AMI condo

We loved the big pool, proximity to beach and location of the condo. Pros- dog friendly, new kitchen, shutters and bedroom furniture. Shower worked well. Cons- decor could use some updating. Overall, great 2 week stay, beautiful island and we would return! ❤️

Tolle Unterkunft

Schöne und saubere Wohnung,die ganze Anlage war sehr gepflegt...leider war es sehr laut da unsere Nachbarwohnung renoviert wurde und die Handwerker schon sehr früh morgens 7am kamen und bis abends 8pm gearbeitet haben..nachdem die Renovierung beendet war sind die Besitzer gekommen die leider auch nicht viel Rücksicht auf die Nachbarschaft genommen haben.(man kann ja sehr früh aus dem Haus gehen muss aber die Türen nicht zuwerfen und wenn man Fernsehen schaut geht das auch Zimmer Lautstärke und muss nicht die sound Anlage aufdrehen so das nebenan der Bass durch den ganzen Körper geht)..ich würde jeder Zeit diese Wohnung wieder buchen wenn ich wüsste das die Nachbarn nicht da sind...

Had a fantastic stay at Runaway Bay! Beach was right across the street, pool was fabulous. The pool could be open later into the evening. Condo was as expected, floors could be cleaner. Only problem was in the HVAC closet there was a patch of what looked to be black mold.

Great Vacation

We had a great time and enjoyed our condo. The condo had plenty of you and the beds were super comfy. The patio closet has a beach wagon, beach chairs, fishing poles, charcoal, etc. I would recommend some of the utensils be replaced because they are rusted. The unit does have a Kurig so that was nice. Someone did have to duct tape the water container together, but it works like a charm! There are plenty of beach towels too. We would definitely stay in this unit again. Thanks for sharing your condo with us!

Runaway Bay

This condo was extremely dirty- we swept up tons of dirt and long white dog hair. The walls, and floors need to be washed- we even washed a fairly large streak of blood off of the door frame. All of blinds had missing panels and some of the cords were held together by Bobby pins. We thought it was strange that no one was staying next to us, under us, or diagonal to us and there were warning signs on the doors. We were quick to find out once the condos were being worked on and rotted wood pulled from the rooms that there was water damage and mold issues. While talking to one of the men working in the room next door he said “no ones been up keeping the stucco so the moisture has caused tons of mold to grow” he further said that you can’t see the mold until you cut out a piece of the wall and “most if not all of these condos probably have the same mold growing.” Extremely comforting thing to hear. The room was conveniently located near the pool; however, had we known this was a retirement community and the pool closed by 7:45 pm each night we would have chose a different place since we had our sons (11 and 14) as the older population who lived there were clearly not enthused to see children at the pool and were very dedicated guardians of the pool- the one gentleman even sat outside in a lawn chair near the gate to make sure no one tried going to the pool. My poor boys were scared to death as they were being interrogated by him when I walked up as we weren’t aware that the pool was closed since it was still light outside. We tried to play shuffle board around 8:30 and another elderly tenant made it clear we weren’t welcome to do so. Anna Maria’s quiet time May say 10 pm- but this complex is not hospitable to families and expects everyone to be in bed by 8. While drinking coffee by the pool one morning, one of the older ladies in a large group who all lived there (they loudly made it clear to everyone around them that they owned rooms) told her friends she was not going to swim to that end of the pool because she didn’t know if any of that “nappy hair” would be floating and get on her.... appalling to be witness to such discrimination- especially of a teenage girl. She and her mother quickly left the area. I believe that was there goal- to push all the vacationers out of there home. It’s fine if they want to keep this a retirement community- but this should be clearly advertised when renting this room.

Near perfect location- access to bay and walk across the street to gorgeous beach. Walk to restaurants. Could see pool from condo which was comfortable and well equipped.

Winter getaway

Great location and a very nice property. Easy access to the beach and local restaurants. The condo is spacious and decorated nicely. On site management is very responsive. We enjoyed the pool as well. We will definitely consider returning to this property.
