Storybook Mt Lemmon Log Cabin

Beautiful spacious storybook log cabin off Carter Canyon Rd, which has year round access. This is a true Log Cabin with a touch of luxury throughout with easy access & ample space to park 3 or 4 cars on the lower portion of the lot and space for 2 more cars to access the middle level main floor of the cabin “weather depending” off Miami Street. There are two full baths and two spacious bedrooms with King size beds plus a very large loft that has two bunk beds & a private balcony. Middle level main floor is an open floor plan with smart TV and limited Handicap access to that floor only from Miami Street unless there is snow present. It also has the master bedroom located on that floor with a smart TV. The bottom floor family room has Large smart TV with a full bath and a large bedroom with a smart TV, King size Bed and a washer/dryer room. Downstairs has separate entrance that is used as the main entrance off of Carter Rd. There is convenient parking on our lot next to the cabin for 3 or 4 cars to park. The cabin is located within walking distance to the Cookie Cabin, General Store, Saw Mill Restaurant and multiple trails. *** Directions: Drive through the town of Summerhaven and take your first right after the Cookie Cabin on Carter Canyon and follow the road over the hill to the left. You will see our cabin on the left shortly after you pass Miami Street. Parking is the big flat area just before our cabin.

*** Warning this cabin is located on the top of a mountain and some cell providers may have limited coverage. Please make sure you know how to turn on your Internet WIFI calling through your phone and connect it to the wireless network at the cabin for reliable phone service during your stay.

***Warning this cabin is located at 8k elevation. If you book in the wintertime plan on having access to a vehicle with 4x4 and chains to access the property during snowy conditions.

-Wash & put away any kitchen items (dishes, pots, pans, utensils, etc.) you use. -Keep the property & furnishings where they belong & in good order.

Great relief from the heat of the valley

My wife and kids are Tucsonans. I am a native Tucsonan. We had family visiting from South Texas and thought it would be nice to get away from the heat. This was a great idea and a great cabin for it. We enjoyed the cabin and will likely use it again.

Highly Recommend!

The night before our stay, it snowed quite a bit and in the morning the road was closed to Mt Lemmon. Dan was super communicative and discussed various options. In the end, we were able to drive up in our own vehicle and enjoy the beautiful cabin! The cabin was warm and inviting and I felt like we were staying in friend's cabin. It was well stocked with every amenity you might need & more! The PAC-MAN arcade game was a favorite with the kiddos and adults. We enjoyed seeing the wild turkeys, deer and birds. Dan, thank you for sharing your wonderful cabin!

Daniel is awesome

We’ve been staying at Daniel’s place now for 3 years at least once or twice each year taking turns booking. The location is perfect. Just far enough away from the Main Street but close enough to walk down to without the hassle of parking. Cabin is clean and roomy. Plenty of room for the six of us. You could do 8 or even 10 in my estimate. So that brings me to the point. At the last minute circumstances made it that we could not go. We were devastated to say the least. At this point there was no cancellation but after talking with Dan through the app we were able to reschedule and look forward to our visit next month.

It is clear why it is 5 star rated. We had a great experience with everything overall. The host communicates very well and is very prompt. The cabin is very nice and comfortable. It is well furnished with a kitchen that is fully stocked with cookware and appliances. It is situated in a great location to enjoy the outdoors and within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. We will return in the near future.

Storybook at Summerhaven

Absolute loved every bit of this cabin. Dan did everything to make this super easy to get to and stay. The charm and layout is awesome! Cabin home has everything you need for an extended stay or weekend getaway. Would definitely love to stay there again. Thank You so much for a great stay!

An absolute perfect cabin!

We spent our Family Christmas celebration at this gorgeous property. It’s just perfect, fully equipped kitchen and extremely comfortable bedrooms. The host leaves a fantastic book with recommendation’s for restaurants plus things to do. There is a very interesting story on how Mt.Lemmon was named also provided. We enjoyed a cozy fire and watched family movies on the many streaming channels. We cooked our Christmas dinner and the host provided many kitchen items which was wonderful because I forgot some needed measuring cups. The host does a beautiful job providing a wonderful cabin that is so comfortable and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Cabin!

Loved, loved, loved this cabin! Everything was exactly as described. Great communication with the owner, easy check-in process, clean...everything one could possibly want! There was even a little Christmas tree set up next to the fireplace for the holidays! We will be back!

Quaint place for a Family Staycation

Nice views, quite neighbors. Close to hiking trails and a short walk into Summerhaven. The kids loved the 3rd story loft. Huge grill and nice kitchen appliances. Nice place for an outdoor fire too!

We used the cabin to accommodate about nine workers that were doing work in the forest service. The cabin met all our expectations. Everything was clean and there was plenty of room for everyone. I would definitely stay again.

We bought this specific cabin after several years of searching for an "all year access cabin" with easy access and space for plenty of cars to park. We also wanted a cabin with a true log home construction.
