Two bedrooms include 4 twin beds, den or 3rd bedroom with sofa sleeper and sun room with futon. Outdoor recreation area for summer or winter. Enjoy wildlife and landscape photography. One mile to the PCT trail. Waterfall at McArthur Burney Falls Park is breathtaking. Snowmobile parks, sledding, downhill/cross country skiing offered at Mt. Shasta an hour an half drive. Those with the exploring spirit visit the Subway Caves located in Old Station. Fall River Mills boasts a golf course with beautiful mountain vistas. Mt. Lassen 1 hour journey well worth the trip. Not recommended for young children. Bluff and river behind house.

Awesome place!

Quiet and serene location. Very comfortable home for our group. Great proximity to Fall River for outdoor activities. House well equipped - great deck and BBQ over water. Excellent hosts!! We'll be back.

Boys fishing trip

Fantastic cabin overlooking Hat Creek. Weather was not cooperating so the wood burning stove was put to work. Fantastic vibe and picturesque views. Wildlife galore!!!

Gone fishing

We chose this property because of the access to Hat creek. Hat creek was just out the backdoor and down the steps. Wewere not disappointed. The house was clean and neat with enough room foe the 6 of us. We will do it again in the future.

Quiet and Nourishing

We loved our week at the Hat Creek House. It is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is very cooking friendly with good supplies We ate most meals in the sun deck. Perfect. The deck is a great place overlooking what we viewed as a bird sanctuary above and beyond Hat Creek We did see river otters once, and deer every day in the front yard. Caught two nice trout with minimal fishing. It was a heat wave while there, but the AC worked fine. Linda Bowers was beyond good as host. She even loaned us rubber rafts to float down the river one afternoon. We were there during a heat wavel

Hat Creek Paradise

This is the nicest VRBO we have ever stayed at. The beautiful house is large, very clean, and well decorated. The view of Hat Creek is outstanding, we saw a family of 5 river otters. Fishing is abundant.

Great Location for Fishing!

The pictures on VRBO did not show how lovely this house really was. It was extremely well stocked with a Safeway and Grocery Outlet in nearby Burney. We were able to fish right behind the house on Hat Creek with plenty of fish action along the creek never too far from the house. We will definitely book this house again and it was a real treat to be able to spend Father’s Day weekend there with my husband, two sons, daughter and three of my grandsons. The host were very responsive and it was nice knowing they were close by. Thank you David and Linda for your hospitality.

Perfect setting for fishing and wildlife

This was a perfect place to stay for our short (3 day fishing trip. The Hosts were very responsive to questions. And being able to takes the steps from the patio down to Hat Creek to fish was perfect. The house was well-equipped and so much wildlife (geese, ducks, wide variety of birds, river otters, muskrat.). Really perfect.

Trout Fisherman’s Paradise

Incredible view and location right on Hat Creek. Late October trip, home was pleasantly heated when we arrived. One of the most well appointed homes I have rented. Spices, etc in kitchen. Much thought and consideration in how the home is stocked with anything you might need. We could not have enjoyed our stay more and hated to leave. 5 stars.
