Terrible Condo

The Condo was so nasty and we had to buy stuff the clean it up! The appliances didn’t work right and need to be replaced. The furniture was falling apart. Not happy at all this year with our vacation condo.

Nice place on the beach

Easy access to the beach. Nice pool, hot tub, and sauna. 3 comfortable king size beds, kids room, nice ice maker, had plenty of dishes, silverware, cookware, and bakeware.

Dirty and overpriced

Very dirty, unit has been used and abused. Unsturdy furniture,no icemaker, husband had to repair froze up AC unit. Lighting was so bad could barely see in the rooms. Food under couch, food on cookware. Size of unit was great but about it. Most expensive unit we have paid for over the years and was by far the worst. Was so disappointed. The building itself was very nice, our unit 303, not so much. Even the decor was so random and just looked bad. For the price expected 5 star, it was a 2 at best. Stayed at cleaner motel 8's than this place.

Great condo, But……

The condo had a great setup with the bedrooms. Decor was nice and kitchen well stocked. However, it really needed a good cleaning. If you were barefoot had on white socks, they turned black. Lots of dust and dirty baseboards, etc. We have stayed in several different condos at The Colonades because we love the complex. But, have booked somewhere else for next year.

Spacious/kid friendly condo

This condo was so lovely! There were 13 of us and 7 of those being kids ranging from 7-15yrs old. Having multiple bathrooms was a huge plus. We were so close to the beach and the pool. One downside is having the pool/hot tub right below the condo was the constant running of the hot tub and hearing the people down there but it’s definitely no reason not to book this place. Vacasa was quick to respond to any needs. The condo had everything we needed and more! It even had an ice maker separate from the refrigerator/freezer so no trips back and forth to the store to keep your drinks cold on the beach!!

The condo was very spacious and the beach is beautiful. The only cons were the balcony view and parking. The balcony has a patio in front of it that makes it difficult to see the beach. Parking only allows 2 vehicles and we had to park our 3rd at the Meyer Office property a few minutes away. We feel that renting a condo with 4 rooms should allow more parking.

Great Family Getaway

The location on the beach is excellent. Easy walk to the restaurants and bars. This condo was perfect for our group of 6 adults and 6 children. It was great to have a kids room with attached bath. The set up of 3 rooms with king beds and the bunk bed room worked so well. The condo was very clean and well decorated. Kitchen was nicely supplied. The ninja blender came in handy for frozen beach drinks. Some days the elevator was really busy. It was simple to walk down from the 3rd floor and out to the beach. The beach is private with secured access. Always plenty of room at the beach for our family group. We highly recommend this condo and we will be staying here again.

Beach Front is priceless

The location is great. Just walk out and there is the beach. Perfect for family gatherings. The condo layout of three rooms with king beds and a kids bunk room was perfect for our family. The stand alone ice maker came in very useful. The decor is perfect. The location was perfect. Easy beach walks to restaurants, the hang out, and the Alabama state park resort. We highly recommend this family oriented condo.

Our family (5 Adults, 5 Children) really enjoyed our stay at the Colonnades #303. There were plenty of rooms/beds to accommodate us. The kids and grandkids really liked the bunk beds and being so close to the beach. We all enjoyed the pool and hot tub on-site as well as how the unit is decorated. We would definitely book the Colonnades #303 again!

October Family Trip

Beds were very comfortable and the reclining living room sectional was great for relaxing. The layout of the condo was great for 3 adult couples plus grandkids. But if you want a great view from the balcony, DO NOT rent this condo. The view is almost completely blocked by the awning covering the pool area.

Great condo

This condo was spacious and clean, lots of amenities including an ice maker which came in very handy. Loved that it was close to the beach and near the park,, it was less busy on that part of the beach.. Beds were comfortable. Large kitchen, and seating. Pool was cleaned every day. Only a few things that were lacking, which included only one working elevator at the time. We had several days of rain and they never shut the roof of the pool, not sure if it didn't work or what but that would have been a nice place to hang out during the rain. And only 2 parking passes, wish you could purchase another. It is very hard to pack all of the people/things into 2 vehicles for a 4 bedroom condo.

Great vacation rental!

The home was in excellent condition and had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. The private access to the beach and pool area was very nice. The only negative things I can mention is the intermittent elevator service and the hot tub not working. Overall, this is an excellent place to enjoy your stay.
