Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Never received arrival instructions for access to property. Tried to contact owner via messaging but got no response. Tried calling and phone had been disconnected. Place is up for sale and in need of repairs.
No information received about check-in. Tried to call the adjoining winery and the phone was disconnected. The winery web site said there had been a fire. We did not travel to the site not knowing if we could get in or not.

Knowingly false listing
Although the listing says it is on a working vineyard with a cordon Bleu chef, everything is in ruins. After arriving on property, I found that there was very little that was accurate about the listing, so I went to the reviews. The owner knows this, but has not yet changed the listing. I even asked ahead of time if there was a grill and was told yes. There is no grill. There is a firepit with no wood, no charcoal, no matches...but lighter fluid under the sink. Its like they gave up.
Unfortunately, we did not end up staying here. We had planned our trip based on the description. “You are near a working winery with food on site. Our Cordon bleu trained chef offers new creations each week…” when we arrived, the tasting room was closed and appeared to be in shambles. There was no “chef. Apparently, they had had a fire. A dumpster in the parking lot, the vineyards were overgrown and looked abandoned. There was a for sale sign on the property. The key was in he place they stated. We drive down to the cabins, where we had to watch where we stepped. The field around the cabins were overgrown. We would not have booked the property if we would have known any of this. We had to drive an hour and pay for a hotel room instead. When I asked for a refund due to misinformation and misrepresentation, I was ignored. Very disappointing to say the least. I feel for them and their circumstances, but I was lied to.
We booked the VRBO on the property which was advertised as a cottage on the winery. We arrived Friday night at 7PM and left Monday morning. First, they stated in the booking that we were going to stay in Cabin 2 and that our key would be under a flower pot. We found a key but it wasn't to cabin 2, it was to cabin 3. No big deal though. We get into the cabin and noticed there was no kitchen at all, whatsoever. Not even a mini fridge or a grill outside. So all of the food we brought with us to cook was wasted. There was one coffee mug and one water cup so we took turns drinking coffee. Our door locked us in from the inside so we had to put our five year old through the window with a key to go unlock the door. The VRBO advertisement stated that there would be an onsite chef at the tasting room but the winery and restaurant was not open a single time for the duration of our stay. We saw not one single person. The cottage itself was cute. We just had higher expectations based on what seemed like false advertising. We tried to reach out to them multiple times via phone call and VRBO website and we couldn’t get a response. Our 5 year old was disappointed because we couldn’t interact with the lamas even though the VRBO listing stated that we would have an opportunity to feed them.
Had great time staying at Jeanette ’s place. The property is absolutely very clean, very cosy and stylish. It is exactly the same as shown in the pictures.
Cute tiny house in a garden shed near a winery. There’s a huge field that our dogs enjoyed running in. My husband and I enjoyed a nice lunch at the winery one afternoon. There was another couple in the other cabin the first evening, but we didn’t hear them despite the tiny homes being quite close together.
3 tiny cabins in a farm yard - the perfect getaway for those looking to disconnect. Walking/Driving distance of the winery depending on the weather. Fire pit is at the winery not near the cabins.
Perfect for stargazing and quiet nights.
House is tiny but very well appointed. Great beds and linens, and smartly decorated. Door can be swung open, and you can sit inside in your rocker, looking out on to the farm lands. Simple place to spend a night a night or two. Leverage the wine tasting room for food and beverage, or drop into a local joint nearby for local fare. Hostess was great and gracious enough to introduce my daughter to the animals. A great stay.
