I stayed for 6 nights, figuring out the TV’s were frustrating, the room is conveniently located near parking garage. Locating a luggage rack was next to impossible. I was traveling alone for the first time ever. So the multiple trips to carryall of my luggage and groceries was a big chore.

I would return.
Right by the beach but not fancy. There are lot of things to do at the beach within walking distance. We are overall pleased with the place location. That said, this place was advertised as a villa. It’s not a villa, just condominium apartments. Huge difference!. I would have not booked it for the price I paid knowing it was a condo. Vrbo fee was also quite high. Vrbo claimed you’d get one free activity every day with your stay. There was only one activity available and it was just one ticket what we would get. That was also misleading. So in a nutshell. The location is very nice. The Villa is actually a condo and it’s just ok. The description of what you get was very misleading . The vacation was good but I’m extremely unlikely to use Vrbo again due to these facts.

Just what we needed!
Cozy was a perfect description of this unit. It reminded me of an NYC apartment (with a better view). I was hoping for more of a view, but from the balcony, we could see both the bay and the Gulf in the distance. Even though there was a nearby tornado (which we slept through), the weather was, for the most part, beautiful. A nice breeze kept the temperature down, so being outside was enjoyable. It was a last-minute getaway for us and just what we needed.

Location was great. All the pools except two were freezing. The room was pretty small for four people. I would recommend 2-3. The pull out couch was very uncomfortable and old. It was nice they had toiletries, towels and linens. Lots of families around. Loved the balcony.

This property has everything you need, just bring your suitcase and order your groceries. It is a short walk thru the Gulf side area to the super soft beaches with spectacular water. Walking distance ( a parking lot away) from multiple dining options, gift shops, gelato shop & coffee shop as well as the boardwalk. The host helped us with everything we needed and responded very quickly, also checking back in after the fact. We plan on staying here again! Thanks for a wonderful trip and thanks Russ & Beverly for everything!

Exactly what we were looking for!
We stayed here for a mommy/daughter beach trip, and it was exactly what we were hoping for! An easy walk to the beach, which was immaculately cared for & clean, and a short walk as well as to the pools on the bay side. Only an 8-10 minute Uber to the Destin HarborWalk, the villa had everything promised in the listing, and we were very comfortable. Having a kitchen was a huge help in making sure we were eating healthy meals in between trips to the water. The only real challenge we encountered was a lack of a space to store luggage between check-out and our flight that evening, so I'd recommend either booking your flight earlier in the day, or snagging a day pass at the resort next door as they'll store luggage for you while you enjoy the pool or beach :) We'll definitely be staying again, and my 3 year old already calls it "our holiday house". Huge thanks to Sugar Sands for making this a memorable vacation for my little one & I!

The condo was the perfect amount of space for my husband & I! The unit had everything we needed except a washer & dryer (and Destin West doesn’t have any machines you can use, either, so you have to use a local laundromat). The condo was clean & comfortable, however, and a great location for the beach!
