Beautiful home, right near the water. Enjoyed Bryson City, the Great Smokey Mountain Railway and local shops! Home was very comfortable for the family and you can fish right out front! Great views of the river.
Great house, great location, not great neighborhood
The house was great - had a lot of charm and was plenty big enough for our family (8 people). Beds were comfortable and check-in process was a breeze. The owners were very responsive when I asked a question.
The location is very convenient to downtown Bryson City, and the views of the river are really nice.
However, the neighborhood is kind of dumpy with a lot of trailers and yard trash. My dog was attacked by an unrestrained neighborhood dog while we were walking. The dog came out of a residence that looked like it had been abandoned years ago, but someone came running out to get the dog.
The neighborhood didn't feel unsafe (other than the dog situation), but it wasn't a great vibe.
The house was nice, but it needs more comfortable seating. The living room needs recliners, and the TV is hung too high for comfort. The sunroom/playroom a a wonderful space, but it needs a sofa and TV. Also disappointed that there were no dish cloths or dish towels to do the dishes, but it did have a dishwasher. We were unable to regulate the temperature. We froze downstairs and roasted upstairs. The location was convenient to town, and it had a nice river view. It had lots of space for our family; plenty of tables for eating and plenty of bathrooms too.
House is spacious with good views of the river. Very clean with lots of amenities. Great as base camp for outdoor activities in Nantahala, Deep Creek and Bryson City.
