Life’s a beach—at least, it should be! We designed our home to be a cool, tranquil space where you can reconnect with friends and family members on the Gulf Coast. We have a total of four balconies, each with plenty of seating and amazing water views.
Whimsical touches, like barstools sitting atop giant springs or rare driftwood hanging on wall, paired with natural materials help create the perfect “at-the-beach” vibe without the kitsch.
WHAT'S COOKING?
Everything from post-beach lunch for the little ones and locally sourced ceviche are a snap to prep in our gourmet kitchen. Two can sit at the bar and eight can dine at the table (use the available bench to seat even more). Or head out to the balcony for an al fresco feast.
GAME TIME
Two chaise lounge sectional sofas in the living room means everyone can find a seat for a beach-movie marathon. Or spread out to watch your favorite shows—there are five flat screen TVs in the house plus all with 140 plus channels.
Pull out the board games, or gather around the karaoke machine and introduce your kids to your favorite eighties hair bands. They might not appreciate your vocals, but they’ll love learning how to head bang.
DREAM A LITTLE DREAM
One of the most underrated parts of any vacation is sweet, sweet slumber.
On the first floor, kids will love snuggling down in the two twin-over-full bunks. Or they can choose to slumber in the living room ( three pull-out sleepers ).
On the second floor, two guest rooms (one with a queen and a full bed and another with a king) share a furnished balcony.
The nearby master retreat lives up to its name. Relax on the private balcony and take in a breathtaking sunset or do a little bird watching. Sink into the freestanding soaking tub in the en suite bathroom. Then retreat to the king bed.
THE LITTLE THINGS
Kids change clothes approximately 671 times a day, especially on a beach vacation, so we’ve included a washer and dryer. When it’s time to clean up for a special dinner out, we provide you with a blow dryer ( available in every bathrooms ) and ironing board. We also offer complimentary WiFi.
No need to pack all the kids gear! We have two Ciao! portable high chairs—perfect for kitchen, dining room, or balcony. When you’re headed to the beach, don’t forget the Summer Infant Pop N’ Play to shade your littlest guests from the sun. A quick jog with your little one with two jogging strollers. We also have two baby cribs w/ mattress for your precious one.
WATER WORLD
Our home sits on the tip of Galveston Island, so you’ll enjoy wide-open panoramic views of the Gulf or Bay from every side. That also means you’re a quick walk to some of the island’s best fishing spots, including the backyard pond.
At the clubhouse, you’ll find a hot tub and an infinity pool that practically spills into the Gulf. For those who dream of floating in a lazy river, we’ve got one of those, too.
Time to hit the sand? Just head through the tunnel under the road and you’re at the beach. When you return, wash off in the outdoor shower before heading upstairs to relax.
