A Lovely Time in the woods

I am a stained glass worker and enthuiast, so loved all the beautiful lamps in every main room. Also the furniture was super comfortable and well arranged. Walking in the house, i just felt at home. The beds were wonderful and those quilts were beautiful and were color matched to the stained glass lamps. Gazebo was nice but we didn't use due to weather. Kitchen was also nicely stocked. Very pleasant place to stay.

Clean and comfy

We stayed for a week in this perfect location surrounded by Fall trees. It was a perfect home base for hiking, kayaking and exploring this lovely area. The kitchen with full size appliances made it easy to cook as a family. The dining table was perfect for all the board games available. So many movies available to watch but for some reason The Cider House Rules was not one of them. Bedrooms and bathrooms were nicely located in this quiet setting. Thank you for sharing this wonderful space. Also, June was a great communicator-a phone call or text away.

Outstanding, Quaint Cottage

Goose Cove Cottage is a beautifully decorated, welcoming, well-maintained property. Tucked into the woods, private location close to Bar Harbor and Acadia State Park. Based on price, location and amenities, the cottage is well worth the investment. Can't say enough to describe what a wonderful place it is to stay.

Beautiful home, great location. Quality accommodations.

We had 6 adult women staying at the house. We were exploring Acadia National Park and shopping and food in Bar Harbor and the area. The location is central to getting around to the park, including the "quiet side". Ellsworth is near by for all other needs.

Acadia getaway

Very comfortable, clean and inviting. Kitchen well equipped and bathing toiletries provided. Do recommend some branch clearing around driveway as can be difficult to find. Also reflective numbers on mailbox to assist at night.

Perfect Cottage outside Bar Harbor

Everything was perfect about this cottage. It was Spacious, clean, well stocked. The location was close enough to drive easily to all of our desired attractions, yet felt remote and very private. The gazebo was perfect for family games. The TV and movies selection was amazing and perfect for rainy days. Kitchen was very well stocked. Internet and Wi-Fi was excellent. Host texted us to see if we needed anything or had any issues. Communication prior to check-in was excellent. Could not have asked for anything more. One of the best aspects of our family trip to Bar Harbor.

Wonderful place to stay

The house is lovely and my family enjoyed our stay while we were visiting Acadia National Park. June was a wonderful host and was very responsive to any questions we had. The bedrooms are spacious and very comfy after long days of hiking. The updated bathrooms are great. And if you are planning on spending time inside there are tons of movies for you to watch. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook meals there. The area around the house has plenty of places to eat and get supplies. If you are looking to go to Bar Harbor, It does takes about 25 minutes, but it is an easy drive.

Great location for Acadia visit

Ideal house location in Trenton for accessing Acadia and also close to stores in Ellsworth. Property nicely setup and enjoyed the video library in the evenings.

5th time at the cottage

This is the fifth time that we have rented the cottage. The rental is very convenient and clean. The amenities are top notch. We tend to eat in a lot and the kitchen is well stocked ,with everything and anything to prepare meals. It has been 12 years since we have been back to the cottage and the outdoor screen house was a welcome addition. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking to stay in the Bar Habor area. Hope to be back sooner than later....

Cozy Cottage in the Woods

The cottage was in a good location for us, close to the park but not in the "busyness" of Bar Harbor. The kitchen had everthing we needed to prepare our meals, and the beds were all super comfy.

Close to Acadia

We had a great stay at this property and it was within easy traveling distance by car to many attractions both on and off of Mt Desert Island. The house was well furnished and immaculately kept. Beds were incredibly comfortable and big! We had a little difficulty with Vacasa sending us the entry code but our host June was very helpful with solving that issue. We would definitely stay her again!

Quiet cottage

Great stay - highly recommended!

This cottage is just as described. Best beds we've ever had in a vacation rental - very comfortable with quality linens. Kitchen fully equipped with everything you would need. Private and quiet surroundings, yet handy to all of Acadia National Park and the Downeast areas. Hostess was always available and very helpful with any questions we had. Nice-sized yard with screened gazebo as well as a good-sized deck. Lots of DVDs, books, and games for rainy days. A great space for small or larger groups looking for a comfortable, roomy place to call home while exploring the coast of Maine.

Perfect autumn Acadia experience

We had a wonderful stay at Goose Cove Cottage during the peak of foliage season. From the amazing surprise welcome package, spacious clean rooms, well-stocked kitchen and all sorts of little extras, the cottage far surpassed our expectations. Thanks June for an incredible Maine experience!

The property was very nice and well stocked. June left us a welcome package with products from Maine which was awesome. The location was good to restaurants and Acadia which we spent most of our time at. June was very easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend this rental property.

Charming cottage in a good location

This is a charming cottage in a great location for getting around in the area. The beds are comfortable (so important) and everything we needed was provided and more. The owner goes above and beyond with hospitality and being easy to reach. The price can't be beat for what you get and location, and there is a bakery with great coffee just down the road. Not far from grocery stores and restaurants. Near Mt. Desert Island and all there is to do there and in other directions as well.

Beautiful Home, Great Property Manager

This cottage is absolutely lovely. Our stay was short but the property manager was prompt and responsive. The bedrooms are large, the home is well maintained and feels warm and welcoming. We had great weather for our stay so we were mostly on hikes and taking in the Acadia scenery. Kitchen was well stocked with the essentials and the beds were comfortable. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the area. Thank you for the great memories.

Before my family moved to Bar Harbor in the late 60's, I have vivid memories of life at the lobster pound that my father and uncle shared ownership of in Sorrento, Maine. Many hours were spent with my siblings scouring the seashore for driftwood, sea glass, and shells, digging up clams, looking for crabs under seaweed at low tide, and exploring tide pools. We grew up with a love of nature and particularly the ocean. Many of my adult years were spent working in Bar Harbor as well as exploring Mt Desert and some of the surrounding islands. After the family business located in Bar Harbor was sold in 2000, we moved to the mid-West where I presently live. But, I am drawn back to this region several times a year to enjoy the unique beauty of Acadia and to experience once again the sights, sounds, and smells associated with the Atlantic ocean.
