Perfect for discovering Rouen
As a 62-year old woman travelling alone but with two (!) very expensive e-bikes, security is a major consideration for me. This apartment is in a gated community with secured parking. I was able to store the bikes in the stairwell of the building (secured with chains and batteries removed, just in case). It takes about 12 minutes to walk to the bus stop (direct bus into town takes 1/4 hour to the cathedral) and about 10 minutes to walk to a big Leclerc. The cycle path along the Seine is about 5 minutes away. Mid-way through my 16-day stay, the host brought fresh bed linen and towels and took away the dirty stuff - a very nice touch. The host was very friendly and always available if needed but also took the time to introduce me to his utterly charming parents who live on site and whom I was told I could contact if ever I needed help urgently. The apartment was lovely and clean, modern, with a well equipped kitchen, very comfy bed, and small private garden, which was delightful. The communal pool had not yet opened for the season, so I cannot judge it. All in all, I felt very safe and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I recommend this accommodation without reservation.
