About this property

Peaceful Lakefront Cottage with kayaks, canoe, paddleboat and fishing rowboat

Three bedroom 2 bath remodeled lakefront with central air, WIFI, DISH and newly finished basement on peaceful all sports East Londo Lake. Five kayaks are included along with a canoe, rowboat, paddleboat, and bike. Londo Lake is completely wild on one side so you can watch deer, bald eagles, loons, ducks and blue herons. Kick back with a cold beer or sip wine on our two-level deck overlooking the lake. Grill up some steaks on the grill, or watch the kids swim or fish off the dock (lots of bass, pike and panfish). Kayak around our 175 acre lake, canoe the nearby Au Sable River or toast s'mores around a bonfire. Watch a movie in the rec room while the kids play board games or build Lego creations. We have DISH TV, High Speed Internet and VHS and DVD players. Visit www.londolakecottage.weebly.com for photos and more info.

Nearby attractions: Our favorite adventure is to visit the sand dunes on the Au Sable River at Lumberman's monument. A more leisurely trip can be had on the River Queen, an old fashioned paddlewheel boat that cruises down the Au Sable River. Our kids love to body surf the waves and play on the sugar sand beaches of Oscoda or Tawas, then visit the Lighthouse and catch a movie in Tawas or West Branch. Craving some ice cream? Visit the Victorian Cafe in Hale. Venture out for a frosty mug of beer and burgers at nearby Long Lake Lakeside bar and grill or Kenyons on Sage Lake. Enjoy excellent ribs, beer and pizza at Main Street Pizza in Hale - truly delicious!

Long weekends in Spring or Fall - 3 day minimum . Rented by the week in summer with some exceptions.

Email or text me to make a reservation.
NOTE: LIMIT 7 people. We ask that you bring your own sheets and towels but we have extras if you forget. Also please take trash with you or to nearby dump. No pets or bachelor parties. NO SMOKING.

I am a retired elementary art teacher who loves to kayak, hike, swim, bike, mountain climb and boat. This is our second home and we have lovingly remodeled and decorated it so that it is comfortable and relaxing for us and our guests. We enjoy sharing this peaceful spot so others can enjoy this unique natural setting with wildlife right outside the cottage. I have bird books for birders, and other animal guide books and binoculars. We enjoy grilling and roasting s'mores so there are all the amenities to do so available for you. There are fishing poles and a tacklebox in the garage. If you smoke, please do so outside where there is an ashtray provided on the lower deck. Use the AllTrails app to find fun nearby hikes. We have many in our immediate area. Enjoy!

Why they chose this property

This lovely lake is wild on one side creating a peaceful, beautiful setting. I love kayaking the lake early in the morning when the lake water is like glass and the birds are singing. Trumpeter swans, loons, sandhill cranes, spring frogs, herons and ducks are some of my favorite critters to watch.

What makes this property unique

Our lake is one of the few in the area that is completely wild on one side. We see deer step onto the far shore at dusk for a drink. There are beaver who live near the marsh, and loons return each year to raise their chicks on the lake. I love the peace and quite during the week and also enjoy watching the boats on weekends. Our lake is an excellent fishing lake with many bass, pike, bluegill, and crappie. Londo Lake is an All Sports lake as well.
