About this property

Classic small cape farmhouse originally built in the 1860s. Located on the site of a water powered mill, with an old barn. House has been modernized inside but retains its classic appearance. Private location on a town road just minutes from interstate and downtown Brattleboro. A privacy fence blocks the road from one side of the house, the other side of the house has a very private yard surrounded by woods and a brook. Just upstream is a waterfall, and the ruins of the old water powered mill.

AMAZING!

A VRBO property that totally lived up to its description - except that didn't mention the wonderfully quiet nights for sleeping. A big bonus. In an unexpected heatwave the owners rallied with fans. Perfection could only be with the adition of bedroom ceiling fans The location is ideal for both countryside bimbles and Brattleborough visits. The house, its lovingly shared mixture of contents, and the grounds fill any spare time. Loved it.

VT Farm House

We enjoyed our stay very much. The property was clean and well appointed. It was very relaxing with the sounds of the rushing brook. Location was great and convenient to everything. We would stay here again.
