The perfect property for a group of friends. Everyone loved it. Having a separate bathroom for each bedroom is huge. That, and a perfect cozy gathering space, makes this property ideal. Of course, being so close to Big Powderhorn is also a gigantic bonus. Our thanks to the hosts for making this property available.
This is a great place to stay in the Powderhorn neighborhood. The number of bathrooms was key for my family of 6 (4 of them teenagers). The layout is incredibly smart for the space available and there was more than enough room for all of us as A result. We would definitely stay again if we head up to that area.
This property fits our needs well. We are four guys up for a week of cross-country skiing. We appreciate the 3 bedrooms plus loft & 4 bathrooms. The living room area has plenty of comfortable seating and the kitchen is well stocked and equipped. Please note that the tap water is undrinkable due to high iron content but the host has always stocked the frig with bottles of water when ever we have stayed here.
Comfortable and well equipped 2 story cabin close to the mountain. Great views of New Year fireworks from the balcony. We enjoyed the sauna, the heat was very good. The house is very clean and the host is responsive and welcoming. Bring your own drinking water, the tap water taste will take time to get used to. Thank you for the great stay!
We had an awesome stay at Casa Della Neve! Very clean, well stocked, comfortable. Owner was great with communication...would definitely recommend this place over and over!
This was our second stay at Casa Della Neve. Wonderfully maintained, super clean, spacious, excellent communication with Scott and perfect for annual family trip to the UP! Everything we needed was there.
Fire pit & AC a major plus! Can’t wait to stay again next year!!!
Nice property close to Powderhorn Ski Hill. Only 2 minutes away from the ski lodge. Had a total of 9 (4 adults, 5 kids) stay here and had plenty of room. Really liked the rooms, all had their own bathrooms. A short hike up the stairs to the kitchen and lounge area. We would definitely stay here again.
This was our first time visiting the Upper Peninsula of MI and the location of the property was just a couple minutes from Big Powderhorn, which is where we skied for 2 of the days. The chalet was charming; the kitchen, balcony and living room (with a wood fireplace), was on the 2nd floor, with the 3 bedrooms (each with it's own bathroom) on the main level - just off of the large entryway. It was great to have all of the ski/pole hooks and plenty of other hooks for jackets and ski pants. The snow conditions weren't optimal so we'll need to plan another trip when their winter/snow returns to normal.
The house was very comfortable, with plenty of space for all. We appreciated the individual bedrooms with bathrooms for each of us. It was conveniently located near the local ski trails.
Checkin process was so smooth. Great cabin with all essential facilities. Our whole group really enjoyed the stay and the interior of the unit was great as well. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
Three bedrooms layout each with own bathroom (plus an extra!) was very nice for us as three couples. I would not have been excited to have small kids going up/down the steep ladder to the fourth sleeping area (loft) beds unattended. The water's iron makes the toilets look awful, but we were forewarned. The kitchen/dining/living area on the 2nd floor were a pleasant gathering place for food and games morning/evening, and we were out hiking the area during the day. May is seriously mosquito-filled - be prepared.
This property was basically exactly what I thought it would be.... classic UP lodge to stay while skiing for a weekend. It had everything you'd need; plenty of towels in the bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen, plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, etc... nothing I can think of that we would have needed that wasn't provided!
Owner was nice, and easy to deal with. There was even some waters in the fridge, and some coffee pods on counter. We brought out own coffee and didn't need any, but I nice touch regardless.
The three bedrooms are all downstairs (or main floor) when you walk in, and there's a nice big area for boots, coats, etc... and each room has it's own bathroom which is super nice! The living room and kitchen are actually on the second floor, which was actually nice and provided a nicer view. We used the fireplace, but didn't end up using the sauna... so no review on that. :)
Lastly, there's a terrific loft with two beds up off of the living room that would be perfect for kids. Adults could easily sleep up there too, but again, be great for kids. We never ski Powderhorn, but all of the good places to stay are in the Powderhorn village. So, even though we ski Indianhead usually... the location was still great! Highly recommended our group had a great stay!! No complaints!
We rented Casa della Neve for a family ski weekend. The home was clean, comfortable and well furnished. It was minutes from Big Powderhorn, and a short hop to Indianhead and Whitecap. We got good use of the sauna.
We took a break from skiing to head down the road to the Copper Peak Ski Jump, and watched the sun set over Lake Superior at Black River Harbor.
We have always used BSO for our ski or snowboard rentals.
Had a great stay, location was great just 2 minutes away from the ski hill. The house was clean, comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Would definitely stay again.
This is a great property, great location to the ski hill and a short drive to the Porkies. House was well outfitted and clean. Everyone had a nice bedroom and seperate bath, great for a group of adults.
