The house location was worth the drive. The kitchen is one of the most well stocked VRBOs I've stayed it. Living room and bedrooms were spacious and never felt cramped.
Another wonderful stay at the Logan Mountain cabin!
This was our second time at the cabin and we will definitely be back in the future! The views are amazing and the peace and solitude are priceless. Ric and Sylvia are very nice people and my granddaughter loved their dog and cats. With Cody just 20 minutes to the East and Yellowstone 45 minutes to the West, it’s the perfect stay for whatever you want to do. We love it here!
We were very impressed with our stay. Sylvia was very nice and answered any questions we had about the property and surrounding area. The house was well stocked with everything we may need, with the exception of our food. I would recommend to anyone that doesnt have issues with traveling up a mountainside with winding gravel roads to stay here. The views were beautiful.
I absolutely loved this location in the mountains. We had the best view of all. The cabin had so much room and a bed for each of our family members. We travelled to see Yellowstone, Tetons, Jackson Hole, Lamar Valley, and all the beautiful scenery and different animals we could see.
Absolutely must have 4W or all wheel. From Highway it takes at least 20 minutes to drive 2.7 mile drive way. The views were outstanding. Absolutely essential you get in before dark at least the first trip in. My grandsons were ages 16-23. They loved it. They saw a mountain goat/big horn sheep. Great experience!
Pictures do not do this property justice. My family loved this property. We stayed at many houses on our big road trip and this home was everyone’s favorite. The road up takes a bit of time, but the views and wildlife is worth it. We loved sitting out on the front porch every night. The house itself has plenty of space, as we are a group of 10. The main space allows everyone to be together, but doing different things. There are trails on the property that were fun to check out. Yellowstone and the town of Cody are close by. Sylvia and her husband were quick with communication. There dog came to visit and play with our dogs daily! Highly recommend this property! If we ever come back this way we would definitely stay here again!
We had a wonderful 4 day / 3 night stay with our dogs - beautiful landscape, absolutely incredible views from the cabin / house as well as the hikes. Hosts & their dogs were wonderful. The road up is definitely as described - steep, slow, and ideally needs 4WD (and no less than AWD), and wouldn't advise it at night. If you like the outdoors, elevation, quiet & peacefulness, wide-open spaces, incredible views and star-filled skies, this is the place to be. We will definitely return.
We really enjoyed our stay on Logan Mountain! We knew it would be a trek up to the cabin, but it sure was worth it! The views are stunning and the peace and quiet up there is unbelievable. The cabin was clean, comfortable and roomy for our group of six. You absolutely need all wheel drive if you plan to stay here. Sylvia is a great host and we loved her dog Zane as well! The drive from Cody is only about 20 minutes and about 45 minutes to Yellowstone. Just pick up your supplies in Cody before you get there to minimize your trips up and down the mountain. We had a wonderful stay here and will definitely be back again in the future!
It is quite a trek up the mountain to this cabin (4x4 vehicle) but the views are fantastic! Nice big, roomy, & comfortable cabin. They are working on updating it, but it was perfect for our group! Cody is down the road and was fun.
We wanted our kids to enjoy an “unplugged” white Christmas in a secluded cabin in the mountains. We got just exactly that, it was a beautiful clean cabin with an even more beautiful view, we had no cell service which allowed for a lot of quality family time. The cabin has a huge well stocked kitchen, nice cozy family room, nice bedrooms/bathrooms, a cozy fireplace, laundry, and games for the whole family to enjoy. The host was very friendly and accommodating, she had a fire going when we got there and came to meet us and show us around minutes after we arrived. My whole family would recommend this place 100%.
We rented this property for 4 adults and 4 children. The views are amazing and there is a decent amount of hiking you can do right on the property. Sylvia was wonderful and so kind. You 100% need an AWD vehicle to reach the house. It is a 3 mile drive on a gravel road that has many switchbacks and can be very steep at certain points. We tried to only come and go once per day to reduce the number of times we had to go up and down the driveway. Overall a great experience!
This cabin was absolutely wonderful. Spacious, beautiful and welcoming. Rick and Sylvia were the most friendly and accommodating folks I have ever worked with. We so enjoyed our week and really enjoyed visiting with them! I would recommend this cabin to anyone! Thank you!
The views are fantastic but the road there requires 4Wd or AWD. The property is at 7600' and the road is very rugged/rutted, but at the top it's worth it. It is 30 minutes to Cody with all the amenities it has to offer and the approach takes you by the Buffalo Bill State Park and reservoir.
The property has no WiFi - very spotty cell service, if any - but does have Dish Satellite TV so if you are planning a getaway from technology, this is the place..
The weather was perfect, 70's and 80's during the day and 50's/60's at night - perfect for sleeping with the windows open.
There is no A/C so we had to rearrange some of the window screens as not all windows had screens so a little TLC would make this place even better.
Sylvia was very accommodating and helpful - communication was almost instantaneous via text. We left a lot of split firewood for the next guests and their S'mores fire.
This place was perfect for a get-away-from-it-all cabin. Spectacular views in every direction. The host was a sweetheart and had a fire burning in the fireplace when we arrived. It’s not new and fancy but comfortable, secluded and relaxing!
Taking the dirty road up to the summit and discover this little paradise in the middle of nowhere was exactly what we were looking for ! We had great moments in this cabin !!
What a fun place to stay at. Beautiful canyon cabin way off the beaten path. Gorgeous views with more than enough accommodations. The hosts were unbelievably nice. The road up to the place is steep and you want four-wheel-drive. But once you’ve driven it you will be fine.
We stayed here in the middle of June while visiting Yellowstone. We are a family of 5 that lives on a remote ranch in Texas so we are not unaccustomed to driving a long dirt road. This property is off the beaten path so if you're looking for a remote get away this is it. The cabin is very large and has an amazing view of the mountains! Just note that there isn't any cell service or wifi and it takes about 10 minutes in a 4x4 to get to the house if you know how to drive that kind of road. We weren't at the house a lot but it would be a great place if you have a big group and just wanted to hang out together, cook and spend family time. If you're looking for a convenient place close to Cody or Yellowstone, this may not be you're best bet. The hosts of the property live within a stones throw from the rental and are very nice and responsive.
Tucked away near the top of Logan Mt is the beautifully converted hunting lodge we stayed in. Panoramic views and easy access to Yellowstone. It was perfect for our group of 6. The manager was on top of everything. A very smooth vacation withou issues.
