 mins from our favourite beach at Barbati and another Spyros great boat hire too from here! Finally 20 mins away from possibly the best food in Corfu in Spartillas, Agnadio a family run taverna with amazing views and the most delicious food, made with their own produce . As others have pointed out the last part of road to villa is a track , we found it ok once we had worked out areas to avoid where our hired fiat tippo could ground out! It is a public road apparently but don't think it would be too much trouble to maybe level out these parts and fill with some road chippings maybe, although saying this it would not put us off returning to Villa.

A beautiful villa - well equpped and in a peaceful location

We had a fabulous time in Villa Koumaria. Steve, the owner has thought of everything and the Villa is extremely well-equipped and the photos really don’t do it justice. There was plenty of space for all of us (2 families with three teenagers) and it was wonderful to have choice of indoor and outdoor spaces to eat (although wasps were a bit of a problem at times). The pool was great, the air conditioning was fantastic and easy to control and Wi-fi was excellent. Steve provided very clear instructions for absolutely everything and was very prompt to answer any queries during our stay. He also gave extremely clear instructions for the drive from the airport which we followed without a problem at midnight. We hired two smallish cars which coped with the bumpy 400m track leading to the Villa - you just need to drive VERY slowly over each bump. It is a small price to pay for the peaceful location with incredible views. The local little supermarket in Kato Korakiana provides excellent bread and basic essentials and larger supermarkets are easy to get to. We loved exploring the beaches around the coast and can heartily recommend hiring a boat (we used Spiros Boats on Barbati beach) and pottering around the coast to find quiet beaches. Nikolas Taverna in Agni is an excellent lunch stop (booking is a good idea). We also hired a boat from Paleokastritsa and visited Paradise beach which has unbelievably clear waters and the area is great for snorkelling. All in all, it was a fantastic place to stay with great attention to detail, from the basic provisions we’d requested waiting for us to twice weekly visits from Denise the housekeeper and the pool maintenance man. A perfect holiday location - thank you!

Beautiful, well equipped villa with the most amazing view

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely villa. It has eveything you need and on arrival there was a little package of things such as milk, bread, wine....thank you for that. The pool is great and was very clean. Every morning to look out from the balcony on to the fantastic view towards Corfu Town and the trees and hills was wonderful. It is very secluded and away from it all which we like - we really only had the company of cicadas, friendly crickets, butterflies, birds, and a couple of lizards apart from the one day that we saw the pool cleaner and Denise who cleaned the villa and brought fresh towels half way through our stay which was nice. We would suggest a fairly high clearance car for the track. All in all a great holiday in a super location, thank you.

Maison parfaite pour 8 personnes, un paradis

Séjour d'une semaine pour 8 personnes entre amis. La maison est bien située sur les hauteurs et domine la mer. Nous avons eu une tranquillité sans équivalent. La piscine est vraiment très agréable et la maison assez luxueuse. Nous y reviendrons certainement si nous revenons à Corfou. La transaction s'est passée sans aucun problème et tout était très bien expliqué par le propriétaire. Le ménage en milieu de semaine et en fin de séjour est pris en charge par le propriétaire ce qui fait un plus lorsque l'on est nombreux. Encore un grand merci à Steve pour son organisation.

Perfetto per visitare Corfù! Everything was perfect!

Siamo stati in questa magnifica villa la prima settimana di Settembre, la casa è esattamente come mostrato dalle foto, per cui non ci sono state sorprese, tutto è molto curato e la cucina è completa in ogni suo accessorio. Steve, il padrone di casa, ci ha anche omaggiato con una bottiglia di vino, la comunicazione con lui è stata sempre molto precisa e puntuale. Nota positiva per me, la casa non ha altre proprietà nelle immediate vicinanze, per cui si può godere di un totale relax, ma permette di raggiungere in tempi ragionevoli le spiagge più belle e il centro città, ha una posizione molto centrale... nota negativa ( ma non più di tanto), l'ultimo tratto di strada che conduce alla villa è un po' scosceso, ma niente di così tragico. Per me, fortemente consigliato!!! Thanks Steve from all my friends!!!!

Comfortable house with great view

We arrived on Corfu in the middle of the night and we had like 6 pages of directions to get to the house. As the road was very dark and complicated, we were really happy with the directions! This symbolises the rest of our stay; the house was beautiful, clean and everything, including important details like window-nets (against insects, I don't know the correct English word), were taken care off. The view is great; from the house we could see the sea, Corfu-City and a large part of the island. The only thing we missed, was some shadow at the pool (like umbrellas), because the weather was really hot. Further, we had a great time and I would recommend this house to everyone,

Echt een aanrader!!

Villa Koumaria is een prachtige villa met zwembad en luxe inrichting. Alle kamers zijn sfeervol ingericht, mooie badkamers en de keuken is compleet mét heerlijk koffieapparaat. Het huis is licht en heeft vele ramen, waardoor je een wijdse blik hebt over het landschap. Je ziet dat de eigenaar echt zijn best heeft gedaan om het huisje van alle gemakken te voorzien. De locatie is perfect. What a view!! Je hebt een geweldig uitzicht op de kustlijn vanaf Tzavros tot aan het Oude Fort bij Corfu stad en op het heuvelachtige achterland. Het is er rustig en je hebt veel privacy (geen andere huizen die in je tuin / op het huis kijken). Tegelijkertijd kun je de drukte opzoeken als je wilt. Kustplaatsjes Ipsos en Dassia zijn dichtbij. De ligging is daarnaast een goede uitvalsbasis voor een bezoekje aan de Pantokratos (hoogste berg van Corfu), Paleokastritsa (met als aanrader het kasteel van Angelo), Kassiopi en natuurlijk Corfu stad. In Kato Korakiana, het dichtbijzijnste dorpje, zijn een aantal leuke restaurantjes te vinden waar ook de Grieken zelf komen (dus niet al te toeristisch). Vanaf dat dorpje is het huisje op loop- of mountainbikeafstand (alhoewel wij het daarna wel in onze kuiten voelden door de hoogtewisselingen :)). Het is noodzakelijk om een auto te huren (maakt je ook veel flexibeler in uitstapjes) en wij hadden een Opel Astra. Het zandpaadje naar het huis toe is prima te doen als je gewoon rustig rijdt. Wij arriveerden in het donker, maar desondanks konden we het huisje goed vinden. De Nederlandstalige eigenaar Steve had ons van ter voren een goede routebeschrijving gegeven en al een aantal tips mbt onderweg eten (we arriveerden op zondagavond laat). Toen we aankwamen in het huisje, stonden de flessen water en een fles witten wijn al koud en was er thee, koffie, toast en jam. Heel attent. Verder: goede WiFi verbinding, een TV en een muziekinstallatie waarop je je mobiel / laptop kan aansluiten (met USB of bluetooth). Voor als mensen de rust te veel vinden :) Kortom, dit huis is echt een aanrader!

Highly recommend

We had a fantastic holiday in Corfu and the villa exceeded our expectations. It is beautiful, quiet and well equipped. The access to the villa is dirt road for the final half kilometer or so and another reviewer expressed concerns with the road. We had no trouble, you just need to drive slowly along this stretch. We rented a Hyundi trajet which did not have extra ground clearance and experienced no problems.The directions to the villa were clear and exact and we had no problem finding it at midnight...although that last half kilometer did seem long in the dark! There were 7 of us on holiday including four 19- 21 year olds. The Island is small so it was easy for them to sample the nightlife/clubs and get a taxi back to the villa ( torch needed as the taxi dropped them at the dirt road) while the rest of us sipped wine on the balcony/terrace while admiring the beautiful views and watching the sun set. We sampled some of the recommended restaurants and loved The Sixty Needles. Great food and friendly staff. We also loved the Select restaurant also in Kato Korakiana. The owner/waiters eccentricity only added to our enjoyment. Best food we had in Corfu.Both of these restaurants are walking distance from the villa, takes about 40 minutes and meant we could have a couple of drinks. Torch required for walking back in the dark.Tried to go to Vinieri Bistro on our last night (rated highly on trip adviser) but it was full so booking is recommended. Lots to do and see during the daytime if you want to leave the villa. We loved Agios Georgios beach. We spent a few mornings in Corfu town. Amazingly ornate churches, interesting old fortress and some lovely shops as well as the usual tat in a tourist area. We wanted to go to the archaeological museum but has been closed for the past year for renovations!! The pace is slow in Corfu. We loved the banknote museum, we were the only people in it at the time. Informative guide. Take a boat trip. Really fun, good value and yummy food provided. We took ours from Dassia beach with a company called Asteras. When you are tired of the heat and lying around Aqualand is the place to be! Only 25 euro a head and something for all ages. We would recommend a good map, some we had literally cut corners! we found a good one in Dassia. We had a great holiday and loved the villa, Corfu and the friendly Greek people.

Prachtige villa op bijzondere plek

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad in Villa Koumaria. We konden het huis makkelijk vinden via de duidelijke route-beschrijving. Direct bij aankomst voelde het huis heel vertrouwd. Onze hoge verwachtingen werden meer dan waargemaakt. De keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien. Goede matrassen op de bedden. Heerlijk zwembad met lekkere ligstoelen en gezellig prieeltje. Prachtig uitzicht vanaf de varanda, een ideale plek om 's-ochtends te ontbijten. We hebben mooie tochtjes gemaakt in de omgeving, authentieke griekse dorpjes en heerlijke strandjes. We hebben ook gemountainbiked (vlakbij te huren, met hele goede kwaliteit fietsen). Kortom: een ideale plek om tot rust te komen, maar waar ook genoeg ruimte is om leuke dingen te ondernemen - we komen zeker terug ! Familie Boot

Prachtige rustig gelegen villa

De villa is nog mooier dan de beschrijving, erg schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. De villa is erg luxe en heel mooi afgewerkt. Het zwembad en het terras was erg fijn. We hadden alle informatie van de eigenaar gehad. Het huis ligt op een berg, waardoor een mooi uitzicht je hoort alleen de vogels. We hebben lekker gegeten bij 60 Needles in het dorp. Je bent zo in Ipsos en Dassia en in een half uur in Corfu stad. Deze villa is een echte aanrader.
