The Eagle’s Nest - Welcome to the quiet and peaceful heart of Northern Idaho.

Nestled atop the rim of the Kootenai River in the heart of mountainous northern Idaho you will find the private and peaceful Eagle’s Nest. Whether you choose to spend the morning relaxing in the luxurious bath, enjoying the spectacular view, spotting bald eagles, or you choose to relax on the deck with a good book, a cup of coffee, and the buzz of hummingbirds, you are guaranteed to soak up relaxation during your stay.

Adventure - The Eagle’s Nest is the right spot for you if adventure is the name of your game! Coordinate your day’s activities from the comfort of the Nest. Choose from; golfing, fishing, hunting, canoeing, skiing, biking, hiking, walking, scenic drives, and more. Just minutes away from golfing in Bonners Ferry. If you get up early enough the local moose will likely be joining you in your morning endeavors and eying your hole in one! If gambling is more of your game, then you are minutes away from a night at the Casino. And, if you are the rugged outdoor type and enjoy hunting and fishing you’ve definitely come to the right place. With many lakes to choose from for great trout and bass fishing. And with miles of mountainous regions offering elk, deer, moose, bear, turkey, and even cougar hunting you are sure to find your adventure highlights during this year’s vacation at the Nest!

Work it Remotely - True confessions, you know you are out there. It's your vacation, but you just have to check in with work, get your e-mail, or get on the Internet. We are remote and it is not fast (10 Mbps) but have no fear, the Eagle’s Nest offers satellite dish remote wireless Internet access – for free! Just bring your own laptop and get connected. Please note: Speeds do not support video streaming.

Accommodations - The Eagle’s Nest sleeps four to six people comfortably. One Master bedroom suite with Queen size log bed and private full bathroom with master bath and separate shower. One Guest bedroom with Double size log bed and private full bathroom. A Great Room with Queen size pullout sofa bed and access to your own small bathroom with toilet and shower off of the kitchen. Large open kitchen with granite counter tops and double islands with many cooking supplies. Large dining area with table and chairs for sitting six comfortably. Large deck and relaxing backyard with barbecue. Flat screen TV. Dish Network. Phone. Wireless Internet. One car garage.

Priced Just Right - Reasonably priced at $165 per night with additional VRBO processing fees for online booking. Phone charges will be billed separately after your stay. Linens and towels are included. Housekeeping services are not available.

Exceptional quality

We have rented many houses all over the world, but Annie’s home at Moyie Springs has taken out the Gold Medal for the best house in presentation and location. From the beds to the bathrooms, cutlery to the crockery, pots and pans to parking, Annie’s home is a gem. The view and location are both superb. We loved the trains quietly rolling along the winding Kootenai River far below us. Thanks Annie. Eagle's Nest is a magic place.

Exactly as described. Fantastic!

I almost booked this last year... that was a year i really missed out! This is one of the nicest views you'll ever find! The house is clean and beautiful inside! The decorative interior is so nicely done! I highly recommend if you're visiting Sandpoint, take a day and get a reservation here. The views WILL NOT disappoint!

Beautiful Home

The Eagle’s Nest has all the comforts of home and then some. The house is well maintained and the views are gorgeous. During our visit, we reached out to Anne (the property owner) and requested to extend our stay. Anne responded immediately to our request and we were fortunate to enjoy another day in this beautiful home. We will definitely be back.

Relaxation with a wonderful view

We thoroughly enjoyed our five-day stay in this clean, roomy, well-stocked, nicely-furnished home that has a spectacular view. We spent many hours outside on the comfy deck furniture taking in the view and enjoying seeing deer, turkeys, and various other birds as well as listening to the trains. Very, very nice!!

Eagle’s Nest

This is one of our favorite VRBO stays. The scenery is amazing. The home is fully furnished with everything needed for a great stay. We had to spend a lot of time inside because of the wildfires in Canada and Washington this property allowed us to do that and enjoy our time with lots of tranquility and peace.

Definitely Pleased

Upon our arrival the welcome committee (Family of Deer) met us in the front yard. They were enjoying a peaceful relaxing afternoon from their meal of apples & pears. To our knowledge they visited at least 4 more times during the week. The house is a perfect get away for tranquility and amazing views from the deck. We absolutely loved the interior with all the beautiful wood details. Plenty of room for our group of 6 with sleeping areas and 3 full bathrooms. The kitchen was stocked with all the eating and cooking dishes and utensils needed for meals at the house. Also plenty of attractions to see within the area, or little driving. Wonderful property

We really enjoyed out week-long stay in this beautiful property. The view is incredible - we could see tree-covered mountain ranges for dozens of miles as well as the Kootenai River down in the valley below us. Large rooms, comfortable furniture, excellent back deck for watching the sunset, hummingbirds, etc.. Very clean. Convenient and large garage. The kitchen had everything we could imagine wanting to use for cooking. Responsive local manager. Wonderful and well-maintained landscaping. Definitely a winner of a property!

We were so happy with this property! The views are absolutely beautiful! The house is clean, comfortable, and cozy. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could ever need in terms of appliances, cookware, and utensils. The deck has a lot of comfortable rocking chairs to enjoy the view. There’s a large lawn to play lawn games with the kids.

The Eagles Nest is a very peaceful place to stay. It's always our 1st choice when visiting the areaa

Anne is a great host, and we count ourselves very lucky when The Eagles Nest is available. The views from the back deck are amazing, no matter the season! The place is always clean, rooms are very comfortable, and the kitchen has many essentials and utensils to make cooking a breeze.

One of my favorite vrbo properties!

I can't say how much I love this home! This was our 4th stay at this property. The homeowner is sooooo accommodating! She let us check in early for our friends Thanksgiving! She know has 2 awesome sofa sleepers in the living room that are super comfortable. The nicest kitchen to cook in and a very large dining room table to accommodate large parties. The view is awesome!! We had such a great time thank you so much Anne for letting us stay again. My friends decided we will make this a new tradition. Just wanted to let you know the Keurig is not functioning but there was a back up coffee pot to accommodate so it wasn't a big deal. Awesome weekend at a phenomenal property!

Exceeded Expectations

Our family spent a week in "The Eagle's Nest" in August. The home is every bit of what the pictures show. The best way to describe the property is that it feels like the home is lived in by a family who really cares about the place, and they have just turned the "keys" over to you for a stay. The deck and chairs were one of our favorite spots. We observed an abundance of wildlife (adult deer, 2 baby fawns, couple dozen turkeys, raccoons, many small birds, etc.), I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a super clean and fully furnished place to relax.

You will find a meditation bench on the Kootenai Rim in the backyard of the Eagle’s Nest and this is where they sat together and decide that this was indeed the best location to build their retirement home. Come and enjoy peace and beauty nestled atop the rim of the Kootenai River.
