The house has 2 bedrooms with 1 shower room and 1 bathroom, the living room is spacious and the kitchen well equipped.
It has a small private terrace and a quiet communal courtyard.
Utah Beach is 6 km, Sainte-Mère-Eglise and Carentan 10 km.
Sainte-Marie-du-Mont is ideally located for visits to Mont-Saint-Michel (1 hour), the American cemetery (30 minutes), the beaches of Omaha Beach, Juno and Pointe du Hoc.
A deposit of 300 euros (not cashed) is to be given directly on site for the delivery of the keys.

Sehr sehenswert und erholsa
Wir haben 14 sehr schöne Tage in einem behutsam renovierten Haus ( nur etwas hellhörig )mit geschmackvoller Einrichtung verbracht. Es gibt sogar noch einen großen Raum unter dem Dachboden, der in der Beschreibung nicht aufgeführt ist. Dort steht auch eine bequeme Couch, ein Gästebett und ein Smart-TV, alles sehr gemütlich. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und wir bekamen sogar selbst gebackenen Kuchen von Anne-Marie. Es war frischer Käse, frische Butter und 1 Flasche Cidre im Kühlschrank bei unserer Ankunft. Anne-Marie hat viele Ausflugstipps und Empfehlungen für den Aufenthalt, was sehr nützlich ist. Wir waren mit unserem 17- jährigen Sohn dort und er hat sich keinen Tag gelangweilt. Man kann sehr viel unternehmen, vor allem wenn man geschichtlich interessiert ist ( rund um den D- Day) gibt es viel zu sehen. In dem kleinen Ort kann man sich mit Lebensmitteln versorgen. Bäckerei, Metzgerei und ein kleines Lädchen , wo man u .a. auch Obst und Gemüse kaufen kann sind super fußläufig zu erreichen. Donnerstags ist ganztägig Markt mit regionalem Obst, Gemüse, Fisch und Käse. Frische Muscheln vom Utah Beach werden 2 Mal tgl. an 2 Stellen im Ort verkauft. Es gibt 2 Restaurants in der Ortsmitte, wo man gut essen kann, aber man sollte vorher reservieren zumindest abends auch für draußen. Gerade verkauft der örtl. Metzger sonntags frisch gegrillte Hähnchen am Spieß, die man auch vorbestellen sollte. Supermärkte gibt es auch genug in den Nachbarstädchen, dort kann man auch relativ günstig tanken ( günstiger als direkt an der Autobahn). Der Strand - Utah Beach- ist mit dem Auto in ca. 7 Minuten erreichbar. Die Strände entlang der Küste laden zum Baden und Spazieren ein. Sehr empfehlenswert.

We stayed for two weeks to attend the 78th D Day Anniversary. We have been to Normandy for 3 other anniversaries. Anne-Marie met us at the gite and she was delightful. She gave us thorough information and has a detailed help book in the house with everything you could ever think of. We needed some extra pillows and linens and she was there within a few hours. Every time I reached out to her with questions, she answered within minutes. The bathrooms are lovely and the bedrooms, very cozy. we were so close to the butcher, baker and little market. In fact, the butcher, Willie, supplied us with most of our meals (precooked). We had roasted chicken with potatoes, grilled pork, delicious tarts all cooked by Willie. We only ate out once in the town which was a great restaurant too. We were also greeted with a few goodies in the refrigerator and a home made pound cake. Thank you Anne Marie for a wonderful vacation home! Oh, and we enjoyed their finished attic level. Vickie and Mark

zeer mooie en comfortabel vakantiehuis in het hartje van Sainte-Marie-Du-Mont vlak vij Utah beach
Mooi compleet ingericht vakantiehuis met een grote keuken, knusse woonkamer en twee ruime slaapkamers met twee prachtige badkamers. Zeker een aanrader om heen te gaan. Vriendelijke, behulpzame en gastvrije gastvrouw die je alles kan vertellen over de omgeving. Wij hebben genoten.

Charming, updated property in great location to see the Normandy landing beaches
We spent 8 nights here in October 2019 and absolutely loved the property. The home is newly renovated, has a large & modern kitchen, two large bathrooms and is located in the town of St. Marie du Mont. It was an easy, quick drive to get to Utah Beach, St. Mere-Eglise and only a 25 minute drive to get to the Omaha Beach area. We also appreciated the laundry, the nice back patio and the willingness of the owner to help us out with any questions or issues. We would highly recommend to a couple or small family wanting to stay in a quaint Normandy town.

Herzlicher Empfang und persönliches Umsorgen der Gäste während unseres Aufenthaltes. Mit viel Geschmack eingerichteter Gîte. Sehr zentral gelegen, um die diversen historischen Stätten und Museen zu besuchen. Sehr empfehlenswert! Accueil chaleureux et soins très personels pendant notre séjour. Gîte meublé avec beaucoup de goût. Situé au centre de la région pour visiter les sites historiques et ses musées. Fortement recommandé.
