Un petit coin de paradis

Logement propre et fonctionnel conforme à sa description. Nous avons apprécié la terrasse avec vue sur la mer et proche de la végétation luxuriante. Nous avons fait une belle découverte, le chant des hylodes ! Emplacement proche de la nature et de très belles plages sans sargasses (grande anse, la perle). Propriétaires très sympas et à l'écoute des vacanciers. Nous avons passé une très belle semaine chez Corinne et Raymond.

super séjour à Deshaie

nous avons avons passé un très agréable séjour au Gîte Mangoplaya avec mon mari et ma fille de 18 ans ! l'appartement était confortable, calme avec une superbe vue sur la mer. La plage est accessible à pieds en 5 mn. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et attentionnés. je recommande sans hésiter le gîte Mangoplaya. Catherine

Great location and fantastic views

This was our 4th visit to the island and we trully enjoyed our stay at Mangoplaya . The location is great, just a short walk to one of the best beaches on Guadeloupe. Two-bedroom suite was clean, spacious and cheerful. We enjoyed breakfast in the morning while seating on the deck with fantastic view of the mountains and the sea, and incredible sunsets in the evening. Having the pool at the property surrounded by lavish tropical plants was a big plus and you can easily spent the whole day relaxing right at the house without leaving the place. Overall great experience for our stay, very convenient location, attentive host and comfortable accommodations with fantastic views of the island and the sea. Would gladly return and stay there again

Calme, vue mer, très bien situé

Gîte situé à proximité de la plage de grande Anse, avec un joli Carbet qui donne sur la forêt tropicale. Les oiseaux (sucrier et couple de rouge gorge) vous rendent visite pour déjeuner avec vous. Jolie vue mer et très calme. Propriétaires sympathiques et discrets. Nous avons passé 4 jours très agréables à Deshaies.

Encore mieux que ce que nous espérions !

Le bonheur est au bout de la montée !!! Gîte et studio confortables et colorés, piscine face à la forêt luxuriante et embaumée par les fragrances de l'ylang-ylang et bercée par le chants des oiseaux et grenouilles le soir ! Terrasse face à la mer et carbet ventilé par les alizés pour les repas en plein air en compagnie des sucriers ! Raymond et Corinne ont donné une âme à ce décor ! Merci de nous quatre et à bientôt.

VACANCES DE RÊVES DANS UN CADRE PARADISIAQUE !!!

C'est la 2ème fois que nous venons en famille dans le gîte de Corinne et Raymond, où nous avons encore été très bien accueillis : disponibilité, bons conseils, sympathie et discrétion sont les principales qualités de nos hôtes qui nous viennent à l'esprit. Nous avons retrouvé un gîte spacieux, confortable, propre, disposant de tout ce qui est nécessaire pour passer un agréable séjour de 15 jours. Nous avons apprécié de prendre nos repas sur le carbet avec les oiseaux, lézards, grenouilles.., en contemplant la végétation luxuriante et la vue sur Grande Anse (très beaux couchés de soleil). De plus, sa situation en hauteur, nous a sûrement épargné des piqûres de moustiques :-) ! On se sent en sécurité comme à la maison. Lors de notre prochain séjour en Guadeloupe (très vite on l'espère) , nous reviendrons sans hésitation à Mangoplaya. Ce gîte est idéalement placé pour ceux qui aiment la nature, le calme et qui veulent naviguer entre Basse Terre et Grande Terre. Encore merci à Corinne et Raymond pour leur hospitalité !!! Die Lage: absolut Top! Unterkunft: reicht für eine Spitzenbewertung nicht aus.

Die Räume waren schon okay. Nur die Küchenzeile ist bereits etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Der Gasherd war nicht voll funktionsfähig, der Haartrockner funktionierte nur teilweise. Die Pool-Liegen und Stühle hatten keine Polster. Andere kleine Mängel hätten wahrscheinlich sofort behoben werden können, wenn der Vermieter nicht zur gleichen Zeit selbst im Urlaub gewesen wäre. Daher nur vier Sterne und trotzdem absolut empfehlenswert.

Wonderful!

We had a wonderful visit to Gite Mangoplaya! Grand Anse beach is just a short walk away, and Deshaies is only a few minutes by car. The views are amazing both of the ocean from the front and the forest hillside from the pool. The pool was very refreshing, and the property was very peaceful and quiet. We did not get to meet our hosts as they were away, but their neighbor was very helpful and attentive. We arrived fairly late in the evening and our hosts were kind enough to provide us with some drinks, a bottle of wine, and some coffee for the morning! Our GPS took us on the D18 so we missed the signs and got a little lost. Just make sure to stay on the N2. Make sure to bring soap, shampoo, and beach towels as none are provided. Extra trash bags would have been helpful as well. The unit met all of our needs, although the back bedroom was a bit musty smelling. Unfortunately there are no screens in the windows, so you need to keep the windows closed at night with the a.c. on because of mosquitoes. As another reviewer mentioned the picture on the listing of the house by the pool is the owner's house and not where you will be staying. You will be in one of two units on the floor beneath. We recommend visiting the nearby botanical garden, as well as walking up the coastline from Plage de Grand-Anse to Plage de la Perle and back. We also enjoyed renting kayaks in Plage de Malendure and paddling out to Pigeon Island to go snorkeling, although we fought a gale to get back! Hiking the mountain at the south end of Plage de Grand-Anse was also fun. Our favorite restaurants were Lotentik at Plage de Grand-Anse, and Paradise Kafe in Deshaies. If you don't speak French you will definitely struggle with the language barrier in Guadeloupe, but it’s all part of the adventure!

Sublime tout est parfait

Un merveilleux gîte vous attend à 300m d'une très belle plage.Le gîte est conforme à la description du site ,rien à redire les propriétaires sont toujours à l'écoute des vacanciers et vous donnent de bons conseils.Cela fait quelques années que nous y allons et c'est avec un grand plaisir que nous y retournerons l'an prochain.

Très bon séjour

The place to be

There's not really much to say about this place, except that it's perfect! The view is awesome, the beaches close to flat are more than beautiful and I cannot think of anything better than waking up and having breakfast next to the rainforest. On top of that Ray and Corinne are the nicest hosts ever, helping you with a lot of useful advice to explore the island and make the most of your holidays (Ray, as you told us, we went to Petite Terre and we loved it!). So just go there, you won't regret it, that's for sure!

Parfait tout est nickel,propre, les propriétaires sont chamants,vous donnent de bons conseils,sont présents au moindre soucis ( y en a pas souvent!!),l'acces bien indiqué,vous êtes à 300m de la plage où on y mange très bien ainsi qu'à Deshaies. cela fait 3 fois que nous y allons et chaque fois on revient enchantés.

Gorgeous view, charming unit, gracious host

We (2 adults, 2 teens) stayed in Gite Mangoplaya's 2 bedroom unit: brightly painted and colorfully decorated rooms are very inviting and clean. The views from the gite are fabulous. It is located on a hill with a view of the sea. When at home we spent most of our time on the large patio and at the outdoor dining table which is on an adjacent deck under a roof (which was handy for at he few times we had some rainfall). The kitchen area is small but functional and met all our needs. Our host/landlord Ray speaks excellent English and gave us many suggestions of places to visit on both Basse Terre and Grand Terre, as well as local restaurant recommendations. This was our first trip to Guadeloupe and we definitely plan to return to this beautiful and friendly island. We recommend you use the mosquito netting while sleeping, as the beautiful views from the windows are not hindered by any screens and if the windows are open, the mosquitoes will seek you out. Be prepared for a very steep driveway and somewhat tricky parking. We'll brush up on some French before our next visit -- this is NOT one of those places "where everyone speaks English"!

Un cadre paisible et dépaysant entre mer et forêt

Un cadre dépaysant, à 500 m de la plage, en même temps en hauteur dans la colline. Une maison de type belle case créole magnifique avec piscine privée rien que pour vous en milieu des arbres tropicaux et des chants incroyables des oiseaux et grenouilles. Le gite est superbe, confortable, grand, spacieux, idéal pour les familles (2 adultes, 2 enfants), avec une chambre parental isolée très charmante. Une terrasse qui surplombe la plage de grande anse, certainement la plus longue et belle plage de Basse-Terre. Le gite est idéalement placé à Basse-Terre, côté mer des caraïbes, plus calme que l'océan atlantique. Le climat y est aussi plus stable, et moins venteux. L'accueil de Raymond et Corinne est aussi chaleureux. Raymond vous donnera plein de petits conseils et sites à visiter qui sont très nombreux sur Basse-Terre pour ceux qui aiment la randonnée et les cascades, vous serez bien servis dans la forêt tropicale, il y en a pour tous les niveaux. Nous y sommes allés en basse saison, fin juin, début juillet, c'était idéal, peu de touristes, prix attractifs. Les sites sont d'une grande beauté en Basse-Terre et sont très différents de grande terre beaucoup plus touristique. Seul hic, peu d'animations le soir notamment dans les environs, restos fermés le soir cause d'arrêté municipal et l'eau courante est un véritable problème pour les habitants. De nombreuses coupures d'eau dans la journée... mais ne vous inquiétez pas, Raymond a un plan B ! Je le recommande vivement pour tous ceux qui veulent se rendre en Guadeloupe dans un coin paisible.

Que du bonheur chez Mangoplaya :))

13 jours pendant les vacances de février 2015 avec mes filles de 10 et 12 ans dans le grand gite coloré de Mangoplaya. Gîte spacieux et bien équipé situé sur les hauteurs de Deshaies dans un environnement de végétation luxuriante sans vis à vis et avec une vue imprenable sur la mer des Caraïbes. Nous avons bénéficié d'une réduction pour usage restreint de la piscine les quelques 1ers jours car les propriétaires étaient eux aussi en vacances. Mais ceux ci nous informaient par textos de leur absence pour que nous puissions en profiter. A vrai dire, nous étions très souvent en vadrouille !! Couchers de soleil inoubliables. Propriétaires discrets tout en restant très disponibles et serviables. Magnifique plage de Grande Anse à 300/400 m du gîte. Deshaies était idéalement située pour la visite de Basse Terre. Nous avons alterné rando et plages, dans le désordre : Plages de Grande Anse pour les vagues, Petite Anse pour les poissons et baptême de plongée, Malendure pour les tortues !! Nous avons nagé à leurs côtés ;)) Rando Soufrière sans guide, rando dans la forêt tropicale, 1/2 journée dans le lagon au départ de sainte Rose (à faire absolument) ... Un grand merci à Corinne et Raymond pour ce séjour inoubliable

superbe gite

très bon séjour,grace au soleil mais aussi à notre gite,très bon accueil des propriétaires,tout etait impecable,si il y a le moindre problème ils sont présents de suite et hop c'est réglé.Il y fait très calme,vue sur mer,près de la plage zvec ces petits restaurants ( coté lagon on peut dire petit gastronomique). très belle piscine bien rentretenue. Tout pour un parfait sejour

la paix au paradis

un gite bien equipe et climatise. une vue exceptionnelle sur la mer des caraibes, une des plus belle plage de l'ile a quelques minutes a pieds. une piscine et un jardin superbe. les repas sous le carbet en compagnie d'oiseau.Un accueil fort sympathique de Raymond et Corinne.sejour parfait ,un retour avec le plein de beaux souvenirs.

“Mangoplaya - un rêve au paradis”

From 28/12/2013 - 18/01/2014 we spent our holidays a Mangolaya on the "île papillon" Guadeloupe. We had a REALLY REALLY GREAT time there!!!! Mangoplaya is the really best place for holidays. The gite is so beautiful with a lot of lovely details, a wonderful tropical garden, two terasses with an unbelievable view and....Ray and Co were so lovely hosts. They gave us so much useful informations about Guadeloupe and we had many nice conversations. We will come back to this paradis - soon!!!!! Thanks a lot for all!!!!! Marcel & Anja

Excellent séjour

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans le gite MANGOPLAYA situé à quelques pas de la plage " Grande Anse ". Nous avons particulièrement apprécié l'accueil des propriétaires, très bons guides pour leurs conseils utiles : bonnes adresses de restaurants, magnifiques sites à visiter, séjour, sites et hôtes tout était parfait .Nous recommandons cette location calme qui incite à la détente après une journée bien remplie, avec une jolie vue de la terrasse sur la mer .

A RECOMMANDER FORTEMENT

Nous recommandons fortement ce gite. Toute la famille a été émerveillée par la vue magnifique que nous avions : végétation et vue sur la mer. Grande tranquillité et un confort parfait : très bonne climatisation et tout le nécessaire dans le gite. C'est vraiment agréable de tomber sur une location complétement conforme à l'annonce que nous avions vue sur le site... Et nous n'oublierons pas non plus l'accueil chaleureux des propriétaires. Que dire de plus, tout était parfait....

vacances ensoleillées février 2013

Un grand merci à Corinne et Raymond pour leur gentillesse et leurs conseils de visites et d'excursions qui ont rendu notre séjour vraiment sympa! Pas besoin de lire les guides,ils connaissent très bien la Guadeloupe et savent vous orienter en fonction de vos envies : plages,marches,jardins...il y a vraiment de quoi s'occuper juste autour de Deshaies. Leur gîte est situé dans un quartier résidentiel très calme,un peu en hauteur de Grande Anse, il bénéficie d'une vue magnifique. La piscine est très agréable et permet de se rafraîchir aux heures les plus chaudes. La plage de Grande Anse est splendide,par contre il peut y avoir certains jours de gros rouleaux qui rendent la baignade un peu dangereuse surtout pour les enfants. Cela dit pas très loin,se trouvent d'autres plages plus calmes et également très belles. Nous recommandons vivement leur adresse et espérons y retourner avec nos 3 enfants!!

A conseiller sans hésitation !

15 jours passés en Guadeloupe. Corinne et Raymond sont vraiment très accueillants, chaleureux et de bons conseils. Le gîte est vraiment bien situé, la description est conforme au site, et quelle vue magnifique sur Grande Anse ! Nous avons bien apprécié Basse-terre avec son aspect plus « sauvage » et moins touristique que Grande-Terre. Un petit coucou à Dominique du restaurant « Passion Créole » qui reflète à elle seule toute la Guadeloupe. A conseiller sans hésitation.
