Great peaceful place to stay.

Property is very private and secluded, a nice change from the busy and crowded tourist areas. The hosts are very responsive and friendly.

The boiling house

A quick ride down the hill to Holetown and the beaches but so far removed. Quiet place to walk in the mornings, watch stars at night, cook in that huge kitchen and enjoy the history of the boiling house. The outdoor area is fabulous, so many different sitting areas. And then there is Margo the dog who would hop into the copper cauldron for a dip in the water.

The most beautiful holiday home I've ever seen

The unique ambience of the old building is so beautiful that we hadn’t much desire to go on excursions on the island and preferred to stay at home. Of course, we still enjoyed the great opportunity to use the nearby exclusive beach club and took advantage of it often. The house is incredibly quiet and undisturbed in the middle of greenery with a great view of the sea. It offers a lot of space and the equipment leaves nothing to be desired. Linda is great and takes fantastic care – thank you very much!!!

Barbados Stay

This is a beautiful spacious property that has history, character, amazing views that’s idea for a family or couples looking to relax and enjoy the location with a nearby beaches and places to drive and visit. The property is ideal if all you want to do is chill out whether sunbathing, reading a book, having a nap or watch a movie. If you want to cook then it’s a super kitchen. Car is a must to benefit if you want to stay this side of the island. Linda is a generous and sincere host and as our flight landed after the shops had closed the basket of food items she provided were ideal. Also her dog family are super cute and lovable. Thankfully had very little difficulty when Hurricane Beryl hit and she kept checking with us. Try this place you won’t be disappointed! Lovely place for a holiday.

Great time in barbados

Had a 5 night stay at this property, it’s very spacious and views are lovely but it is a little tired compared to the photos. It’s well located, a 10 min drive from Holetown, 15 mins Speightstown and 10 mins to the Fairmont beach club which we used a few days. Dishwasher and dryer were broken for the first few days but this was swiftly fixed and the owner was very accommodating about this but it did mean we had someone coming into the house for the first 3 days. Some wildlife around locally, we saw monkeys and lizards to our delight, but noted there were a few worms on the terrace and in the house. I flagged this to the housekeeper who said these were a native pest in Barbados so just something to be aware of. The property had everything we needed, beach towels, large fridge freezer & I loved the large opening windows. Wish there had been a spare bin bag left. AC in bedrooms was great, but wasn’t aware when booking that AC was in bedrooms only. Welcome basket (bread, cheese, eggs, coffee and tea) and cold beers in the fridge was very much appreciated! Overall we enjoyed our stay, sitting on the open veranda for breakfast, and sunset was so relaxing and this open outdoor space with sea view was a highlight of our trip!

A beautiful break from the bustle of the coast

Our family lived in Barbados for a year in 2009 and were returning for both work and vacation. We needed a place that was easy to get to both the west coast beaches and to visit friends and other sites all over the island. We felt so lucky to find this beautiful boiling house smartly remodeled to be a rental by Linda Williams, the owner. Linda has impeccable taste and has created a relaxing get-away on the top of Apes Hill with a stunning view, beautiful breezes, and all the amenities needed to cook and keep a family of 4 very happy. The golf cart path close by makes a beautiful quiet running trail (so rare in barbados!) from which I ran by green monkeys, egrets, mongoose, and stunning scenery at every turn. The stove/oven and refrigerator are industrial size and we enjoyed market shopping and cooking most of our meals. The house comes with a beach pass to the lovely Fairmont Pavilion beach club, which made coast parking and lounging/swimming a very easy and fun experience. The food there is great too. Try the fish cakes and mahi- mahi tacos. This property is best for people who are interested in historic plantation homes (it has the original coral stone walls) and modern luxury and convenience. A great place from which to explore the island. Not a typical tourist experience. A car is a must.

Apes Hill Paradise

Property is beautiful. Peaceful, had everything you needed to enjoy Barbados weather. House had anything you needed. Far from town but that is what we were looking for: no traffic, noise, or people. Was perfect.

This property was perfect in every conceivable

Our property manager Linda was a warm inviting host that gave us space and was a helping hand when needed. The property is well manicured and great for exploring, long walks and just relaxing. It is far enough away from most of the busy areas but not far enough to feel completely secluded. The experience was exactly what my friends and I needed.

Lovely plantation home, breezy, relaxing

We stayed at the house for 6 nights and we absolutely loved it! We knew that we would be a bit of a drive (10mins to the beach) but loved the peace and quiet of the location at the end of the days. The breeze and the open airy vibe this property has allows for you to open all the doors and windows - no need for AC. Although they have it if you feel you do. It is spacious and the beds are comfortable. Kitchen is very well equipped and the little welcome package provided was a wonderful touch. The beach club access card was fantastic and the beach at the Fairmont down the road is wonderful. We would stay here again without a doubt. Linda was a wonderful host.

Absolutely Amazing 👏

This is probably the best place I've ever stayed in Barbados. I don't even know where to start. The scenery is absolutely amazing. It's a quiet slightly isolated neighborhoods (old plantation house). Very peaceful and tranquil. The house it self is super spacious. The fridge is huge! The house just has everything. Untinsels, garbage bags, containers with lids, towels, soap, shampoo, bugs spray, it even came with food a beer 😅. It also has that good AC ( the big industrial one, not the cheap units you find a some hotels). The property manager even came out to find me after I got lost and made sure I got to the property safe. This was 1am in the morning! Book this place. You won't be disappointed.

Comfortable, spacious and elegant

This is a unique rental with an interesting history and lots of room. The outdoor seating area is lovely and we spent most of our time there. Beautiful views of the coast and a constant breeze to keep things cool. The rental is a short drive to the coast, and too far to walk. We rented a car and it was easy to access by car. The guest pass to Fairmont Resort was really appreciated and made the distance from the shore a non-issue for us. We loved the large, well-equipped kitchen and cooked most of our meals (because we love to cook!!) The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with everything needed. It was especially thoughtful to have a few things to “get us started” since we didn’t have time to go to the grocery store on the first day. We actually ended up cancelling some of the activities we had planned because none of us wanted to leave the rental. It was that relaxing and comfortable.
