Historic Farmette - The Chicken Coop Inn

Built in 1862, this self-contained 1 bedroom, 1 bath unit attached to the main home is situated on 1.5 acres. Brimming with antiques, you will find all the comforts of home. A kitchenette is nicely appointed with cooking and serving essentials, refrigerator/freezer, coffeemaker, cooktop and convection microwave. The bathroom is furnished with spa towels, locally sourced handcrafted soaps, and a hair dryer. A comfy bed with cozy linens complete your relaxing stay.

We offer wireless internet as well as a TV with a guest Netflix account. The unit is centrally heated and air conditioned with your own thermostat.

As a gateway to southeast Wisconsin, we are conveniently located 5.9 miles to Lake Geneva, 7.3 miles to Twin Lakes (Lake Mary and Lake Elizabeth) and 5.9 miles to historic Richmond, Illinois. And that is just the start!

Quaint and charming
We were in the area because our daughter's family were camping at Big Foot Beach State Park. Destination was close to the park so was easy for us to meet at the park and enjoy October Fest in Lake Geneva. Linda and Tom were so welcoming.

I loved my stay! Although it was a short time I was there, Tom and Linda were so accommodating and I appreciated the sweet welcome card and homemade muffin too! I will definitely stay again when in the area.

My friend and I stayed for a night after a concert at Alpine Valley. It was a cozy place in great proximity to Alpine Valley. Linda was great to work with and very welcoming. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area!

Flea Market Weekend Stay
Their home is beautiful and the setting is very peaceful. Our accommodations were clean and had everything we needed, including muffins and fruit for breakfast. Our host and hostess were there to welcome us and even send us off in the morning at 6am!

This is a cute little gem! Historic stone farmhouse with beautiful 300 year old oak tree gracing the entrance. Guest unit is adjacent to main house, updated with modern kitchen and bath. Super nice host, short drive to Lake Geneva for shopping and restaurants.

Just as shown in the photos ! The only thing better than the home and the history are the owners! This place is quite , clean, quaint, and just adorable. We were greeted with a charcuterie board ,wine, and amazing hospitality!. It was absolutely perfect for our anniversary/vaca. You can tell this is a passion of theirs because of the attention to every detail. Thank you for sharing a piece of history with us Tom and Linda. Can’t wait to go back ! Absolutely wonderful
Linda and Tom are very gracious hosts. Linda was there to greet me when I arrived and checked in a couple of times to make sure I didn't need anything. She even made sure to wish me a happy mother's day. A bottle of wine and a cheese plate in the fridge as an extra welcome. The property is beautiful and the Inn is so cute and cozy. I've already booked my next stay ! Tom was there to see me off. You absolutely want to stay here if you're in the area.

Quiet country retreat minutes away from Lake Geneva.
A sweet slice of solitude in this 150 year old brick farmhouse just 10 minutes from Lake Geneva. The 1 bedroom separate apartment has all the necessities and much much more. Very cozy, spotlessly clean, a great bed, beautiful flower beds, and some very tasty treats in the fridge. Tom and Linda are like meeting old friends again. Looking forward to my next trip back to “ The Chicken Coop.”

Excellent location. Close to Lake Geneva (approximately 5 miles), but in a quiet area. The hosts were very personable friendly. The unit was very clean and has all the necessary amenities. Enjoyed watching the chickens peck around in their pen. Looking forward to returning to the house.

We stayed here while visiting Lake Geneva, and it was a perfect place for a short getaway! It was a perfect size for two people, and the owners do a great job of introducing themselves and being available if guests need anything. We got some great scenic recommendations! Wonderful Getaway
We loved our time here! Tom and Linda are the best hosts; so gracious and welcoming. We loved the complementary charcuterie board and bottle of wine. Delicious! The Chicken Coop is very peaceful and a wonderful stay. It was cozy, warm, and very quiet. It is close to Lake Geneva and Delevan if you wish to venture into town. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for that quiet weekend getaway. You will not be disappointed!!
