The location is ideal with the extended 30 foot covered porch extending out towards the beautiful lagoon. Be sure to check out the turtles in the morning as they gather when you step onto the deck! Also great about this location is that it is nearest to the main amenity area with three tiered pool and oversized hot tubs, tennis courts and playgrounds. In front of the unit is a terrific grilling area with benches and corn hole station.
Inside are accommodations for five adults and a child if needed. The first bedroom has an extended twin bed and a queen size bed. The second bedroom has a king size bed and opens onto the balcony area overlooking the lagoon. Each bedroom has plenty of closet space, its own bathroom, and a large TV. This is also the unit we use for ourselves, so all the linens, pillows, and mattresses are brand new and premium ensuring a wonderful night's sleep. The bathrooms have porcelain tile floors, custom tiled showers (1st bath has shower/bath combo), custom high end fixtures and cabinetry and nice little nick knacks.
We spent a great deal of time on the kitchen with custom cabinetry, quartz counters, new stainless appliances, heavy duty washer and dryer, high end fixtures, and custom tile back splash. We opened to kitchen to the dining and living room areas to add light, space, and social interaction.
The dining table sits six people easily and can accommodate more. It has a Possini chandelier and a large kitchen island next to it for staging dinner. There is a small desk area (if you have to work while on vacation).
The living room area is open and sits seven adults very comfortably. It includes a large sectional, relaxing recliner and a lovely sitting area with reading lamp. It is flooded with natural lighting through the tall sliding doors which lead to the balcony area overlooking the water.
The covered porch area has seating for six adults and includes a few small tables for drinks and food. The views are fantastic! You may enjoy looking at the lagoon with all its wildlife or towards the bridge and pool area for a little more excitement. It is both fun and relaxing and great place to enjoy.
Island Club is a wonderful resort filled with amenities and perhaps the best beach on the island. A very short walk leads you to the main amenity area with a 12 person hot tub, waterfall cascading into the long lap pool area, and a wonderful kids water park area overlooking the lagoon. This is also a major tennis and pickle ball complex for those wanting to hit the courts. We have a basketball court, several playgrounds, volleyball court, and even a bike rental center on site. AND THEN THERE IS THE BEACH!! It is spectacular and something you will certainly not want to miss! Plenty of deck space for sunning and lots and lots of sand and water. This is an absolutely fantastic complex and one we are sure you and your family will enjoy!
Another great thing is the resort's location. It is away from crowded south side of the island, yet very close to Shelter Cove and some of the best shopping, restaurants, and fun spots on the island. You just can't beat it!
