Nice place
This property was nice and cozy. The beds were harder that rocks, the toilet downstairs had to be plunged every time it was used. Snow on the trees blocked reception for the satellite so no TV. Cabin was warm. -22 degrees when we left.
The front steps need repair, a few of the wood steps are soft and or broken, had bug issues in the basement. The black beetles are crawling around. Both toilets do not flush all that well. Everything else was great. Excellent area, beds good.
We enjoyed our stay. Our cabin was cozy and cute and everyone rested well. We made a great bfast and it had everything we needed. Some of our group went hiking and had a great hike. Thanks for allowing us to stay!

We enjoyed the cabin and the fact that is was 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen had suitable items for cooking and the laundry was a useful feature during our stay. A drawback was the carpet as with rainy weather and bike gear it isn’t easy to take off outside but there is carpet going upstairs and also downstairs which always makes a person nervous as you don’t want to dirty it. There were a few stains on the carpet already so it may need to be updated at some point.
We really enjoyed the cabin & surrounding area. Everything was great, lots of space for us to relax & spread out. The kitchen was great too. It had everything we needed. Wi-Fi was slow, but that’s ok because we appreciated the movie selection in dvds. Thanks again!
The place was great, had everything we needed and exceeded our expectations, great location, very quiet and roomy. The only issue we had was the numbers for the cabin blend in with the deck, so it took us a little while to actually find it, but no biggie. I would def. stay again.
Only a stones throw from Terry Peak parking, yet quiet and peaceful. Well kept homey cabin. Split level, a little draw back with ski legs in the evening. Great low traffic dog walking roads. Excellent snow removal. Must revisit.
After a very long drive from St. Louis, Missouri, we pulled into the driveway and from that moment, were not disappointed. We were greeted by two ‘friends’ (deer) grazing on the property. Written directions to access the property and how to check in were spot on and seamless. The cabin is, and has, everything you could want or need. There was plenty of room,, and the kitchen had every utensil you could need for cooking in, as well as having plenty of room. Having a gas grill was great and we did cook one night on it. It was just two of us but there were plenty of towels, beds, sheets for a larger family or group.
The only con was that it was pretty dusty, but I always bring wipes anyway just in case, so after going over the furniture we would use it was fine. We initially booked 3 nights, and decided we wanted to stay 3 more. The hosts made it seamless to extend our stay. As another reviewer wrote: do be careful about going outside and shutting the door without a key-the door will lock behind you.
The online pictures accurately represent this property so there are no surprises. If you are looking for a mountain getaway in the Black Hills of SD, this is the place! We highly recommend it and would stay here again!
It was exactly like described. Had the perfect amount of beds and rooms. It was very homey. We kept referring to it as home. Very quiet area and plenty of privacy.
We really enjoyed the house in the hills. All the amenities were great with plenty of space. The gravel driveway it was a bit of a challenge with the bikes but we knew it coming in and made do just fine. Thanks for a good experience!
Mostly enjoyed the stay. Here is a list of ups and downs:
Upside
• Beds were comfortable
• Ample supply of hot water
• Beautiful surroundings
• Good assortment of pots and pans
• Appliances all worked correctly
Downside

• Door handle locks lock unexpectedly when one goes out the door stranding whomever exited the door
• Garbage can had 3 bags in it: 1 kitchen & 2 small bags
• Need eave over stairway
• Siding has splotches of missing paint
• South east corner has missing siding
Basement
• Family room table lamp broken
• Bathroom door has a hole
• Bedroom windows need privacy curtains
• Doors are hard to close
Upstairs
• East bedroom lamp shade needs replacement
• Bathroom has no place to set things
• No facial tissue
• Only 1 backup toilet paper roll
General
• Need an ADA toilet
• WiFi is not fast enough to support Roku. It is 0.5Mbs download and 0.1 Mbs upload
We were a little surprised buy all the stains in the carpet. I took photos as soon as we walked in to make sure they wouldn’t charge us. The fridge makes a horrible noise that makes it hard to sleep if your upstairs. Plus the fridge door doesn’t stay shut.
