Very nicely furnished, comfortable and everything we could need for our stay. Close to restaurants and across street from the lake and wonderful views. Recommend!
The cottage was wonderfully equipped, appointed, and located. Enjoyed grilling on the deck, making campfires, or just getting cozy on the couch after a full day of paddling, or mountain biking.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage was very clean and decorated so nicely. The owners were wonderful about communicating with us. We were an hour from the beach and very close to hiking trails.
We stayed here as part of family get together. The cottage is clean and comfortable. The driftwood bar and grill across the street can be a bit noisy on summer weekends, not the fault of the owner. Lovely deck out front. Be sure to read the check out cleaning procedures in advance.
The house was clean, the location is excellent, and Bob did a great job communicating. I stayed at this house with some friends and spent each day mountain biking the Dragon trail. All of us were happy with our stay and would definitely come back again!
Charming Cottage with plenty of room for 2 friends. A convenient place for 2 Fishermen to stay with access to numerous Muskegon River boat ramps, and to a number of restaurants in nearby Newaygo. Our second stay, and the host, Robert could not be more accommodating. Thanks again for great stay.
This year our getaway took us to Newaygo/Croton area. We rented this cottage because it was near the Newaygo State Park. The cottage was very nice and exceeded our expectations. Plenty of room. Kitchen stocked very well
Close to a small grocery store, tavern and a coulpe restaurants. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing you place.
Very happy with this rental. Booked a week for a fishing trip with friends, and was very satisfied. The property does not have it's own dock (is across the street from the lake), but the owner gave us the use of his dock which was just down the street. Cabin is very well taken care of and clean. Bed are comfortable, living space is sufficient for at least 4-6 adults to hang out comfortably, and deck makes for some interesting people watching at the bar across the street. There is live music on the weekends at the bar, but even with the loud music outside, inside was plenty quiet.
Great spot for 2 fishing buddies to hang out while we were on our semi-annual fishing excursion to the Newaygo area. Well equipped with just about everything you could need. We'll consider it again in 2023.
I would highly recommend this beautiful cottage. Amazing location, if you love fishing or boating. The owners are super nice and reply to your requests or questions in a timely manner. The one down side is the phone and internet service, it's not the greatest but you are there to relax not to lose yourself in social media.
This cottage was well-supplied and comfortable for my family of four. It's across the street from the lake, and close enough to many outdoor recreation opportunities (lake, river, forest hiking trails). Wifi was provided, but was slow and unreliable. There is a bar across the street that sometimes had live music, and at those times was loud. Owner demands that guests wash and fold bed linens on checkout day.
We stayed here before and it was perfect again. Very clean, comfortable and close to our family.
Only concern is that Soffit lights outside come on at 10:15 at night. They shine in the bedroom. You can turn them off, but they reset each day.
The house was great for our family of 5. Very clean and comfortable! Lots of supplies in the kitchen and plenty of bath towels. The location is right across from the Driftwood Bar. We never heard noises from the bar (although the neighbors did show movies on Friday and Saturday nights that were a bit loud). Busy at the bar on the weekend with cars parked out front. The location was easily accessible to the lake, grocery store, and ice cream.
We really enjoyed the house! Be aware that they want you to wash all towels and sheets before leaving, so it’s hard to get out early.
The owners were very responsive and great to work with!
I rented this 3 bedroom thinking some of my kids would stay the weekend. None of them could in the end. Although I had company for dinner most nights I was alone after that. My Dad died last Oct and we because of famiiy issues couldn't do the memorial until this Oct. My son also recently died in July and the time alone was good for me.
House was nice but too many stairs for older adults. Stairs were steeper than normal and NO handrail on steps to upper bedroom. The worst was being REQUIRED to launder bed linens and towels we used. Never had to do that before and I hope this isn't a trend.
This cottage has it all. Super comfortable and roomy for our family of 4. The boys had their own rooms and lots of space. The master bedroom had a very comfortable bed and pillows. The pantry was well stocked with seasonings for cooking and more. The kitchen had many appliances and amenities. Plus coffee makers with sugar and creamer. It was such a great stay. The town itself is so friendly. We enjoyed a night at The driftwood bar across the street, ice cream at The Jetty and delicious pizza at the Croton Bait shop. The bikes were used to travel around and explore the area as well. The beach area is about a 5 min walk but not too bad and it has plenty of parking if you have a lot of stuff. Robert and Pam were super kind and friendly. This was our first time using VRBO and it was an amazing experience. Plus we loved having a washer and dryer available to wash up all our laundry before heading home. Thanks for some great family time and memories.
This was our second time staying at this property and it didn't disappoint. The location is perfect, the house is cozy and fully equipped with everything you need. The owners are extremely accommodating and make the whole process seamless. This is now our "go to" home when we're in town visiting family! We'll definitely be back.
