Chalet Hoo is the perfect ski in/ski out house for your family vacation! Bright and airy, freshly upgraded 4 bedroom/3 bathroom stand-alone house in a private, wooded setting that borders Killington’s Great Eastern Trail!

*Big yard with 90 foot zipline, ninja line, treehouse, picnic table, and campfire seating

*Private outdoor 6-person hot tub

*Ski equipment room with commercial grade 6-pair boot dryer

Chalet Hoo has deeded access to Killington’s Great Eastern Trail, the best green circle (beginner) trail on the mountain. The property is ski in/ski out when the Skyeship Gondola is running. This usually happens from late December through March. Even when the Skyeship is not operating, if snow conditions are decent on the Great Eastern, you can ski home. When there is no snow on the Great Eastern, nearby Bear Mountain is the closest base lodge (a two minute drive).

Absolutely no smoking on the property, inside the house or outside on the grounds.

Amazingly helpful

The house was great — just what we needed, but the real star of the show was the hosts. They were so incredibly responsive and helpful for us when issues (not house issues) arose. It felt like we had someone looking out for us and that gave me real peace of mind.

Great family and friend getaway at Challet Hoo!

All seven of us had a great time in Vermont and at Challet Hoo. The house was very comfortable and easily fit the group. The kids loved the bubble hockey and ninja course. Thank you for a great stay!

Excellent Place

Beautiful house in a nice spot on the mountain. Short walk out to back yard to the green run (Great Eastern) that goes down to the Skyeship gondola. Really nice equipment room to store boots, skis, etc. Hot tub and sauna were both working and clean. The whole house was clean. We had a great time. Would recommend.

Wonderful Ski On Ski Off Killington House

We loved our stay at ChaletHoo - the house was extremely clean with lots of details to make it very welcoming and warm. The location was great - it was so convenient to be able to walk onto the slope - especially nice to be able to come back to the house for lunch. The house had everything we needed. It had big windows in the living room to let in lots of natural light. It was a special treat to wake up to the sunrise from the master bedroom. We hope to come back for another visit next year!!

Chalet Hoo is a Gem

We traveled to Chalet Hoo with our three kids who each brought a friend. The layout of the house was perfect. The house is laid out so nicely to allow for relaxing in front of the tv while others may be playing games at the sectional behind that. The first floor additional living space and bubble hockey is awesome. The less than five minute walk to ski down the mountain was so nice. Hot tub and sauna were enjoyed. The kitchen is organized so nicely - lots of labels to find things easily. Super clean and comfortable. It’s such a great house and the owners were wonderful to work with. You will love it here!

Fabulous ski on ski off!

We stayed over February vacation - my husband and 4 kids. The location was spectacular - easy ski on ski off. The house was spacious with a updated decor! The kids loved the hot tub on the deck!

Excellent Place for Small Gateaway

We were very pleased with the owner. They were very responsive and helpful. We enjoy our stay. The house was very accommodating. Only one thing I will ask owner, is to install exhaust fan in kitchen for cooking-gas.

LOVED our first trip to Killington!

This house was perfect for our group of 12- the ski in/ski out feature and the hot tub were the most wonderful perks... in addition seating for 2 living rooms, the amount of natural light on the top floor throughout the kitchen and dining areas, and the gas fireplaces throughout. Oh and the heated mud room/boot heaters was an incredibly nice touch as well. Just a note that the play room does not have a door to enclose it as a room (hard to tell from the pictures) and the downstairs bathroom wasn't as plentiful with hot water as the upstairs bathrooms were. Other than that our stay was 100% perfect and we will absolutely be back to visit!

Great location

The location of the property is perfect! Just a short walk (1 min) to Great Eastern on the path to the house. Easy way to end the day. Lots of room to hang out with family. We enjoyed our stay.

Perfect family or group spot

We brought our blended family and our kids’ friends along for this trip and it was one of the best times vacationing much because of the house we chose. The house had plenty of room for the kids to spread out and hang and a large gathering area to connect. Having the ski room made organization of snow related gear so easy. Door to the trail from the ski room was a treat for the kids. It was liberating for them to hit the slopes from the house. Owners were attentive and responsive too. We are booking again for next year!

Fantastic ski weekend

We stayed at chalet hoo this past weekend for our annual ski trip and had a wonderful time! The proximity to the mountain (ski on ski off) was a huge plus as it allowed us to come and go as we pleased. The accommodations were spectacular. With a large group of 14, we all had a comfortable place to sleep without feeling like we were on top of each other. One of the evenings we were there we decided to cook. Thanks to the assortment of pots, pans, and utensils provided, we were able to do so. The house was kept very clean and neat. The new couches in the living provided a comfortable area to relax in after a long day of skiing. We were able to sit back, relax, and watch Netflix, football etc. the Sauna in the downstairs bathroom was a huge plus. Lauren and Wes were great hosts. They were prompt in their communication with us and made check in and check out very easy. One person in our party left something behind but we were able to go back and grab it even after check out which was very much appreciated. I would highly recommended staying at chalet hoo for your next ski trip. I know that we will be looking to stay again next year!

Our family loves skiing in the winter and mountain biking and hiking in the summer. Killington has so much to offer if you love the outdoors as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

We couldn't pass up the chance to buy a house with deeded access to Killington's best beginner trail, The Great Eastern. After years of skiing by these fantastic houses on our way to the Skyeship, we knew this was the place to be.

What makes this property unique

We've been working hard to update what was already a great house. In addition to the ski access during the winter, we've added a new deck with a private hot tub, put in a mudroom, and renovated the master bathroom. We've added a lot of fun stuff to the yard--zip line, ninja line, tree house, etc. Over the years we've rented a lot of vacation houses, so we think we know the big things (hot tub, multiple living room spaces, bunk rooms) and the little things (Sonos, good WiFi, quiet bedrooms, bubble hockey) that make a really comfortable and fun home-away-from-home.
