Lake Arrowhead Rental

Enjoyed our stay at Lake Arrowhead. Fred/ Owner was very prompt and easy to communicate with. The unit was open and spacious. It was nice to relax each day with our dogs after a day of dock diving. We enjoyed the deck and fire pit area. It was also nice to have the area fenced off the daylight basement to stage the dogs to leash up and exercise. We definitely got our exercise with the stairs to the basement and stairs to the backyard. It is a quiet area with lovely views. The kitchen is well equipt and if you want to go out to eat or grocery shop all are within a 15-20 minute drive. We understand there is a Grill on location as well as other amenities we did not utilize. Overall an enjoyable 4 days.

Lake Stay

Spacious and quiet with a kitchen and outdoor amenities. Hiking trails, dog park, kayaks, and direct lake access were great for us. There are some minor maintenance/cleaning issues (trees growing in gutters, dusty fans, trash under the bed, etc). Bring your own shampoo (soap and conditioner provided) and you may have to refill propane for the grill. Reach out to Pete before you go to learn about the amenities (or read the lake website); cell service is spotty and there's no info on amenities left for you to read up on at the house.

Georgia Lake House

My family had a great week at the house. We kayaked and paddle boarded all over the lake. We brought our 2 dogs and went on daily hikes on the trails around, swam at the pool, played golf, made smores, and enjoyed drinks and talks on the porches. There were plenty of beds and everything was clean and comfortable for our stay.

Perfect Location

The host was very courteous and helpful. The home was clean and spacious. The location was excellent. The house is on a lake with an excellent view. The amenities and surroundings were perfect. Overall a very relaxing and quiet atmosphere.

Beautiful Quite place

Gorgeous area with plenty to do and not to far to shop for your needs. Pete was an amazing host, very responsive to our needs. We are family of 3 adult kids and 1 grandchild, there was plenty of room. Oh and pet friendly. Thank you Pete

Family friendly bachelor trip

This was a great house for our boys weekend. We enjoyed the kayaks. While visiting we went to Garland Mountain and had a ball! Property owner was very nice and informative. I asked lots of questions prior to booking and he was very patient with me. He also provides activity recommendations if you want them. Great property on the lake that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Overall it was a great stay and we’d definitely love to come back!

so much fun

we enjoyed our stay so much. from the beginning Pete was very helpful and very communicative. the place is a cute little home in the foothills of Lake Arrowhead. Also right on the lake. we saw so many deer on a daily basis. They were just everywhere. Plenty of room for a family or two to spend the holidays together. My family and I will definitely be coming back and staying here again. We loved it.

Our overall stay was as expected. Enjoyed the firepit by the lake and time spent on the water. Lots of hiking which the site was recommended by the owner and we took advantage of it. Overall, a very enjoyable weekend.

Nice but not kept up

Pro's: The house is nice. It is big and has plenty of space. Kayaking was nice as well and the community surround it is quiet. Con's: the house is not kept up properly. The main bedroom was kissing half the slats on the blinds for the sliding glass door, so absolutely no privacy there. The beds were covered in plastic mattress protectors, which I get, but makes for a lousy nights sleep. Full size beds, not queens. My husband and i ended up sleep separate most of the week. The sofas are meant to recline, but the plugs had been removed. Refrigerator door shelves were all missing. The yard is a hill and only a hill, the street side is just a parking pad, which is nearly impossible to get into unless you're in an SUV or truck. Do not take a van! There were also some minor damages to the house, nothing major, but still.

Very nice, no frills lake house

This is not a deluxe lake house as noted by other reviews and the owner, and it does show a bit of age. But, the beds were comfy, the kitchen is very large and has good assortment of utensils, and we enjoyed the use of the kayaks. The location inside the resort is very convenient - just about in the middle between the north and south guard gates. And, only about a mile from the park/pool. Our family enjoyed the stay and we would stay here again.

This property is a great weekend getaway for Atlanta & Surrounding area

We were there for 3 nights. Spent most of the time outside on the dock. There is a nice fir pit for chilly evenings. Water is shallow around the dock. Host has kayaks that we were able to use to go out on the lake. Lake arrow head is a private community so crowding was not an issue. Overall we had a very good time there. The host was helpful in providing information about the local area. Property manager was sending quick response to our questions.

A wonderful location

A wonderful location, peaceful and quiet. The home is well equipped and comfortable. A value at any price. Right on the lake with a deck overlooking a quiet cove. Our family enjoyed our time at Lake Arrowhead.

Perfect dog-friendly lake house

This is not a luxury home, but it is perfect for a lake getaway with the dogs. This house has everything you need (except a blender). We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this house to anyone who just wants to enjoy the lake and a fire. We had no problems finding or accessing the house. Everything worked and all was very clean except for some dog hair on the stairs but we brought a dog too so it wasn't a big deal. We were very comfortable. We kayaked and hiked and built a fire each evening at sunset with a cocktail. Very relaxing! I liked that I could bring my pet and I loved the price of this lake house! I grew up a member of Lake Arrowhead Country Club and lived in a house across the street from this one. It was nice to be back and enjoy this private lake again.

great cabin, but incomplete posted information re access to gated community and parking

I rented this cabin for a groom and groomsmen for a weekend wedding. Access to the gated community of Lake Arrowhead as well as access to the cabin was required to use the cabin. Was not informed until cabin was paid for that only 3 vehicles were allowed in driveway for 10 expected guests. Was required to sign contract on the day of access when full payment for rental was made weeks in advance - this detail should have been done days if not weeks before. Nice property, but owner very sloppy on important details and access. Get ALL THE DETAILS before you rent this property and save yourself some headaches.

Great stay on beautiful lake!

We had a great time at the lake house! The house had everything we needed. We kayaked, fished, and enjoyed the view! Would love to come back, stay longer, and also get out on the lake with the pontoon boat.
