There a several ways to access the ski lifts: *walking to the Whistler Village base gondolas (15-20 min walk) *3 min shuttle ride. There are 2 different shuttle stops, one in front of the house (bus 32) and one in the back by Nester's market. The fare is $2.50 each way *by car - 3 min drive, park in one of the 5 large parking lots at the base and walk to the gondolas
Nester's market is right behind the house. Just cross the street and you can get your groceries right away by walking. There is also a nice coffee shop to soak in the breathtaking views.

Pleasant with hiccups
The start to our vacation didn't go as expected. Requesting an early check in we arrived close to 4pm due to travel only to find out we were locked out of the unit and interior garage. The batteries did not work (which we ended up replacing) in the interior garage control panel and the doors were locked from the inside due to the cleaning crew. Phone number on the interior garage door is wrong for help. Some hours later, after a locksmith had been called by the owner we finally made it into the unit. The unit was nice but not as expected. We were staying for 11 days. We ended up having to purchase a broom to sweep, vacuum didn't work, no extra toilet paper or tissue. We also had to purchase dish soap and paper towels. Expresso machine not functioning and downstairs wine cooler power off. Couldn't use the fire place as the wood on the deck is "FOR SHOW' only. There was no hose to fill the hot tub so we ended up using a pot from the kitchen. The steps to the front entry were so icy we purchased a shovel and deicer so we could get to and from the front walk way. For the amount of money we paid to stay (over $24K) we would have thought all these issue wouldn't have existed. The fact I was charged the entire amount when I booked should have been a sign something was up. Usually you get to make payments and upon contacting VRBO they stated this is what the owner set up regarding payments to stay.
I would suggest anyone staying here make sure the unit is stocked with basic necessities. Make sure to ask if things are running. The location is excellent for anyone who wants to stay close to the village. The walk is beautiful and short. The owners need to update the unit and fix the issues. A good cleaning wouldn't hurt either.
We had an amazing time at this beautiful house. It was one of the best equipped homes we’ve ever stayed in. The location was just perfect — walking distance from Whistler village, very accessible from the highway from Vancouver, plus access to Nesters Marker which was a great find. We loved our stay — outstanding!
