This is the perfect place within walking distance of downtown/plaza. 13 minute walk to shopping areas on the plaza. Groceries/wine store very close by as well. The near by (7 minute walk) Solana center is a small Mall with several restaurants and a yoga studio. It is in a family kind of neighborhood and is very safe. Large A/C unit plus swamp coolers to stay cooler. There is a big screen smart TV for Net f l i x movie viewing. Fenced in front yard and close to the dog park. Private front porch with closing Indian doors is a bonus.

Santa Fe Vacation

The host was very nice but I do think he needs some help with deep cleaning the house. The outdoor area is way overcrowded.

Terrible Dilapidated Mess, Please Do Not Rent

I wish I could post pictures of this mess, I will try to describe the best I can. Complete False advertising. I spent about six hours on the phone and lost a day and a half of my vacation dealing with this to get a small fraction of what I paid and was told that is all that can be done, and he is still renting this place. We also had a strange feeling he was staying in the garage while we were there.Homeowner insisted on meeting to show where all the light switches are and tell us to turn down furnace when leaving and put magnets on the vents. The yard was full of trash, a miter saw in the yard, shop vac, plastic sheets, trash, the front porch was a stack of chairs and stuff, Sheets and towels stacked in chairs inside the house, cabinet doors that will not close, cabinet with no doors with cleaning supplies and paint accessible to children, cleaning chemicals everywhere, paint, buckets of stucco, all closets full, dirty and smelled. The showers had left over shampoo, soaps, sponges, razors, and dirty. After my wife told him the fridge was dirty, and she cleaned it upon arriving he said that she is pickier than him. I sent pics into Vrbo and had managers telling me that it was unhabitable, I could still not get refunded. I have contacted the Santa Fe Short Term Rental Office for a start. I cannot in good conscience ignore this and have others rent this place, especially if they have young children.

Tiles fell off the shower after 3 showers, no heat till complained.

I coped with it. I was going through ( weeks of radiation treatments at the cancer facility in Santa Fe. You charged me too much for the crummy place we lived in. I did not want to complain because I was not able to relocate. My rating is 2

Beware...Health Hazard!

I NEVER write reviews and I feel awful even having to write this, but I feel like it's necessary to warn others...if you're looking at this place BEWARE. This place is unfortunately, falling apart. It was FILTHY. The entire place smelled musty and like pet urine. The beds were disgusting. The sheets weren't washed and the pillows had stains. One of the pillows had crusted tomato seeds on it!! We ended up going to the store just to buy our own sheets. The only towels available were the ones hanging on the rack and they were filthy. I've never stayed in a place for this price and been concerned for my health. The ceiling in the kitchen is falling in. The skylight is blocked off and likely moldy from leaks. There were LITERALLY huge nails hammered into the ceiling to keep the roof from falling in. The cabinets are old and worn, with gaps between the wall and the cabinet. There are ant bait traps all over the kitchen. ThERE WAS OLD, ROTTEN FOOD in the Fridge!!! The trash can had trash already in it!!! Disgusting. I was worried while showering that I would fall through the floor, as it had a wood block on the bottom of the shower and there was obvious extensive water damage that had eaten through the walls and baseboards of the shower. To top it off, the owner continuously came by unannounced to work on his garden and the neighbors seemed to live in the garage!!!! What a disaster. First time I've seriously thought of just going back home and eating the lost money. I get it...times are hard...but this home is NO position to be rented out to others, especially those with kids!!!!

Why they chose this property

The neighborhood is a very quiet and safe part of town and within walking distance of the plaza. Parking down town is not easy in the warmer months or tourist season.

This property has an abundance of games such as chess and scrabble for guests to play while sitting down after dinner. It also has a fire place and 2 dining room areas so if you have a number of friends with you there is some space to stretch out a bit. It offers 3 bedrooms and a hide a bed in one of the dining areas. There is a special new structure in the front yard called Sharky's pool hall. It is a nice covered lounging area in the front yard with a mini Shaper image pool table. It is a hit with kids. All of the neighbors think it is very unique and makes the property special for many of the neighbors that walk by with their dogs after sun set. Having a location in a safe part of town is a plus.

What makes this property unique

It is very close to the Solana center with offer 5 restaurants, grocery store, liquor store, a yoga center and many extras all within a 7 minute walk. Down town Plaza area is about 3 blocks to the east. If you have one or 2 non skiers in your group they will be in walking distance of all of the activities that down town has to offer.
Not many listings can offer 2 full bathrooms and have the ability to sleep 8 people.
3 bedroom plus a couch and a queen hide a bed in the dining room and 2 bathrooms.
