Nice comfortable and roomy cabin with nice morning Mountain View-

Nice roomy cabin with very pretty morning view of mountains! The separation of all bedrooms and each one having its own bathroom is a very nice plus! Great for couples vacations.

Hot tub and jetted tub not included

We booked this listing with the cover photo being the hot tub. Thinking we would have a hot tub. We checked in and there was NO HOTTUB. They removed it. And didn’t tell us. Which sucks because the hot tub is the reason we booked. So we resorted to the small jetted tub in the master bedroom. And that didn’t work either. Vacasa didn’t give me a refund either. If you want a hot tub or jetted tub. Don’t stay here. Otherwise, it was clean and a comfortable stay.

Christmas in Tennessee

We enjoyed the property and the views were amazing! The wrap around porch was very nice. It was on a pretty steep hill so no flat space to walk the dogs but still a very nice stay!

Clean and nice

Everything was great except hot tub was only 70 degrees so wasn’t usable as we were only there one night and it didn’t heat up fast enough, was wanting to use it but that’s the only complaint

Good potential, dirty and lots of problems.

Great location, comfortable beds and beautiful views. Many problems though that could be easily fixed with some time effort and care. Beds were all made nice and hadclean sheets, every nightstand and tv though was covered with dust. Beautiful view from the living room and dining room windows but they were very dirty inside and out. Windows in the peak need a good cleaning. Fireplace was a nice touch, but had small hand prints all over the glass. Hot tub on deck was nice, but the deck had old hair ties and strings from someone’s swim trunks and lots of animal feces. A little sweeping of the deck before we checked in would have taken care of it. Big issues were the door to the bathroom on the main floor looks to have been broken at one time and not fixed correctly. The door fits oddly into the frame and you can get locked in the bathroom (which we did) if you don’t push real hard on the door while turning the door handle. Also the step up to the cabin from the parking spot is much larger than a normal step. Beware the first time up and down that you don’t fall. All furniture is very old and beat up. Outdoor furniture old rusted and dirty. Rugs are filthy, new ones are recommended. Good amount of kitchen utensils and pans but the pizza pan that was provided was too big for the oven. Tv in bedroom on main floor didn’t work, and we needed to fix it. Light fixture hanging down from ceiling by wires on the stairwell to the basement. Vacasa was notified of most of these issues when found, and seemed concerned. They did offer to come out and fix some of the issues. We didn’t really want to be bothered with staff during our vacation so we dealt with what we had. We purposely didn’t spend much time at the cabin. One last odd complaint is the cleaning staff arrived at the cabin 30 minutes before check out time. She sat in her car and waited as we loaded up our luggage and packed our car. Made us feel rushed and uncomfortable. We did not let the poor conditions of this cabin ruin our vacation. We had a great time and loved visiting Tennessee.

Great location and awesome views

Very nice accommodations. Could use some deep cleaning tho. Two of the bedrooms were very spacious, but the one bedroom (on ground floor) was tiny and with the king bed had very little room and no closet. And while sleeping in that room you could hear every noise from the upstairs bedroom. very nice overall tho.

Great stay

Great place to stay. It was up a steep hill but wasn’t a problem during our early October stay. A few issues came up with the microwave, not enough bath towels and cable in one of the rooms didn’t work but after contacting the host, they resolved all issues quickly. We even got to bring our dogs with which was awesome. The views were incredible, jacuzzi was a nice touch. It was close to everything you could possibly need. Stocking the kitchen a bit more would’ve been great since we ate there alot but would definitely book there again

Wasted Potential

This cabin is not worth the money you will pay to stay there. It’s very worn and outdated. It’s dirty. Dust is piled up on everything. Toilets and bathtub still had grime buildup and the floors hade not been mopped. They say it’s pet friendly but there is zero grass anywhere for your pet to go to the bathroom. We had to drive down the mountain every time to find grass a quarter of the mile down the road for her to go. There were zero blankets only sheets on the bed and they acted like jerks when I requested they bring blankets, said they couldn’t guarantee a time and I said well we spent one night without them so they should be here before bedtime tonight which gave them 8 hours to bring some by. They again replied saying they would get them there when they could but no guarantees. The decor is so outdated and no where near what you’d think a cabin should be decorated like. The whole place needs a deep deep cleaning. All the cookware was garbage so bring your own pans if you’re wanting to cook meals there. Not sure what happened with the hot tub but the first night the chlorine was so strong we were all coughing and choking and had to get out. We added more water to it and left the cover off and it was tolerable to sit in the next night. For the fees you pay for cleaning and the condition of the cabin it’s obvious someone spent like 30 minutes tops cleaning between guest. The dishwasher had food piled up in the bottom. The bed had candy wrappers shoved down in the side boards

WONDERFUL

The views are amazing, the house is gorgeous and filled with everything you could want out of a fun weekend, the hosts are helpful and responsive, and the dog friendly is the critical cherry on top for my wife and I. 11 out of 10 would stay again and recommend to a friend. Hopefully this spring!

Review

The house was spacious and offered great view. However, the main floor shower handled was stripped out and plumbing had to be bypassed creating a NON-functional shower on the main floor. Also, the living room sofa pull out bed would not fold up. Lastly, the main level handrail near the main door with Mountain View was broken. The drop is very deep and this could be a potential danger for anyone. Overall the cabin was nice .

Renter Beware

I loved the size of the cabin. The parking area in front of the cabin was way too small. There was really no area to walk the dog and this is a dog friendly cabin. The deck was in need of MUCH repair, pretty scary. Once inside the cabin we were hit with a very musty smell. Come to find out there was pet urine on the carpet, on the steps going down to the lower level and on the steps going up to the upper level. Other than that, the rest was not too bad with the exception of very little blankets on the beds. One bed didn't have any blanket at all. We searched the cabin and couldn't find any extra. I will most likely not rent using vacasa.com again.

Fell way short! Smells like an ashtray!

I unfortunately don't have many good things to say about this cabin. The good; great view, has 3 separate bedrooms on all 3 levels, allows pets. The bad; it smells like an ASH TRAY!!! The smell of cigarette smoke hits you in the face the moment you walk in. I have two daughters with asthma and we almost had to leave. I opened evey window and tried to air it out but eveytime we came back it was like walking into an old bar. The hot tub would work on and off with a horrible rotten water smell. They only provide 2 comforters for 3 beds so hopefully you bring a blanket for the 3rd bed. All of the carpets on the stairs are filthy, stained and smell. Nothing is picked up or cleaned on any of the porches. Be ready to sweep, clean cobwebs on all of the chairs. The pool table is nice but 3 of the 6 pockets are torn and the balls randomly fall out. Just fyi the upstairs shower leakes all the time and it's a steady leak. It's unfortunate the management company does not keep this place up or hold people to the rules of no smoking! This is a shinning example of doing the absolute bare minimum and charging alot of money. Only worried about 1 thing, money. I will ensure I never rent from Vacasa or any properties they manage. This company and the owners should be ashamed of the way this cabin smells.

Nice views and dog friendly

We love that it's dog friendly. It had beautiful Mountain views and was spacious. 3 floors with a bedroom and bathroom on each floor. It's up a steep hill so it may be scary if there was winter weather.

Beautiful view

We enjoyed our stay however the reason for only the three stars. There was pet hairs on the floor in the basement in the corners and around the baseboard. It appeared to not be cleaned all that great. I had my young grandchildren with me and they had to stay inside or you had to watch them closely because the spindles are all falling off the porch or loose. The toilet in the master bedroom and the top floor would not hardly flush, after using the plunger I found a bar of soap inside the toilet. The remote controls were scattered all over the house and we had to figure out which one worked which TV. overall the cabin is just outdated. These are all just minor complaints overall we enjoyed our stay. Just an FYI for the next guest.

Spacious pet friendly cabin that was conveniently located near pigeon forge parkway

We enjoyed our stay at Harrison’s Hideout. It was spacious and pet friendly. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because there were stains in the carpet, probably from a larger pet. Also the furniture and appliances were older and didn’t work very well. The cabin was very pretty and clean, other than stains. Conveniently located.

overall ok

when we arrived, we had never been sent a door code. i had to stay on the phone for over an hour and a half waiting to get in. Then we also never received a Wi-Fi password, and it wasn't worth the trouble staying on the phone for it. the place could use some repairs and a good spring clean but overall, it was a good stay.
