About this property

A beautiful family castle, welcoming and authentic, in the countryside

This family castle, built in 1703 on the ruins of an old castle, has been restored taste. A sweet and generous atmosphere emerges. Its wide openings bathed in light at any time of the day. The kitchen is equipped for big tribes, with its Aga stove and its big pots. Most rooms have their bathroom. The bedding has all been redone. We imagine large meetings with several families Outside, a large terrace opens onto a clear view, in the distance the valley of the Saone. In summer, we have lunch in the shade of the lime tree. On the other side, the sheltered and west-facing courtyard is home to end-of-day aperitifs. On site, you can benefit from the services of a person who can cook meals or offer cooking workshops to your children. In winter, you arrive in a heated house. Then the heating is billed additionally, based on the actual consumption of fuel oil (about 100 € per day).
The house is located in the heart of a small village of Haute-Saone, 325 km from Paris, between Alsace and Burgundy. You will discover picturesque hamlets, landscapes bathed in exceptional lights, a green nature. In autumn, this magical place looks like a little Canada. Near the Saône, you can discover the remarkable environment of the banks of this river by taking the towpaths of the "small navigable Saône" and the Canal des Vosges.

An enchanted château in a breathtaking landscape

We stayed for a long weekend with a couple of history loving friends and had a real time travel experience. The rooms are furnished with much love for historical detail and the bathrooms have all are modern comfort. The owner was super friendly and gave us an extended tour with many interesting facts from the rich history of the building (and all the needed information for our stay of course ).
