The location of the property is excellent but the house is in need of some work.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Lots of amenities- odd set up
First off the property was not clean at 4:00 arrival- cleaners sent and did their best in 2 hours but beds where not properly made and cleanliness of bathrooms was questionable. House is large and has lots of great amenities but also sooo many useless and/or broken things just wasting space. Location is perfect for Marco Island.
The property listing left out that they had a hot tub, which is such a bonus (especially when it's freezing in Florida). It was located on a beautiful point where boat traffic and sea life were nice to see. There was plenty of room for our party of 7, with 3 full bathrooms available. It could use some updating, but it was very comfortable. The beds seemed new and were very comfy. The pool was heated and enjoyed. The only thing I would recommend is mirrors in the 3 smaller bedrooms simply because when getting ready to go out, everyone cannot be in the bathroom at the same time. I would definitely go back to this property!!

Good location, but repairs and upgrades desperately needed
This home has some good waterfront features as there is a long seawall and it’s just off Collier Bay with dolphins. I was advised in advance a portion of the dock had hurricane damage that was not repaired, but was told there was enough remaining undamaged dock for dockage and fishing. This turned out to be true, but the damaged portion of the dock is a mess which poses a safety issue. If anyone was to fall off the seawall near the damaged dock, there are exposed nails, screws, broken wood, and other debris in and out of the water that could cause serious injury. The owner should not rent this house again until the dock is repaired. As for the house itself, it is pretty run down as anticipated (worn out furniture, cracked mirror, significant carpet stains, tiny ants throughout the master bath that got into all our stuff, a lizard in the master bedroom, and sliding glass doors that need to be replaced as the old wheels constantly came of the tracks, and in any event, one or more could not be secured which caused us concern for our valuables). The air conditioning system is inadequate on hot days which the owner acknowledged when I brought it to his attention. The jacuzzi was also broken. The owner, Jim, was responsive to my calls and had folks come to address some of the issues. I just think he needs to invest some money to get the house up to a better standard. If Jim fixes the dock and makes necessary house repairs and upgrades, I would consider renting again.
We held a marriage ceremony here, post covid, great location, beautiful views, lovely pool….we were fortunate enough to see multiple dolphins, a manatee, and so many gorgeous birds.
I'll start out by saying, we loved the location of the house and the view of Collier Bay was absolutely stunning! Within walking distance of many restaurants and activities. The house itself was not all that impressive. Very outdated and a lot of idiosyncrasies. For example, there were 5 refrigerators and several washer and dryer units at the property, not all of them working. It seemed like the garage was a dumping ground for all of the Craigslist items they picked up (fish tanks, trailers, weight sets, appliances, etc). There were no spices or laundry detergent among many other things that you would expect from previous tenants that I've just seen as common practice at most other places I've stayed. It seems like they just cleared out the entire house of every item from the previous tenants (good or bad) so it was annoying you had to literally buy EVERYTHING at the grocery store. They had several bikes on premises which was a plus. However, most of them looked like they were another dumpster dive or Craigslist find. Several had several flat tires or no breaks. The house wasn't the cleanest either. There were several stains in the ceiling from water leaks, we found broken glass on the kitchen floor the first day, and these tiny ants were all over the house including the bathrooms. The hot tub had this flesh colored film on the top of the water. Needless to say, we did not go in... Communication with the host was an ok experience. I had to call them directly for instructions for entering the property the day of as they didn't answer any of my direct messages on the app or email directions prior. He did answer the phone promptly and was very pleasant so no complaints there. Overall, what you end up getting for the price was underwhelming. This was our 5th year renting properties in Marco. I think we will be checking out different houses in the future.
We enjoyed amazing sunset views at this property. We watched dolphins from the dock. It was an amazing place. Marco Island is a fantastic location and has lots of great places to eat.
We had a very relaxing trip and enjoyed our stay! Most of our trip was spent swimming in the pool and fishing off of the dock. The house was comfortable and the neighborhood was very quiet. The homeowner was very responsive and accomodating.
Beautiful views of the water. Nice large rooms. Would have been helpful had the description included a note that we had to supply the sheets. I would have given it a 5 except that the sliding doors do not lock and some stick. It served the family quite nicely. Our 5 year old grandson even caught his first fish, a catfish, right off the dock!
We loved our stay here; my brother, his grown children and I spent 5 fabulous days on Marco Island in May. The house is a older Florida style in a bay-front location to die for! It's also in the "Olde Marco" area, which is quiet and full of character.
The house itself is quirky but comfortable, and the pool and outdoor living areas, garden and bay views suited us perfectly.
Amazing location right on the water!! Multiple dolphins were swimming right under the dock!
Our group spent all of our time on the outside covered patio and the lawn.
The house itself had 4 bedrooms and the beds were comfortable. The house is tired and could definitely use some updating. The pool was large, but the pool water was not circulating.
We had a fabulous weekend getaway and very much enjoyed the location.
Location of this house is excellent! Outdoor space is perfect.

Why they chose this property
This property, only recently added to VRBO is awesome because of its location on collier bay. This an ideal vacation home. You will see dolphins and manatee crossing by your private dock and sunsets every day from the pool deck, dock and backyard. The neighborhood is quiet and exclusive. You can walk or ride a bike to many of Marco Island's restaurants and attractions.
What makes this property unique
Central ocation on the island. Great water access from the backyard dock.
