About this property

Idaho's Henry's Fork Ranch offers guests more than all the others.

The Henry's Fork Ranch offers guests 2 miles of private access to the renowned Henry's Fork of the Snake River. This section of river is very wadable or floatable, but most important , 80% of the fish caught off our banks measure 16 inches or more. The ranch is a 500 acre working cattle ranch that caters to the outdoor enthusiast. Ranch activities include fly fishing, bird watching, waterfowl hunting, sight seeing, relaxing, and cross country skiing. Since we offer one solitary cabin, you'll share the ranch with the host, cattle, horses and sheep, but no other guests.

Fishing on the Henry's Fork: The Henry's Fork of the Snake River is open year round for fishing. Most anglers prefer to fish with flies but the river allows rod casting as well. This stretch of the river is designated as a wild fishery so it has limits and restrictions. The fishery is very healthy and big Rainbow and Brown Trout are the norm for anglers.

Henry's Fork Ranch is in the middle of it all: The Henry's Fork Ranch is centrally located near many of the areas major attractions. Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks are within a short drive. There is also Jackson Hole Wyoming, West Yellowstone and St. Anthony Sand Dunes. The ranch sits on the bank of the Henry's Fork but there are the South Fork of the Snake River, Madison River, Warm River, Fall River, Robison Creek, and numerous other streams. We also have major lakes like Henrys Lake, Island Park Reservoir, Hebgen Lake, and Ashton Reservoir to fish.

Year round activities: The ranch provides an environment for many migrating birds and waterfowl. Bird watchers come to see a wide variety of bird species such as Trumpeter Swans, Canada Geese, Sandhill Cranes, Bald Eagles, Osprey and a wide variety of songbirds. Other activities include ATV riding, Golfing, Horseback riding, hiking, rafting, skiing and snowmobiling depending on the time of year. Waterfowl hunting is available on the ranch and big game hunting is nearby.

Amazing location!

We stayed at the cabin for one week. It is an amazing location and Bill and Teresa were awesome. Bill was a pleasure to talk with about the property and fishing and Teresa baked us muffins and cookies! We would recommend this location for anybody wanting to fish locally or use the cabin as a central location to be able to get to other sightseeing or fishing spots. Top notch people and location.

Perfection

Such an amazing place. It was the perfect winter getaway for our family. Cabin is just as described. It was incredibly clean and ready for our arrival. We felt like we were checking in a 5-star hotel. Towels, linens and pretty much everything you need (especially with kids) were all very good quality and clean! Hosts even had a baby gate available which was very handy and useful to keep our 18 months old son away from the stair case. The hosts are amazing. They made everything so easy. Thank you Teresa and Bill! We will come back!

Unbelievable location and owners

We had an incredible stay! The owners were so friendly. They came over and give us a tour of the cabin and let us know how everything works. Not only that they knew it was my husbands birthday and made him a birthday cake, which we have to say is by far one of the best Poppy seed cakes We've ever had! Also, it was on a beautiful piece of land on the Henry’s Fork River. It was amazing seeing and hearing the wildlife highly recommend staying here

Peaceful getaway

We loved the peace and quiet of this lovely cabin. The hospitality of the owners is wonderful. My teens had fun floating the river and of course this is the place to fly fish! You'll get lots of love from the owner's dogs too! Definitely the place to go for some R&R.

Cabin was exactly as pictured. It was cozy, cleaned to perfection and came with the best hosts in the VRBO world. I can’t wait to come back. Of our entire trip across three states, this was our favorite stay.

Lovely Winter Getaway

The grounds are beautiful, with big trees and it is right by the river where we saw geese and swans almost daily. The cabin is so well built (by Bill himself), very meticulously done, and clean. I mentioned to Teresa that I think that they thought of everything that we could possibly need during our stay and had it available. Really amazing and friendly hosts that did a great job of being available to us and letting us have our space, too. Highly recommend!

Rustic with all conveniences

A beautiful log cabin which has been totally rebuilt to include modern conveniences while preserving the look and feel of the original. Less than 100 yards from gold medal fly fishing waters (private access). Our stay was very comfortable and definitely enhanced by our visits with our hosts and the presence of wildlife. We are definitely planning for a return trip in the future.

Anniversary weekend

Cabin was beautiful! Property was beautiful! Even though you are on a ranch with the owners nearby, it was private, relaxing, and a fantastic weekend away. The owners are welcoming and willing to help with anything you need to make your stay and experience what you hope for. We will definitely be back for another getaway.

Awesome Getaway

We stayed here August 10 through August 13, 2020. We checked into the most beautifully restored and decorated homestead cabin. It was very comfortable with a front and back porch for relaxing. The cabin was spotless and very well maintained. Huge trees surround the cabin that make for a cozy atmosphere. Bill and Teresa greeted us with the most tasty chocolate chip cookies. They were delish! We loved hearing about the history of the cabin. I thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the front porch with my yarn and crochet hook in hand while my husband was fly fishing in the river. This was off the beaten path of the busy road and well worth it. The Henry's Fork River is within walking distance of the cabin and the scenery is gorgeous. Beautiful sunsets lit up the sky. Bill and Teresa have 4 of the most adoreable dogs. They were so fun to have around. One bright and early morning before dawn, two owls were hooting back and forth in the tall trees. I went out on the front porch, curled up in a blanket and just sat and listened to them. It was awesome. Thank you Bill and Teresa for your wonderful hospitality and sharing this labor of love restored cabin for others to enjoy. We will definitely be back :)
