Love the house itself Management Company was very pleasant and quick to reply Beds are very firm to be nice Stayed mid October 2024 It was very cool that week, We inquired about heating the pool and were told it was not available For the price the Owners should make sure everything works.

Family beach trip

We have stayed in Shipwatch several times. It is our favorite private beach. We had 6 adults and four kids. It did work out for us. Not room for anyone else. Nice beach chairs and toys. Response from management was great

Annual family vacation

We always have a great time on our family vacation. We liked the location of this house. It had a few technical malfunctions at first but the management was quick to provide repairs. Two misconceptions on the online advertisement. It sleeps 10 not 12. The "private" access to the beach is no different than the hotels down the beach with lines of umbrellas and chairs at the edge of the water. In fact when we put our chairs in front of empty chairs we were asked to move when the umbrella renters arrived. Otherwise, the management team was A+ and we enjoyed our stay.

Destin area beach stay with family of 10

It appears the listing has been updated to four bedrooms, but when we reserved the property, it mentioned that it was five bedrooms. There is a hallway type of bedroom with bunkbeds without a door that was inconvenient as the initial listing was misleading. Other than that, the property was nice. They were plenty of places for me and my family to sit. We enjoyed viewing and feeding the turtles and fish off of the deck. The small pool was nice but hardly used because we went to the ocean so much. everything worked as it was supposed to and they were plenty of fans for everyone staying. We enjoy our visit as this was located in a gated community with easy access to the beach.

Family Fun Time st the Veach

The property was lovely and well-designed for a family group of 10. It was very close to the beach and the small lake off the deck was very nice. Our group all has their own preferences for daily activities and all were well met. The only complaint by our group was the pillows. The beds were comfortable. The pillows were flat and we all complained about them amongst ourselves. An upgrade on pillows would be greatly appreciated. Routine cleaning of the grill had been overlooked prior to our visit and lighting the grill caused a grease fire that resulted in us being unable to cook out on our only available night. I’m hoping Maintenance took care of that as promised. Maintenance’s first expressed concern was for our family members, and that was much appreciated. All in all, it was an excellent visit, beautiful accommodations, and Destin-Miramar area is one of our favorite and most beautiful beaches

A piece of heaven

We absolutely loved our stay. So much open, great space to accommodate everyone. All ages loved the patio view of the lake and turtles, making it a very relaxing spot to settle down, play games, etc. We expected a bigger pool but was great for the babies. Since the beach was so close and so nice, we didnt have the need for a bigger pool for the adults. Shopping for fun or groceries were literally walking distance, yet no crazy traffic. Such a great location!! We had a few issues with the a/c but they were quick to take care of it, very considerate. Thank you for such a great get away!

Amazing Experience

From the moment that we called the property manager with questions, we were impressed! Their service was top notch and provided everything that we needed. The neighborhood was great and a short walk to the beach.

Wonderful beach location and house.

The house and location were wonderful. The home was clean and spacious for our 5 adults and 3 children. The only thing we noticed was that additional silverware, for larger groups would be handy. We had an issue with a wasp nest that was taken care of quickly. The rental property management were great to work with. Highly recommend this house and the Shipwatch area.

We enjoyed our stay at the house. It was well stocked with towels which was much appreciated. The beach was literally in the back yard. The grocery store was in walking distance and and there was an outlet about a 10 min walk away.if the opportunity to come back comes up and the house is available I'd stay here again.

Perfect Beach House

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this beach house. The house had plenty of space and great amenities. The proximity to the beach was amazing. The walk to the beach is only 2 minutes. The children loved seeing all of the turtles that are in the pond behind the house. I would really recommend this property to anyone looking for a perfect beach house location. Thank you for letting us stay at this great property. We cant wait to come back in the future!

Perfect location for family vacation!

My family spent a week in this beautiful home and had a great time! We enjoyed the local restaurants and also cooked/grilled in the kitchen. The house was clean and comfortable and was just a 2 minute walk from the private beach. The Property Manager was great at communicating and very friendly! I would highly recommend this home for your family vacation. It truly was everything we’d hoped for in a vacation home!

Multiple Family Beach Vacation

The property was as advertised. It was more than well equipped with everything needed for a beach vacation with a private feel to it all. Of importance, the company representing the property actually allowed us to gain access to the gated entrance so we could park our vehicles (in the overflow lot) before the house was ready. This greatly impacted our first day, as it allowed our family to go to the beach hours before he house was ready.

Fun family trip!

Great property for extended family gathering! The multiple master bedroom suites were so nice for larger groups. Loved the turtles and fish off the deck and close proximity to the beach for easy and private access. We did have a maintenance issues but they were quick to resolve and address. Washer and dryer were great to have on site. Loved the area and will return for sure!

Destin wedding trip

The house was in a great location for the wedding because it was very convenient to the venue. The beach overwalk was terrific. House was lovely. However, the parking situation should be explained to folks because parking for any kind of truck or large SUV is limited. Also the noise from the neighbor to the left's pool unit was annoying when sitting on back porch.

Great layout of house and super close to the beach

We had a fantastic stay at this property! The house is as described. It is very large, open, and spacious with high ceilings that make it feel even bigger. The back deck is large and the upstairs screen porch is a wonderful place to hang out as well. Proximity to the beach is a huge plus… we could easily walk back and forth to the property. The property came with some boogie boards, chairs, an umbrella, and a wagon which was so helpful. The house was clean and they even let us get in a little early. Oh and the grocery store is right across the street which is really convenient. The house has clearly been rented frequently and the kitchen could use a little love. The kitchen is not well stocked, we had to go out and buy our own can opener and pot holders. Also the best are the most comfy. But overall that did not detract from our stay…. The house and the closeness of the beach were so worth it and we would love to go back.

Awesome stay!

We really enjoyed our time at Anchors Away! The property was beautiful, clean, and perfect for our two families. We loved being steps away from the beach and enjoyed feeding the fish and turtles. Would definitely stay here again!
