The location to Snowshoe Village and the ski slopes is great. The property itself wasn’t bad, very well stocked kitchen, cozy overall. Great property for a small family. Some areas had the wallpaper peeling off the wall, the WiFi was extremely spotty as we had to keep unplugging it to get it to work. Mountain Lodge in itself is more geared towards younger families, very noisy throughtout the building and the “quiet time” wasn’t imposed very well as people were still playing ping pong and shooting pool until 1030 at night. If the property was in another building it would have been great, nothing against the property itself more so the Mountain Lodge as a whole.
Convenience with a great view of the BallHooter lift
Family of 4 spent 2 nights. We were comfortable. We really only used the room to clean up and sleep in. We had other family and friends we spent most of our time out with.
Listing is very accurate. We loved the view of the chairlift, especially during long breaks while our toddler napped. Simple accommodations, clean, bedroom is dark & quiet which was great.
The condo was great and as advertised. Easy check in plenty of dishes cups etc. Plenty of sleeping room for three guys we did bring an air mattress wich fit perfectly in the kitchen when the sofa bed was pulled out. View of the ballhooter was awesome. Had a blast will definatly be coming back
This was exactly what we were looking for! We wanted the convenience of slopeside and this did not disappoint. Our view from the deck was great…it was fun people watching everyone get off the lift. Also enjoyed a beautiful sunrise. A short walk to the village for dinner but the kitchen onsite had plenty of accessories for cooking. Perfect amount of room for a small family. We had some minor cleaning issues and the remote didn’t work but owner was prompt to answer and directed us to the front desk. Downstairs there is a giant lounge area with fireplace and games which was nice. Parking and check in was a dream! We will def be back! Would recommend bringing a fan to help dry your gear but dryers worked as well and cost $2.
This unit was well equipped, nicely kept up, and in a corner of that area of the building. I would highly recommend this unit. The only complain is the property itself charging for parking when parking was free in the summer and open for everyone else who attended the trade show in the building I was participating in. No offer to refund the parking fees when asked about it.
We just spent the weekend at this condo and it was perfect. The condo is on the third level with the view of the chair lift and the mountains. It is walking distance to the village which made it even better with our 4 year old and 3 month old baby. It had the perfect view for the Fourth of July fireworks!!
The place was clean and kitchen had everything we needed. The sofa bed was not the most comfortable (are they ever, tho?). The dishwasher was annoying to use as it doesn’t open fully due to its placement with the stove but we managed. We did have to ask for a fan for the bedroom as the cooling system is only in the living room and we needed the fan to get air circulating. Thankfully the front desk had one for us.
I would recommend staying here and look forward to coming back!
Can’t beat the location. You can see ballhooter from the window!
Easy check in and out process, big parking lot.
Room clean, plenty towels. Most utensils available in the kitchen( an extra set of thongs and spatulas would help) but otherwise plenty pots and pans, coffee maker, toaster available.. We chose to cook/ prep food inside and avoid eating out due to ongoing Covid situation. Also we traveled with two small kids. Not a lot of people wearing masks unfortunately.
Will definitely come back!
The room was clean and organized. We did have an issue with parking, as we were unable to park in the mountain lodge lot even though we paid for the parking pass. But that was just circumstantial, due to all of the trucks with trailers. We had a great time!
We are so glad we found this slope-side condo for our family ski trip. It was clean and comfortable, and perfect for taking a lunch break with young kids to break up a long day of skiing.
We loved having the bench outside the condo (unit) entrance! So helpful for putting on ski boots etc.
The only (and minor) complaint I have is the lack of closet availability for our bags to be out of our walking paths.
Would highly recommend this place, and might even look to stay here again!!!
The condo itself was great! The view was lovely, the precautions taken for COVID-19 were nice, and we appreciated the clear communication regarding the process for everything given the pandemic. Overall we loved the amenities and really enjoyed our stay!
One thing people should be aware of though is that the staff here were not taking precautions at all. While signs were posted stated masks were required, every single staff members we came into contact with was maskless. We witnessed the cleaning staff cleaning rooms with no protective gear of any kind on. This was certainly alarming, and is something guests may want to be aware of before the stay at the Mountain Lodge.
It was our first time to Snowshoe. The condo was just as it was represented online. Check in, parking and check out was easy. It is a great location to ski rentals and all the excursions we had booked.
Property was clean and well stocked. The location was quiet as it was a corner apartment; the view is of the mountain and the ski lift. All furnishings were comfortable. I have stayed at Mountain Lodge many times and will continue to do so.
Great location next to the ballhooter lift and village. Place had everything we needed. We enjoyed out stay.
