Welcome to the Applewood Inn! The beautiful mountain retreat is located in the town of Wrightwood. At 6,000 ft elevation you will experience fresh air and nature at its finest. In addition to 6 bedrooms your group can enjoy access to a spacious kitchen, dining room, gathering room, and several patios and porches, providing you with amazing views of the neighboring apple orchard and pine trees.

The Space:
The Applewood Inn is a comfortable, bright, well-appointed 3,800 square foot property. This space is ideal for family or friend reunions, ski vacations, or any type of mountain retreat. The large kitchen, dining room and gathering room are perfect for congregating, and each room has its own bathroom along with kitchenettes for those that want more privacy.

Guest Access:
Guests will gain access to the Applewood Inn via a keypad code. All guests have access to a large and fully equipped kitchen as well as a large dining room for family meals. There is a large patio area with a gas barbecue and plenty of seating or outdoor meals. Guests can enjoy the afternoon sun or conversations overlooking the apple farm on the covered porch, complete with rockers and side tables. Enjoy time with your family and other guests in the large gathering room. This room has a gas fireplace, a game table where you can enjoy a favorite game or puzzle, and comfy furniture for relaxing, visiting, or reading. Guests have access to a high-speed fiber-optics wifi system throughout the entire Inn.

Additionally:
The Applewood Inn is located near the center of town, an easy walk to coffee shops and restaurants, grocery stores, gift shops, spa services, and grocery stores. The ski area, Mountain High, is located less that 5 miles from the Inn. Guests can enjoy hundreds of miles of hiking trails, including the Pacific Crest Trail, which runs through the town. Other outdoor activities include zip-lining at Zip Line at Pacific Crest and mountain or road biking.

Family winter trip
Fun weekend getaway with our four adult children, their spouses and the grand children. We love going to Wrightwood because the drive is so much easier than Big Bear. Not much snow this year but we took the kids to Yeti Snow Play and we went on a couple of hikes. The house is perfect for our group, 6 separate bedrooms with bathroom attached. We wish they’d add a hot tub. But otherwise the house is great!

Amazing weekend!
Our family always does a winter weekend up in the local mountains, typically Big Bear, but this year we decided on the easier and shorter drive to Wrightwood. We were so lucky to find Applewood Inn to rent for the weekend. It was perfect! 6 bedrooms to accommodate my husband and myself and all of our grown and married children. And what a plus to all have our own bathrooms! Our grandchildren loved running through the spacious house and hiding in the many different rooms. Sydney was always available to answer our questions before and during the trip. She even brought us her personal coffee maker when the one at the inn wasn’t working properly. We plan to be back next winter.

Christmas at The Applewood Inn
This is our second year spending Christmas at the Applewood Inn. Having a handicapped spouse and Father with walker, works perfectly as one level. The rooms are great and the living room and dining room flow is great. Love the windows bringing light into all the rooms. We love this property and will be back again. We were not in need of anything. Thank you - The Ruiz and Hoffman family

We enjoyed our stay! The inn is well maintained and the location is perfect! Host was very quick in communicating. Just be aware that there are 5 and a half bathrooms, somehow it showed 6 bathrooms on the listing when we booked.

This is an amazing stay in Wrightwood, CA! Just down the street from Mountain High Ski Resort - The Applewood Inn is a perfect mountain escape. All the charm of a woodland retreat without the layers of kitsche. It's as open - inviting - and bright as it says! I can only hope we can join them again in the future! Gorgeous!

Absolutely Perfect!
This property was fantastic. The location was wonderful & it was incredibly clean. The space could easily host multiple families, but it was also perfect for our work trip where everyone needed their own space at night. The living room was more than enough space for our group of 8 to come together comfortably. The owners were easy to communicate with and so helpful. Check-in was a breeze. I would highly recommend this property to any large group who is looking for a place to stay in Wrightwood.

Outstanding house for large families. Everyone could have their own room and bathroom. One room had a small living room attached with a pull-out bed and this worked great for my daughter, husband, and two children. Great kitchen to cook in. Overall just a great house.

Small Town Getaway
Absolutely stunning property!! Home was so spacious, clean, and had absolutely everything you need. Outdoor fire pit, grill, and other activities were provided. Communication and check in with host was so easy and convenient. Home was walking distance from town, which made the stay that much more enjoyable! We will definitely be coming back!!

Relaxing and Comfortable
This is an excellent property for multiple couples who may or may not have adult children as well. Often when you look for a 4+ bedroom property, the bedrooms are designed for a family with multiple children where some rooms have bunks. In this case, each room is an independent unit that a couple can enjoy privacy and also fun with their other friends in the home. The photos of the common areas do not do the house justice. The great room is connected directly to the dining area and kitchen. The kitchen and laundry area have commercial appliances is which honestly isn't necessary but makes it even more comfortable. The house does have air conditioning which did make a slight difference during our summer stay. The only thing I could even think of suggesting as an improvement would be to change the beds from Queen to King size beds (the rooms are more than big enough for these) however the mattresses on the existing beds are more than comfortable so this might be an upgrade far into the future. The location was perfect for our planned hikes and the flexibility of early check-in and late check-out allowed us to get three good day hikes within a two night stay! Our group all hope to return soon in the future!
