About this property

Fireside- Pet Friendly | Outdoor Living | Outdoor Fire Pit | Large Hot Tub

Tucked away in the woods, Fireside is a warm and inviting cabin – it's easy to keep the home fires burning in this cozy retreat. There's also plenty to do for a few friends seeking some fun in a peaceful, relaxing setting.

This yellow pine, true log home offers both a rustic yet stylish atmosphere, with upscale décor, leather sofas and contemporary furniture throughout. Yet floor-to-ceiling knotty pine, antlers and other nature-inspired accents invoke a casual, mountain lodge feel. Curl up by the wood-burning fireplace and feel right at home by the hearth.

After sleeping in, flip some pancakes and have breakfast at the beautiful dining table or eat-in kitchen island. Spend a leisurely morning outdoors, lounging on the handcrafted, rustic cypress wood furniture with a cup of hot tea and a good book.

When you're ready to get out and about, get your blood flowing with an energizing bike ride through the mountainside down to the river. There, anglers can go catch and release fishing, or those looking to keep the adventures in high gear might go whitewater rafting.

In the afternoon, have a late lunch back at Fireside on the picnic table under a canopy of trees ablaze with fall foliage. Their fiery leaves and crisp mountain air will inspire and invigorate you.

If you're looking to shop 'til you drop, downtown Blue Ridge is minutes away. It's a great opportunity to get a head start on holiday gifts in the boutiques and galleries – everything from baubles to rare antiques can be found here. Then have dinner in one of the charming restaurants lining the streets.

Back home, head to the spacious game room to play pool. Grab a drink from the bar and watch a game or movie on the huge flat screen TV, or even get caught up playing board games for hours of entertainment.

Guided easily by landscape lighting, head to the beautiful stone fire ring outside. Toast some marshmallows and make s'mores while having a fireside chat under the stars. Go for a late night dip in the hot tub – there in the quiet woods, you'll feel like you have the world to yourselves.

When you're ready for bed, two serene bedrooms are conveniently located on the main floor, with the twin bedroom downstairs. Snuggle up with your sweetie and warm up any chilly autumn night.

Head to this neck of the woods for a peaceful escape from life's hectic pace. If you're feeling burned out, spending some time at Fireside is just what you need to warm your spirits and reignite your spark.

Relaxing Ladies Trip
This is a beautiful cabin. We were impressed at how clean the place was. Also we don't often find a fully stocked kitchen in a rental to make a good meal. It is a perfect location too. You feel far away but you are 5-10 min from blue ridge downtown and Mercier orchards. We made good use of the screened in porch. We highly recommend this place. One note, if you have lots of people or kids running around, the sound does travel through the cabin.

Beds suck
Location, perfect, cabin- near perfect. Cleanliness- perfect. The beds….. I don’t think they could be any worse. We only stayed one of our two nights cause we couldn’t sleep, and decided to just pack up and leave late that second night. We tried all of the beds too, they’re all the same awful, super thin- no pillow top- straight springs mattresses . I honestly don’t know why they would put the cheapest mattresses possible in a cabin people are paying $1100 for two nights for. Also, the kurig machine is all kinds of messed up and takes like 20 mins per cup of coffee lol. Besides those two things, it was wonderful! But seriously think twice about whether or not you can sleep on springs poking into you.

Beautiful cabin
We really enjoyed the outdoor screened porch area the most. We loved the outdoor fireplace and spent most of our stay relaxing by the fire. There is a really nice daybed on the porch. Kitchen is pretty well stocked and the game room downstairs is really nice with a nice selection of games. I would stay here again. Property is easy to find with the directions provided and there is a Walmart and grocery store about a 5-10 min drive from the cabin.

Awesome Fireplace on Screened Porch
We loved relaxing in front on the porch fireplace. We would have spent more time playing pool, but the lighting was terrible above the pool table and the stairway leading to it. This was our only two issues. We definitely will return if the lighting is updated.

Lovely and cozy
This property was great for a girl's weekend in the mountains. The porch fireplace was really neat and the hot tub was clean and large enough for six of us. The location feels remote and quiet, but is just a few minutes away from everything. There is a cow pasture that makes for a lovely walk down old quarry road nearby. The beds could have been more comfortable, but they were adequate for three nights. The bathrooms were clean and well-stocked with towels and toiletries. The large eating area was perfect for a gathering and the kitchen was stocked with all the necessary items. When the hot tub failed to heat up on the first day (it simply needed to be reset at the breaker, which we eventually tried on our own), someone from the property management company was at the property within minutes and had scheduled a tech for the next day. Great level of responsiveness. It was a wonderful stay and we'll be back!

Fireside review
Cabin was very clean and very easy to locate. It is quiet location but still close to Blue Ridge. The screened porch was an added bonus. Word of warning. When packing your car to leave prop the front door open. The electronic lock changes supposedly at 10. It changed on us at 9:44. We were locked outside with in 40 degree weather with no phones or coats.

Fabulous cabin getaway!
This cabin is a beautiful spot to have a family getaway! Communication was great and instructions and directions were perfect, allowing us an easy drive up from Florida and a seamless check in process. Clean, well kept property. Everything was ready for us when we arrived and we loved the personal touches with the binder explaining everything we needed to know about the cabin and the Blue Ridge area. Loved the fire pit area and the downstairs family game room. We enjoyed our evenings with s’mores and pool games. Location of the cabin is convenient to getting to the downtown Blue Ridge area. Definitely would recommend this cabin for family vacations and couples looking for a romantic getaway!!

Great family getaway
The property is great. Even better than the description and the pictures. We had a wonderful family time, 4 adults and two young teens. The screened porch is where we all "lived". There's only one thing that I would like in a different property. From this property, it is necessary to drive to go anywhere you want - you cannot walk to a lake, creek or hiking trail. It is near the town of Blue Ridge and to Lake Blue Ridge, so the drive is not far but it is not walkable.
