Escape to this fantastic 1800 square foot canal-front property located in the beautiful Northwest Port Charlotte Myakka River area of Florida. The property features 200 feet of canal frontage and a private dock, perfect for fishing or enjoying breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. This spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom property comfortably sleeps five guests, making it perfect for couples or families.

The spacious master bedroom boasts a large walk-in closet, a comfy sofa, a flat-screen TV, and French doors that lead to the back lanai and Florida room. The en-suite bathroom includes an extra-large shower for your comfort and convenience. The second bedroom offers a queen-sized bed and ample closet space, and the second bathroom features a bathtub/shower combination.

The comfortable kitchen comes complete with stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, microwave, electric range and oven, as well as small appliances including a regular brew coffee maker, toaster, blender, crock pot, and electric mixer. The kitchen features a pass-through window to the pool and back lanai,. A door in the kitchen leads to the carport and utility room, which accesses the side yard. The carport also features a gas grill for outdoor cooking.

The living room is tastefully decorated and features a 55-inch flat-screen TV with satellite, as well as two couches and two easy chairs. The indoor dining room seats four and offers a rattan/bamboo dining set, and there is additional outdoor dining space available on the screened lanai.

The private pool is the perfect spot for cooling off or soaking up the Florida sunshine, and the spacious screened Florida room offers a small eating counter and a pass-through window to the kitchen. The lanai also features outdoor seating for up to six guests, including a sectional and two side chairs, and there are pool towels, pool floats, and toys for your use.

The outdoor bar and entertainment area is inspired by Key West and offers a unique and fun spot to relax and enjoy the canal view.

The property is located in a great neighborhood on the southern border of North Port and Sarasota County, with excellent shopping just a mile away. Manasota Key and Stump’s Pass Beach are less than ten miles away and offer hiking, swimming, fishing, and some fantastic beachfront restaurants and bars, including the Lock 'N Key Restaurant & Pub and Gulf View Grill. Gasparilla Island, located just 18 miles from the house, features Gasparilla Island State Park and the Boca Grande Lighthouse and uncrowded beaches.

The owner lives on-site in the guest house and is available to ensure timely responses to any property-related problems that occur and offer insights into local attractions and restaurants. WiFi is available but can be slow, so take the opportunity to relax and unplug during your stay. Parties or events are not allowed.

Get away from Minnesota for a week

We have stayed at a lot of VRBO’s. Without a doubt, Bradley is the best host we have ever had. He is exceptional. The house is super clean and well stocked. If we had a question or minor issue, he was all over it immediately. We literally could not have asked for more.

Bradley was a great host! We had everything we needed! The house was beautiful and we loved the dock at the canal! We even spotted an alligator the very first day. Don’t be scared, the house is securely fenced in. The only downside was the poor internet. But that’s not his fault. The provider don’t seem to find it necessary to support this part of the area with broadband. Anyhow, we had no problem with it. Enjoyed interesting talks with Bradley and we wish him all the best! A+A+A+

Perfect Getaway :)

My husband, sister, and I, came to town to visit our mom and brothers that live locally. This house was perfect for a long weekend. Our flight arrived late, so we didn't make it to the house until almost 1am. Bradley was very thoughtful and had the house stocked with all the little items you need which saved us from wasting time going shopping right away. The house is very spacious and well kept. We enjoyed having coffee outside on the screened in porch/Florida room. There are so many beaches within 30 mins - 1hr driving distance. The house is stocked with beach chairs, towels, and umbrella. It was so easy to pack it up in the car and take off for the sand and sun. We will definitely consider this house again when visiting our family.

Quiet, peaceful stay.

This place is located in a neighborhood (rather than a tourist area) and was so quiet and peaceful. The accommodations were great with 2BR/2BA, a huge living/dining room, well equipped kitchen, and an awesome screened lanai. The lanai had ample seating, a TV, sliding window access to the kitchen and a great pool. We enjoyed coffee in the morning and cocktails in the afternoon, while sitting on the dock on the canal. Restaurants were only a short drive as well as all kinds of shopping. The host lives on site and checked in with us to offer assistance but otherwise made himself scarce. We really didn't even know that he was there. I'd definitely stay again if I'm in this area and would recommend it to others.

Great pool home

Long time VRBO host, first time as a guest. Bradley is a great host. We were looking for a place with a pool nearby to visit our son and family who live in North Port. The grandkids loved the pool and we had a great time just hanging out and grilling for the weekend. This place has everything you need. Tiki bar and dock are nice but we didn’t use them much. Only suggestion for improvement would be adding ceiling fans to the covered porch. Thanks for sharing you place with us Bradley.

Will never stay anywhere else in Florida!

Rented Brad’s house for 2weeks in July with my friend and her 2 teenage daughters. Before our arrival date, we received a message from Brad requesting our drinks & snacks of choice. Not realizing that he left us a message, we never responded. Brad took it upon himself to stock the refrigerator with a variety of drinks & snacks to welcome us. Although Brad and his dog live on the property in a separate guesthouse, he’s so quiet you’d never know it. By far, one of the nicest people we’ve ever met! The house and property were as nice as the pictures portray and also very very clean. We all had such a great time hanging out in the house, and lounging by the pool, we hardly left the property at all! Everyone had such an amazing time, that we all agreed there is nowhere else we’d rather stay when vacationing in Florida. The property is colorful, clean and fun and Brad is truly a class act. If you’re thinking about staying here, do it! You won’t regret it!

Lovely home with everything you need.

Our family had an amazingly experiences at this property. The property is situated in a quiet laid back neighborhood on a canal with a boat dock, fishing spot, screened pool and Florida room were we spent a lot of time. The property had everything that you needed for a fun day at the beach that is roughly 30 minutes away. Brad, made a point to personalize our stay with a welcome letter and some items to get us started for time there. A nice and welcome touch was bathrooms with plenty of towels and full sized shampo, conditioner, and bodywash. If we visit the area again we definitely would stay here again.

Ultimate Relaxation

This is by far the best VRBO we have ever stayed at. No need to repeat other reviews but it is all true. Brad is so accommodating. Kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked. AND he tells you where to find more supplies. Most VRBOs are stingy with products. Brad makes your stay so easy. Location is just amazing. So private, it feels like your own resort. Love the outdoor space. Note for future guests: the Wifi is pretty weak. My husband had to work from the VRBO so we used our phone hotspot. (AT&T) This worked just fine but just a heads up for those who have kids with tablets or laptops. Be sure to look in the cabinet in the carport. We bought some things at the beach then realized that they were in the cabinet. If you are looking for something to do with kids, try out the North Port Aquatic Center. Very reasonably priced and lots for the family to do.

Port Charlotte House

My husband and I had a great time at this Port Charlotte house. We had easy check in and the manager was awesome leaving us cold beers to enjoy after our long drive and even coffee for the morning. The house was amazing. We enjoyed the pool as well as fishing steps away from the home. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our vacation. Would love to stay again!

A quiet paradise

We absolutely loved staying here. Our host was so kind and available for any assistance. The home was clean and beautiful. It was a quiet neighborhood and made to stay like a private resort. We had a gorgeous tiki bar by the water and a pool my kids refused to get out of. Honestly, this is the only place we will be staying at from now on when we visit Florida!

We had a great stay at Brads home in northern Port Charlotte. He was a great host. He was very attentive to our needs. The outdoor space was wonderful. His home was very well stocked! He even left us muffins and coffee and creamer for our first morning as well as adult beverages for our first night. Any issues that we had were addressed asap. We have rebooked for next winter!

Awesome place.

Nice quiet neighborhood. House was very nice, lanai and pool were great. Nice and relaxing looking out over the canal. About 20 minutes from some nice beaches. Brad was a great host, had some beer and root beer waiting for us and some breakfast items for the morning. Definetly recommend!

Perfect Rental on the Canal

This was absolutely perfect for us! Our son could fish whenever he wanted on the canal and we could relax by the screened in pool. Bradley was an excellent host and made sure we had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the location as well. Everything we wanted to do was about 30 minutes away. Walmart was less than 5 minutes. But it was also away from the main drag and we enjoyed several walks around the neighborhood. We would definitely recommend this place and hope to come back again soon.

A former entertainment industry executive Brad has been entertaining and accommodating guests and clients for over 25 years. Brad lives on the property in the guest house with Sofia, a 9-year old puggle. Brad grew up in San Diego, has lived in Los Angeles, New York, Rome , the Big Island of Hawaii for the last four years and now South Florida.

Why they chose this property

After deciding to move back the mainland warm and water was my two priorities. I looked throughout southwest Florida and fell in love with this area and specifically this neighborhood and property. It clicked on the "I want" boxes including another opportunity to host people from all over the globe.
