The stay was nice. The location was perfect. It was quiet and you can walk to downtown. The beds were very firm but that could be good or bad depending on your preference.
Lovely older home near lots of trees. In a great location. Was very clean and true too description on listing. Would suggest they have firewood for the wood burning stove they describe in the property description. The only issue we had was with the 1st floor bathroom shower and some squirrels who might of gotten in to some walls. But it is an older home so not 100% from where the noise came from.
Place was a great value. It was exactly what we were looking for in a weekend getaway. It has all the necessary amenities and the charm of a quaint cottage. If you are looking for lots of TVs and modern upgrades you may want to look elsewhere, but the location and property are perfect for getting to all the local attractions. Check-in Check-out was seamless.
This is our second stay here and we will be back. The area is historic and sweet and the homes location is central to most things in the area. The house is rustic, lived in and charming. There is plenty of room for the whole family including your pets. The not shiny new and perfect makes you feel like you are visiting your hrandma.perfect
Located in a historic side of Harbor Springs this house has plenty of space for our 6 guests, an infant and dogs.
Neighboring up to an elementary and middle school, great playgrounds for kiddos. Fenced in backyard for dogs to enjoy.
A few blocks from downtown, grocery, harbor, this was an excellent location for a relaxing time with family. Felt very safe.
Only downfall would be a little musty, had to open windows upon arrival and that took care of it. A few stains on the carpets but nothing egregious. House was STOCKED with pots/pans/towels/truly everything needed.
Would stay again!
Very cozy comfortable and lived in. Did not feel like i had to worry my kids might make a mess. They even had a table and chairs to use in the living room for the kids to craft or play games. We loved it and plan on coming back to this house again. Lots of room inside and out to spread out for our family.
Had a lovely time at this property. We hope to come back again. House needs a little bit of updates. Very charming home.

Renter Beware
This is an older home that has neither been maintained or deep cleaned. We rented for a month but left after a few days. Between tripped gfi and breaker, and lack of cleanliness we were not enjoying the stay. The ceilings, paint, furniture, carpets and appliances need to be replaced. These are long term issues. Unfortunately we did not receive any refund so a very expensive mistake.
We arrived at our "home" for our 2-week vacation in Harbor Springs. This was the first time renting this location, and we were apprehensive if this location met our previous expectations from other rentals in the area.
Upon entering this property, all apprehensiveness disappeared! The layout and amount of space had a comfortable 'your home' feel. The front porch is delightful. We spent most of our time there either working or entertaining.
The inside is as described by the owner. Downstairs master attached to a bathroom. This is also the downstairs shared bathroom. Upstairs are two rooms with three beds and a bathroom. Plenty of fans are available for the warmer days. The extra room with bunk beds and a pullout couch adds extra charm.
We will be coming to Harbor Springs and this property next year.
Large home perfect for a large group of 10 people. Comfortable living room. One first floor bedroom. Plenty of table space. The bonus room was perfect for the kids, bunk beds, couch that makes into bed and their own TV. They loved having their own place. Would stay again.
This home sits a short walk away from bluff drive and downtown harbor springs. The home was as advertised and met all our needs during our stay. Would certainly stay here again.
We came up for a short stay and really enjoyed this location. Plenty of space to spread out inside, plus the big yard. Location was ideal - close enough to walk downtown, but still nice and quiet with a ton of trees. We would definitely stay here again!
Nice location, close to town and nice fenced in yard for the dog. House in need of updates but pictures in listing are accurate so you know what you are getting.

Harbor Springs Lake St. property
I was concerned from listing that property looked dark. Previous review mentioned stained carpet. The condition of this property was appalling. Owner said he had addressed carpets and all had been steam cleaned. I don’t think so! Carpets were filthy! Myself, husband, son and daughter in law stayed here because we had a small well behaved dog with us. If I had had anywhere else to go with a dog, I would have left! Windows were dirty, dead bugs all over window sills, When I got to house, had to unload dishwasher, unload and fold laundry in dryer. When I took a shower, water wouldn’t drain from tub. Told owner who said housekeeper would be by to plunge drain. Plastic shower curtain liner was covered with mold. She came by 2 days later and replaced liner, but couldn’t take care of drain. My husband went and bought 2 bottles of Drano, which we used and then tub would drain. This property is not maintained at all and no thought is given to comfort of guest. The location is great for getting to downtown and all it has to offer. My concerns were expressed to owner who refunded $200. A week here was not cheap! Definitely unhappy, but did get to see grandchildren who were staying in town at house my son and his wife rented which was lovely.

Something felt a bit off...
Everything in the home needs a refresh
A bit of thoughtful organization can go a long way
The rental was intended just for sleeping so it served its purpose

Great location but needs a lot of TLC
We drove up to danger tape encompassing the front door and trash on the ground near the side door. It would have been nice to have been informed about the lack of use of front door and the construction. The house is large and located very near downtown Harbor Springs and Lake Michigan. The house needs a lot of love. The bathrooms were clean but the floors could have used some more cleaning and maybe sprayed for insects. My daughter had two spiders crawling on her in the upstairs double room. The carpet is stained. The furniture has holes....I mean some of the chairs had huge holes in the seat of them and were basically unusable. The kitchen was well stocked with what you would need on a vacation. I had read on previous reviews that it wasn't fancy but I was not expecting it to be so worn and with such stained carpets. The owner was responsive when I called and asked about the trash. He apologized about it and said it must have been the previous visitors. I picked it up so the next visitors wouldn't have to deal with it. I would have thought his cleaner would have cleaned it up. The location and size can't be beat but we will find another place the next time we visit Harbor Springs.
