This house was great for our group of four friends. Everyone had their own sleeping space and there are 3 full bathrooms plus a powder room. We all hung out in the great room at the back, which is full of light and so comfy, but there are many spaces to be own your own in the house as well. It is right past the downtown shopping and dining area and so convenient to anywhere you want to be in Lewes. The kitchen is well-stocked, the beds are comfortable, and the owner is very responsive. It's a great pick for a family or group of friends.
Namaste At the Bay (or the canal) was wonderful. The house was large and in great shape, the bed (s) and bath (s) were fantastic and the location...can't get any better than this...my son had a fishing line in the canal all week. Property Managment was great to deal with as well. We will stay again.
Thanks!
A small group of lifelong friends and sorority sisters stayed for a long weekend. We love this house!! The location is very convenient to shops and restaurants. We throughly enjoyed walking 2nd street, shopping, getting, massages and facials and trying many of the restaurants. The house itself is as it is in the pictures. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We loved lounging in the great room, talking late into the night, and playing board games. The 2 off street parking spaces were very nice to have. The property manager was very easy to deal with and prompt to respond to my inquiries. We will be back!!
I have visited Lewes beach for years but had yet to stay in town until now...this historic and charming property gave us the perfect "heart of Lewes" experience! My friend and I were in town for a girls weekend and the Coastal Delaware Marathon and wanted to be able to walk to restaurants and boutiques in a comfortable private space that would feel like a home away from home. The house is quite spacious and nicely laid out whether you need a little sitting area for peace and quiet or a big eating and living space for everyone to hang out together. It is decorated characteristically and endearingly of both an updated maritime/beach house and a historic East Coast home. We woke up and took a coffee walk and explored a living history experience courtesy of the Lewes Historical Society. We did so much shopping that we were able to stop at the house to drop off our goodies in between. After the marathon, we spent the afternoon hanging on the beach, sitting on the porch people-watching, and walked over to Agave for our post-race libations! As a mom of 4, I would also highly recommend this property as well for families...great bunkbed set up, lots of board games and a great TV family room, and a few steps from Kings for ice cream and the playground!
We have been coming to Lewes the past 4yrs and this trip didn’t disappoint! Location, Location, Location!! We never had to drive anywhere unless we wanted to. Easy access to all restaurants, beaches, shops, bike trails, etc! I would highly recommend and look forward to getting back! Exactly as advertised!
We had a wonderful time at this lovely house! Perfect location to explore beaches, cape henlopen, and historic Lewes. Great house to enjoy family together over games and yummy meals! Will definitely come back to the area and house.
My family and I have been coming to Lewes for many years and have recently stayed in various rentals. This home was outstanding in every way-super spacious, beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, and super close to the quaint and cute downtown area. We loved being able to walk to all of our favorite restaurants and store as well as the beach!! We hope to return again soon!
We stayed in Lewes for the first time this summer. Namaste at the Bay was a great home and the location was amazing. Close proximity to center of town.
This house was stunning in every way - beautiful and comfortable home and furnishings, an amazing mix of historical elements and modern living, and the absolute best location in the heart of Lewes. We have been visiting Lewes for 10+ years and this is our favorite home, hands down. Thank you for sharing this gem!
We had 6 adults and 4 children (8-10yrs.) for a family reunion and the layout was perfect with lots of room both to be together and for separate activities. Everyone was comfortable with zoned cooling, and 3 1/2 bath. It was walkable to many good restaurants and an ice cream store. The hidden courtyard turned out to be a safe, convenient place to store our bikes, boogie boards, beach chairs and toys. We also liked it that the location was very quiet. Hope to be back soon!
The house was clean and great for our group. The location let us walk to the beach and also easily pick up take out, get ice cream at the amazing Kings, and jump on the bike trail to Rehobeth. The kitchen was well stocked.
Great house with a great location. Perfect setting to sit outside or walk to area attractions. The house is beautifully kept and we especially loved the family room!

Why they chose this property
My family purchased this property in 2018 and it was owned by the same couple for about 20 years and it was love at first site. We treat this property as our home and we open our doors to renters who appreciate beautiful homes and take care of things. Over the last 6 years, we have gradually updated all the bathrooms, bedrooms and most importantly the roof deck. It is a special place which our family enjoys and we hope you find the same joy.
What makes this property unique
The location is unbeatable. Second street is an iconic street right on the main strip of bars and restaurants. There are only a dozen or so homes and this is the only rental property. It is a surprisingly large home, we have not had it measured but I would guess over 4000 sq feet. It is also a through street which opens right to the canal which has swing sets, tennis courts, basketball courts, outdoor concerts/movies and its landscaping is breathtaking.
