Oaks at Wasatch Amazing Townhome - Gourmet Kitchen, Large Spaces

Welcome to JUST DOWNHILL. Our family has been skiing here for over 18 years and this is our Happy Place to vacation. We love this area for skiing but also for hiking, biking, fishing, national parks, Sundance, and family time.

Located between Big and Little Cottonwood Canyon, this is your home away from home vacation destination. Just Downhill is an ideal location with access to all the ski resorts in Utah: minutes away from Alta, Snowbird, Brighton, and Solitude or a 30-minute drive to Park City, The Canyons, and Deer Valley. (Schedule posted in the kitchen) Skiers/Boarders will love the private hot tub, ski rack in the garage, and boot dryer.
UPDATED JANUARY 2023: The ski bus stop 972 has been discontinued for the season. A car is needed to get to the bus stop parking lots (both within 5 minutes to either canyon.) It is deeply missed. You will need a parking reservation on the weekends or the cost is $25 to park. We are sorry for this change ( we are upset as well).

The open style kitchen is set for large groups, as everyone always gathers in the kitchen. The kitchen is well stocked for home-cooked meals. There is also a gas grill on the patio.

The 2 family rooms make it ideal for adults and teens to have their own hang out spaces. Both containing large smart TVs for access to your Hulu, Amazon Prime, or Netflix.

Upstairs contains the master bedroom, a comfortable King bed with a spacious closet, enough to unpack for the entire week. The Master Bath has a large spa tub with stellar mountain views. Two other bedrooms are on the 2nd floor: King and Queen sleeping arrangements.

The cozy basement, "The Caps Haus Den", is where the sports/movies will be shown on tv with comfy couches. There is another King bedroom, along with the bunk room and a sofa bed in the common area. There is also a full bath on this level.

The patio has a grill, table, and a hot tub; great for apres skiing.

What's nearby:
Enjoy all that Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons offer in the beautiful Wasatch Mountain Forest. During winter months, the ski bus is a short walk for access to:
Snowbird, Alta, Brighton, and Solitude. In summer, enjoy the new mountain coaster at Snowbird Summer Resort, as well as endless hiking trails and world-class mountain biking. Fall boasts great foliage hikes and Oktoberfests at Snowbird and Park City.
This rental is also just five minutes from the freeway, so you can be in Park City and Deer Valley in about 30 minutes. If you decide to go into downtown Salt Lake City to check out the shopping and other cultural attractions, you're only about 19 miles from the heart of the city.

This townhouse, Just Downhill, is the perfect place for large groups of friends and family to enjoy all of the outdoor life which Utah has to offer. Our goal is to provide all of our guests with a spectacular experience while staying with us at Just Downhill. We are available to address any needs or issues that may arise during your stay and have reciprocally developed some basic protocols that we request you follow to assist us in providing a 5-star experience to everyone.

Comforts of home

Our family of eleven enjoyed a comfortable stay at Laurie beautiful home. She has created a welcoming environment and we all felt we were at home. The kitchen was so well equipped with lots of pans, cookie sheets and equipment we didn't even use. The seating was perfect for our large group to eat together each evening. The extra heaters helped greatly in the outward facing rooms. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Fantastic

House was plenty big, beds were comfy, and is at a cant beat location for skiing. We left at 8am to go to Alta/Snowbird on a Saturday and it only took us 40 minutes.

Great place!

We had a great time at the house - 2 families with 4 teens. There was plenty of space for us and the house was very well appointed, with everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, spices, cleaning products. The ski boot dryer was great and handle 6 pairs of boots and gloves. The children enjoyed the hot tub after the ski day. We did take the ski shuttle from the complex which was very convenient. The house had some issues with the internet, but Mike and Laurie were very helpful and responsive. We were able to get the wifi working after the first day.

Amazing home and location for a group ski weekend

We had a fantastic time staying at Just Downhill! We were a group of 10 adults in town for a long ski weekend. The home is very well kept, the cleaning service did a fantastic job and Laurie was super responsive to anything we needed. The rooms are all very large with plenty of space for ski bags and gear to be put away and not taking over the common areas. As someone who rents often for ski and summer group trips, this was the best kept home I have rented. I would highly recommend this rental and hope to return in future years!

Perfect location!

We loved our week at this townhome! The location was perfect - only 20 minutes from downtown Salt Lake and 20-30 minutes from multiple ski locations, giving our family many daily options! A local grocery is literally 2 minutes away, making food runs convenient and easy. Lots of other shopping/eating options (Target, Home Depot, restaurants) are only 10min further. The layout was perfect for our family - basement bunking/bath/tv ideal for our teens and the main level kitchen and living space was roomy and functional. The kitchen was nicely equipped and the layout spacious for cooking & gathering. The entire townhome was clean and very comfortable...and quiet! The owners are gracious, kind and communicate well. We would definitely stay here again, without question! Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday week with our family in your lovely townhome. It was perfect!

We loved our stay here! Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. Great for our family Thanksgiving feast & additional family movie nights & football gathering. Kitchen was fully stocked w/ everything needed. Comfy beds & plenty of all other accessories. Enjoyed the hot tub as well. Communication with the host was prompt in booking and even on Thanksgiving when we had a question.

Family snow vaca get away

This property was a perfect fit for our family. Close to ski resorts - grocery shopping was a breeze, able to do a Target run with in 3 miles from the property. Trader Joes near by as well! Had a fabulous visit to the Salt Lake Aquarium. Comfy beds, plenty of linens, Hot tub was perfect way to relax tired bodies. We even used the recommendation of the host to have a Massage Therapist come to the house and provide 3 massages! The home had enough space for our entire family to have their own privacy or be all together. Definitely would contact the owners again when we make another Utah ski vacation ! Thank you Laurie!

Amazing Owner

I wasn't able to stay and had to cancel my visit last minute due to COVID-19. Laurie was amazing and easy to work with. Eventually she was able to refund my money. I wish I could comment on her place, but I will say if the way she deals with guests is any reflection on her home then it must be great. I will definetly book again in the future.

Ski the Canyons

Excellent location for skiing the Cottonwood Canyons as well as Park City. The king bed, bunk beds, full bath, and sitting room in the basement gives the property greater ability to handle blended groups of various sorts.

Wonderful home

We stayed here for a ski trip last week, and this house was perfect in terms of amenities and location. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, but is near a main road, which makes it easy and quick to travel wherever you’d like to go in the Salt Lake area. The kitchen had everything you’d need and the rooms were fully stocked with blankets, extra pillows, shampoo, etc. We LOVED using the hot tub after a long day of skiing. Would definitely stay here again for our next trip out to the area.

Great Location for the Bird

During our stay we had a nice 14 inch wake up call with the roads closed until 9. Due to the property being right on the path between the freeway and Snowbird it was super easy to jump in line due to a traffic light at the intersection with the rest of the people waiting for early powder. Highly recommend this house especially if you need 5 bedrooms.
