We were in for a wedding that was at the Botanical Gardens and this location could not have been more perfect. We walked to City Park, we’re minutes from the quarter and just so centrally located. Loved it.
Stayed with 5 other adults. Plenty of room. All beds at least queen size. 3 bathrooms were very helpful. Clean property, safe location. And only three houses from a Winn Dixie. We were able to walk there every norning for brekfast supplies. We stayed for Mardi Gras and it was only a short trolley ride or lyft to everywhere.
My friends and I got scammed by a hotel and had to find a place to stay within a week of going to New Orleans for the Eras Tour. Luckily we found this gem of a house! It was everything we had hoped for, with enough rooms and beds for almost all of us to have our own and not have to share rooms Plenty of bathrooms and a full kitchen with wash/dryer!! The location was also great - we would've liked to stay within walking distance from the French quarter but that was not in the cards. But this place was practically right by a streetcar stop so it honestly made things a lot easier for us!! The Winner Dixie next door came in handy and there are some lovely restaurants in the area as well that are walkable! My friends were able to check in early as they arrived earlier in the day and that was super helpful. We appreciated this place and definitely recommend it!!
Great location, great accommodations, Great communication from Host
This is a girls trip of women in their late 60s celebrating friendship since high school. Three of the 5 of us were escaping Florida ahead of hurricane Helene. Communication with the host prior to our visit was excellent as we weren’t sure we were going to make the trip due to the storm. Beds were all very comfortable and we had plenty of community space to spend time together yet we each had our own bedroom. We found out on our last day where the trolley/street car pick up was just a block or two away. We had Uber everywhere else prior to that, but didn’t have to Uber to the grocery store because it was just across the street which made it nice to gather up our rations food and beverages for the weekend. We definitely would return to this location and VRBO. We found the people in New Orleans , very friendly and welcoming
We had a great stay at this property. The property manager was there to greet us when we arrived and made sure everything was good before he left. The front porch and back porch were nice gathering areas. The place was clean, the appliances and A/C all worked fine, and everything matched the description. The downstairs layout is shotgun style, which is not my preference, but is pretty clear from the pictures. As advertised, plenty of room for 10 people. We never had a problem with parking, and the location was convenient with grocery stores, coffee shops, and restaurants all within walking distance. Would definitely stay there again.
The property is in a great location. Winn Dixie is right next door along with anything else you could need. The house has been renovated beautifully. It has all new bathrooms and appliances, but they left the original wood floors, Kitchen wall coverings and wood trim so it is modern but still gives a truly Historic New Orleans feel. Wonderful back patio to enjoy the great weather. Uber to downtown or trolly both really easy.
We had a great week in New Orleans here with extended family. The house is exactly as described in the listing, and seems well maintained. The back deck is private and secure. The heart of City Park takes less than 15 minutes to walk, even with little ones. Several adults our group easily got around the city car-less using the BlueBikes and streetcar, both of which are steps away.
