Chalet at Wolverine Lake
The Chalet at Wolverine Lake is located just 59 miles north of Anchorage International Airport on a beautiful lake with no public access and surrounded by the Chugach mountain range.
You are centrally located between Denali National Park, Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and the Kenai River and all that area has to offer.
*** Currently a washing machine is not available on-site. Our guests usually go to Idita-Wash in Palmer.
*** Across the boardwalk and on the other side of the game room and hot tub, is our two story three bedroom / two bath rental cabin.

Located in Palmer, this chalet is in the mountains and on the waterfront. Colony House Museum and Independence Mine State Historical Park are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Finger Lake State Recreation Area and Matanuska Glacier State Recreation Site. Musk Ox Farm and Reindeer Farm are also worth visiting. Take in the nearby slopes with cross-country skiing, or try out other outdoor activities such as sledging.

Why they chose this property
Most of the people in town have no idea Wolverine Lake exists. We are at the end of a 9 mile road that is not heavily traveled. Even if you did go all the way out the road, the lake can't be seen from the roadway. The public access has never been developed so this is a hidden lake with virtually no use.
What makes this property unique
This is a unique property even for Alaska. You will understand the second you get to the bottom of the driveway and see the lake, mountains and seclusion.
