Sleeps 5 - Two comfortable bedrooms, one kingsize and one single and bunk beds. Ideal for families. Spacious open plan living area includes log burner (logs not included), leather sofas, large TV and DVD player. Wifi available. Dining area which seats 5. High quality, well equipped kitchen includes gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, washer dryer and fridge with freezer box. Bathroom with a large shower cubicle and thermostatic mixer shower. Oil-fired central heating and hot water throughout with the bonus of the log burner for extra warmth in the winter months. Logs & kindling are not included, can be purchased from garage in Glencoe.

The Scottish Highlands and West Coast of Scotland is an area of outstanding beauty offering something for everyone. There is a huge range of outdoor activities on offer from forest walks, cycling, fishing, horse riding, golf to sea kayaking, diving, skiing, white water rafting and mountain climbing. It also offers great history and mythology. Visit Loch Ness, climb Ben Nevis, walk along unspoilt beaches with crystal clear waters, wonder at Glencoe, eat fish and chips in Oban, sail to remote islands, marvel at outstanding wildlife, ride on the Hogwarts Express or simply relax and take in the amazing atmosphere the mountains and lochs provide.

Duror, Appin. Is the ideal location to explore all the Scottish Highlands has to offer. Fort William and Oban are both approximately 40 mins drive away. 5 minutes drive to family friendly bar/restaurant on the edge of Loch Linnhe. 15 minutes to well stocked supermarket in Ballachulish. There are several coffee and craft shops. Cycling, Fishing, Golf, Watersports, Diving, Horse riding and Skiing are all on offer within a 20 minute drive. 10 minutes walk will take you to the beautiful Cuil Bay.

absolut empfehlenswert!
Sehr schönes Haus mit tollem Ausblick nach hinten heraus. Sehr sauber, alles da, was man braucht, schöner (eingezäunter) Garten für Mensch und Hund und das Ganze in wunderschöner Umgebung. Vielen Ausflugsmöglichkeit in der Umgebung, aber auch viel Ruhe zum Entspannen. Bequemer Checking und Check-out dank Schlüsseltresor. Wir haben uns rundherum wohlgefühlt und kommen wieder! Danke!

Another wonderful stay in a clean, comfortable & well-equipped cottage in an ideal location. Halfway between two parkruns, easy access to the Caledonia Way & a short drive to the Nevis Range. Just what we wanted. Hope to return again soon.

Nice cottage with wonderful view
Very nice and modern cottage. Especially the large kitchen and living room were very comfy, and the view from the garden to the mountain just behind was wonderful. The location was ideal for visting Glen Coe. It takes you about 20 min to the three sisters car park. To Oban it takes approx 45min. If you are sensitive to noises please be aware that the cottage is located at the main road to Oban. All in all we really enjoyed our time at Ben View!

Zeer ruime en nette woning met fantastisch uitzicht, ideaal gelegen om uitstappen en hikings te doen. Heel fijn dat er een kachel is, na de regen en kou deed dit deugd. Prachtige omgeving. We zagen zelfs herten vlakbij in het wild!

Cozy cottage
We stayed in this cozy house for a week, two adults and three children. It was clean and tidy and nicely furnished. Bed linen, towels - everything was provided. We wanted for nothing. The kitchen is fully equipped and it was fun to cook on the gas stove. What we couldn't see from the advertisement is that it is a semi-detached house. We have three boys and therefore prefer to book detached houses so that we don't disturb any neighbors. The location is ok, but it's not much fun to walk along the road, the cars speed past you, so we only walked directly in the area once. Otherwise, we drove about 30 minutes by car to the surrounding area every day. Then you can reach Ben Navis, the beautiful Glen Coe valley and much more. The key handover was uncomplicated with the key safe, otherwise we had no contact with the landlady. All in all, we really enjoyed our stopover at the cottage.

Lovely property and great location. Visiting the Scottish Highlands was on my husbands bucket list. It didnt disappoint. The settees in the property were extremely low but we had lots of laughs trying to get up off them. Great break away

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in Schottland und im Ben View Cottage. Es ging viel zu schnell vorbei. Die Anbindung des Hauses ist gut, man hat alles in der Umgebung. Landschaftlich kann man sowohl die Highlands (Glencoe) und die Küste rund um Oban entdecken.

Schönes Haus mit kleinen Nachteilen
Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt. Allerdings gibt es zwei Punkte die erwähnt gehören. Die direkt am Haus liegende Straße die doch sehr viel befahren ist, auch in der Nacht sehr zu hören. Die Wohnlandschaft ist sehr alt und durchgesessen. Mit Rückenproblemen ist ein hochkommen fast nicht möglich. Ansonsten zentral gelegen, alles vorhanden was man so braucht.

La maison est spacieuse et très fonctionnelle , on s’y sent très bien. Le jardin a une vue magnifique et était un vrai plus pour les enfants qui allaient y jouer dès le matin. Le logement est à proximité de nombreuses randonnées. Nous sommes restés là 4 nuits et avons rayonné autour pour éviter les changements quotidiens avec les enfants, et c’était parfait. Nous recommandons à 100%.

Wonderful little cottage.
This is out 4th visit to the cottage over a period of 3 years. It's in an amazing location with fantastic views to the rear of the cottage. While the cottage was spotlessly clean, it is starting to look a little bit tired. Main bed and pillows all need replacing as does the sofas in the main room. Plus the shower door has been dodgy all the years we've been going. The back garden needs some attention, it's starting to block the fantastic views. That said, it's still a wonderful place, don't let this put you off. Also, We use between 6-12 holiday cottages around the country each year, this is the only one so far that doesn't provide a welcome pack. After a 9 hour drive, it would be nice to at least get a brew before having to shop for milk etc. Wonderful place though, dispite it's quirks.

We really enjoyed our time at the Ben View. It was very close to everything we needed and had plenty of room to spread out. Wonderful bed and bedding, warm, clean, and cozy. A perfect stay. Highly recommend.

Spacious Cottage in Rural Setting.
We had a wonderful two nights at the cottage. Much bigger than we expected and the cottage was clean and comfortable. During the breaks in the rain, amazing views of the nearby hills from the main bedroom and Kitchen. Great location, only 30 mins from Fort William. Communication with the host was very efficient and she provided us with all the information we required. Great spot to base yourself for any visit to the highlands of Scotland.

schönes Ferienhaus für Familien mit Hund
Unseren Aufenhalt von 2 Wochen in Duror haben wir sehr genossen. Vor Ort ist nicht viel zu tun. Das war uns aber klar. Aber es gibt eine schöne 40min-Morgenrunde mit dem Hund über den parallel zur Strasse laufenden Radweg. Diesem Radweg kann man auch sonst noch weiter folgen und kommt so problemlos zu Fuß zur Cuil-Bay (schöner Strand und Sonnenuntergang) oder in die andere Richtung zum Wasser. Die Lage bietet es an sich sternförmig Richtung Oban/Clen Coe/Fort William zu orientieren. So kann man mit vertretbarem Fahraufwand viele schöne Ecken in dieser Region erkunden. Für Sky hatten wir allerdings eine Zwischenübernachtung organisiert. Das war uns für eine Tagestour zu weit. Unser Hund konnte in den umzäunten Garten. Das Haus liegt direkt an der Straße. Man hört deshalb die Autos. Aber selbst in der Hauptsaison war das nicht problematisch. So viel Verkehr war es nicht. Im Haus ist alles was man so braucht vorhanden. Z.T. schon etwas gebraucht und klapprig (Wäscheständer z.B.), aber alles in allem ok. Einzig, dass wir nur in ein bezahlpflichtiges WLAN gekommen wären, hat die Laune erstmal getrübt. Aber dann haben wir den positiven Effekt des nicht ständig am Handy hängend sehr gut gefunden, weil wir dann sehr sparsam mit unseren mobilen Daten sein mussten. Handtücher, Bettlaken und Putzmittel waren reichlich vorhanden. Eine lokale Ansprechpartnerin hat auch mal nachgefragt und Küchenrolle und Toilettenpapier nachgeliefert. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
