Excellent experience! We were passing through and wanted a cozy experience from multiple hotel stays. Our hosts were outstanding and so friendly, attentive to every little detail to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. An outstanding bed and breakfast experience!
James and Gail are charming and attentive hosts. They made dinner reservations for us at a local restaurant, and were flexible to our needs when we needed to get up and go on the early side for a long days drive.
Absolutely fantastic experience overall. Hosts were so hospitable and enjoy chatting with guests. House is beautiful and delightfully furnished. Bed was super comfortable and great air-conditioning! Breakfasts were the best ever.
I felt so welcomed into their home and they couldn’t have been better hosts than I could possibly imagined.
I connected with them on several different levels and even had long conversations what a great stay!!!
Gail and James, are two of the sweetest hosts we've ever had the pleasure of staying with. Their home is extremely comfy and warm. They are also an interesting couple to spend time talking with. I hope we get the opportunity to stay with them again.
James and Gail are the perfect team at this one room bed and breakfast inn. We received detailed instructions on check in that eased us into a relaxing evening. Walking distance from delicious restaurants in downtown Roseburg and breakfast prepared by Gail to perfection! We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience thanks to our hosts welcoming us into their beautiful home.
Gail and James are kind hosts that understand the challenges of travel & what guests need to have a good nights rest. Their home is quiet, clean, the bed was super comfortable, the evening snack & port was a treat & the breakfast was delicious. We appreciated their kindness and hospitality. Totally recommend!
Absolutely lovely with incredible breaskfasts. Truly, Pinterest photo worthy breakfast presentations and just as delicious. Plus, they serve coffee early each morning outside your bedroom door. We had friends in the area and they allowed us to invite them for our last breakfast. And, they didn’t even charge us. Very accommodating hosts. I would definitely recommend this stay
Before we stepped one foot inside this beautiful 100 year old home we were treated like royalty. From Help with luggage, refreshing drinks, a tour of the home, dessert and a fire on the patio in the evening, to the most delicious gourmet breakfast before we left, Our stop here was beyond expectations! James and Gail have paid meticulous Attention to every detail both in the renovation of the home and to their guests. My advice us to book soon because it won’t be long until this Bed and Breakfast will be booked out a year in advance.
Beautiful home and lovely accommodations. Everything was sparkling clean and there were a hundred thoughtful touches by our hosts that made us wish we booked longer. Communication was great. We felt very cared for, even when we arrived late. The hosts even went out of their way to help us with perfect dinner reservations. The bed was super comfy, the bathroom newly renovated, and there was easy parking. If you prefer to slip in and out of a minimalist hotel unnoticed, this is not the stop for you. But if you love real people, fresh flowers, classical music, and a homemade breakfast then this is the spot!
James and Gail are very hospitable hosts. We arrived late and they kept the check in process short so we could go to sleep.
The room is very clean and the bed so comfortable! The balcony right off the room is a nice touch so you can sit outside and drink your morning coffee or just sit and relax. The private bathroom is across the hallway but James and Gail pretty much stayed out of the way while we showered and went back and forth from the room to the bathroom so it was all good.
In the morning they served us coffee and made a delicious breakfast from scratch. They even checked with us ahead of time for dietary restrictions. Breakfast is served at 9 or earlier so keep that in mind if your not an early riser.
James shared with us his music room and Gail showed us her beautiful plants. They even gave us a cold water and pears to take on the road when we left.
Definitely a memorable stay! Recommended. Thanks James and Gail ☺️
My husband and I stayed at Terraluna Inn for our 13th wedding anniversary. The house is beautiful and has such a comforting feel. James and Gail made our visit extra special with their attentiveness and hospitality. We knew we were in for a treat the day we arrived and they served us blueberry sangrias on the patio. Yummy!
The breakfasts were delicious and I was so thrilled the morning Gail made fried cornmeal mush. Growing up in the Midwest, it was a favorite childhood dish of mine. My husband and I both have dietary restrictions and Gail went out of her way to accommodate our needs. The gluten-free, dairy-free scones were delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed their company during breakfast, getting to know them and the great conversations.
James, the music maestro, filled the house with beautiful music everyday. It was such a nice touch and added to the ambience of the house.
There was lots to do in Roseburg. We enjoyed the Wildlife Safari, visiting Hillcrest winery, eating at the Parrot House, the Colliding Rivers viewpoint and hiking to Wolf Creek Falls.
Thank you James and Gail for opening up your amazing house to us and making us feel at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and appreciate everything you did to make it so memorable.

Great stay in Roseburg. The hosts were wonderful. The property immaculate and accommodations very comfortable.
Excellent location for exploring the Umpqua Valley wine region.
The proprietor made dinner reservations for us and even drove us and picked us up as it was dark and raining. We enjoyed their sound system and were treated with adorable witch finger cookies and beverages. Coffee was served upstairs in the morning and then we had the most amazing German pancakes and enjoyed chatting with the hosts. Short but sweet trip! Comfy bed!
James and Gail are excellent hosts. Attention has been paid to every detail to make staying with them a delight. Great conversation and delicious food were just a few highlights of our stay!

What a wonderful stay! Owners James and Gail have thought of everything! Welcoming drink! Pre-breakfast coffee/juice delivered upstairs each morning! Amazing full breakfast each morning! Not only that, but due to our departure flight time, Gail and James provided this full breakfast the second morning at 6:30am rather than the normal 9:00am! Small desert and glass of port delivered upstairs each evening! Beautiful home. Amazingly comfortable. Enjoyed our private balcony. Also enjoyed a glass of wine with James and Gail by the fire in the courtyard one evening! Couldn't have asked for anything more!
A wonderful stay and experience in a great area to explore Highly recommended

About the host
Hosted by James & Gail Ragsdale
Gail is a retired ICU nurse and James is a retired public school music teacher. We enjoy tent camping around the country, gourmet food with travel (and at home). With a couple casinos nearby we sometimes indulge. Most of all, we simply love staying home and caring for/enjoying our wonderful estate!
Why they chose this property
It's a privilege to have found a perfectly intact 1925 estate to care for.
What makes this property unique
There's no other place to live like Roseburg. Stunning views/attractions, safe and close community, and numerous wineries/breweries for visit. Many fine dining establishments to relax in after a day exploring the many waterfalls, the Oregon Coast, or Crater Lake.
