We enjoyed the quaint little cottage, Black Bear #4. Location was perfect, easy access to Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park. The cottage was very cozy and clean.
We had a few days off and needed a quick getaway. Wanted the cabin in the mountains with a hot tub just to relax. This place was cute, easy to find, close amenities and the hot tub right out the back door. Nothing glamorous or anything but it had everything we needed to chill and enjoy. The property was clean and well maintained

Estes park vrbo cabin
the cabin was nice, the reason we had to give one star on cleanliness is because of the moldy smell inside the cabin

Nice friendly stay.
The cabin smelled a little funny and the futon killed my back. Otherwise this was a great place to stay. Comfortable, centrally located and the hot tub was great! Next time I will get a bit bigger place. We had a great weekend away.
We absolutely loved our cabin. Great location, great view, nice and quiet, everything was perfect except the furniture was a bit uncomfortable. The bed was great though. That wouldn't keep us away though. 😁
Cabin was exactly what was described on the reservation. We enjoyed ourselves and would definitely come back.
Only things that we noticed was the Shower pan needs to be replaced. It is cracked and feels like the floor is giving way under either you while showering and the exhaust fan needs cleaned.
My girlfriend and i really enjoyed our stay at the Lazy R Cottages. It was a relaxing stay at the cabin because of the hot tub, of course, and having stuff to cook really was convenient. The only thing that u was bummed about was whenever we cooked a meal, even the lightest smoke made the fire alarms sounds off for a couple of times and some of the smoke stayed in the cabin even with windows opened and fans turned on. But all in all, mostly likely will comeback for another future stay here since we both love going to estes park
This was a great little cabin for a weekend away. The hot tub was well maintained and the management company was very communicative. I only had a few minor inconveniences with the trip, but nothing that I would have called and complained about. The baseboard heating didn't have any labeling on the adjustment dial to know if I was increasing or decreasing the heat, and there was no large salad / mixing bowl in the kitchen. It was easy enough to find a work around for both of these.
Excellent location near RMNP and downtown Estes Park. Very cozy place with comfy bed. Loved the porch. Enjoyed mule deer in the yard and listened to elk bugle throughout the day and night.
Rental was equipped with hot tub and it required a code. Never figured out how to us code. Somehow the hot tub locked out and didn’t heat the second day/night so we really couldn’t use it because the temperature dropped into low 90’s. Quite bummed. That is why we rented the place and paid the price. Otherwise, a very nice stay.
Cute little cabin, nice to have the hot tub. Had some small maintenance items reported to the call desk, and they were responsive with follow up. Nice to be at the gateway into Rocky. Went sledding and enjoyed fresh snow.
We’ve stayed in cabin 4 before. I remember the days when a little notebook was in the cabin for travelers to leave their experiences. This was our first time traveling to this cabin with our daughter, now 8 years old. The cabin is showing it’s age, but it’s still cozy and comfy. Word to the wise- the futon bed is worn and CREAKY. Every little move my daughter made on the futon bed made it creak, which made it hard to get a good nights sleep. We used the bedroom pillows to make the futon more comfortable to sit on. The knob on the baseboard heater didn’t work, but the little gas furnace kept the unit warm. The tv remotes were hard to figure out. The kitchen could use a few extra basics, like a spatula and a sponge for washing dishes. The hot tub was clean and hot, though it was missing the neck pillows. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but we were disappointed in some of the finer details.

Loved the hot tub, cabin was the perfect size and cozy. We did find a clump of dog hair by the couch and dog poop in the back near the hot tub, but otherwise the cottage was very clean and fully stocked. Also, maintenance was very helpful and immediatley responsive. Will come back!
We loved it for the most part. Just a couple of small things would have made it even better:
The heater was on in the bedroom when we got there which made the cabin little to warm the first evening. It cooled down during the night, thank goodness.
One more lounging chair would have made it more comfortable for 4 adult people to sit around & relax.
The hot tub service guy over filled the hot tub every day. When all 4 of us got in each night it would overflow and make the ground muddy.
One of the small juice glasses has a leak. There were only 3 coffee mugs, we could've used 4.
These are all very small things, and again, we all loved our stay!
Thanks, Jim!
Great little place, enjoyed the hot tub. Could use some updating.
