PLEASE READ -
Due to Hurricane Helene Asheville City Water has a water advisory.

If you plan to use water for drinking, cooking, or any other form of ingestion (including brushing teeth), please boil it vigorously for at least one minute beforehand. Come and enjoy the historic Atkinson Suite of Inn on Westwood which is located in the heart of funky West Asheville. West Asheville is known for its hip, vintage, and laid-back vibe, with local restaurants serving up comfort food, music venues booking up-and-coming acts, and shops filled with yet-to-be-discovered treasures.

All are very walkable and friendly. This private vacation home listed on the National Register of Historic Places was built in the 1870s and converted into an Inn in 2014. Full of special touches, it features 13-foot ceilings, arched double doors, and beautiful crown molding. Rooms are spacious and filled with light from the grand, original floor-to-ceiling windows.

Enjoy the private, covered back porch with your morning coffee, or watch the sunset over the mountains with an evening cocktail. The Atkinson Suite has one king-size bed and one full-size bed sleeping a total of four people.

The Atkinson features a spacious and comfortable living room, a large dining room, a gourmet fully-appointed chef's kitchen, two peaceful bedrooms, a period-correct and historically renovated ultra-modern bathroom, a shared front porch with rocking chairs, and a private covered back porch.

Amenities - The home is fully stocked for your vacation needs with complimentary tea and coffee, red and white wine, beer, granola bars, chocolate, and a chef's kitchen ready for you to use. Enjoy plush towels, bathrobes, and our Aveda bath products.

A hairdryer, make-up wipes, iron, ironing board, coat hangers, and wireless Internet are available. The Inn uses Pristine Clean for its cleaning services and all-natural cleaning products.

Outdoors Enjoy a game of cornhole or use the fire pit for roasting marshmallows on cool mountain evenings. The over one-acre grassy backyard is available for any outdoor activities you would like to enjoy.

We want you to enjoy your stay in Asheville, unplug, and unwind. Therefore, there are no TVs at the Inn but there is the ultimate high-speed wireless internet service.

House Rules No smoking or vaping in the house. No TVs at the house so you can unwind and relax. For the comfort of all guests staying in the Inn in either the Atkinson Suite or the Bennett Suite, quiet hours are observed between 10 pm and 7 am.

There is NO on-site laundry or daily cleaning services. For guests enjoying extended stays, we provide additional towels upon request. Children are always welcome, but unfortunately, we cannot accept pets.

Interaction with Guests We are always available for questions, recommendations, emergencies, etc. While each suite is completely separate and very private, be aware that this is an Inn, and unless you rent the entire house expect to hear some possible noise from other guests next door.

These are two completely separate units/suites, each having its own kitchens, dining rooms, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, etc. The only shared portion is the large covered old-fashioned front porch.

The Neighborhood - The Inn is located in the heart of the thriving community of West Asheville. There are a dozen bars, breweries, coffee shops, farm-to-table restaurants, and cute and quirky shops all within walking distance. It is only two miles from downtown Asheville or South Slope and a half-mile from New Belgium Brewing.

Reserving Both Suites- If you're interested in reserving both the Atkinson Suite and Bennett Suite please state this in your inquiry. There are large ten-foot-tall arched double doors that we open so you and your guests may freely go between suites.

Looking for some pampering? De La Terre Skincare offers several treatments in its store near the River Arts District. Check out the local farmer's market or bike along the French Broad River Park's many paved paths. It is a very family-friendly neighborhood.

Getting Around - Asheville has a bus system, taxis, Uber, Lyft, sidewalks, and many bike racks to help you get around in your preferred style. The Inn has easy access to the interstate and local attractions. Westwood Inn
The Inn was beautiful and the back porch had an awesome view of the Mountains. Manager and Owner went above and beyond to ensure a nice stay. Small local restaurants and coffee shops are in walking distance from the Inn. There are large pockets of homeless that do linger and settle in the area near the shops/restaurants in addition to the city itself. Inn Location is near many points of interest. Overall, we really enjoyed our time there and all that Asheville has to offer!

Large, beautiful, and great location
Only place we’d want to stay when coming back to Asheville. We loved the attention to detail and amenities they provided. Great ownership and management. Comfortable bed. The location was within 15 minutes of everything we wanted to do and there are the best restaurants in a mile radius!

Charming old Asheville home
Huge space, well appointed with thoughtful extras. Had a lovely time catching up with an old friend. Watched a sunset over the mountains from the covered back deck and a full moon rise from the front porch. A very comfortable place to stay.

The perfect vrbo!
The photos don't do the space justice! The unit is so spacious and the kitchen is super well equipped if you want to cook at home. We used the space to also get ready for my wedding, and everyone commented on how beautiful it was. So much is walkable from the home as well, and it is in a charming neighborhood. Don't miss out!

Charming historic property with view of mountains
Large, bright, cozy, tastefully decorated. Fantastic deck and back yard with views of mountains. The hosts thoughtfully stocked the kitchen with key staples - wine and coffee! While we did not walk to local shops, it is definitely walkable to nearby shops/restaurants. Very clean and high quality linens/bath amenities. I would definitely book again!

Love This Place
This gem of a rental was perfect for our stay in Asheville. We enjoyed getting away from the downtown scene at night for its quiet lazy mornings on the back deck with a mountain view. The entire unit is thoughtfully appointed with the comfort and convenience of guests in mind: clean robes, premium linens, quality items in the kitchen and bath. Restaurants & shops are within walking distance. A riverside commercial area is a two-minute drive away. Downtown is an easy 6minute commute. Note: This unit is in an Inn with two rental spaces. Sound does travel between units so observing quite hours after 10:00 PM is essential. This was not a problem for us but good to know before booking. We will likely stay here again on another trip to Asheville.

Excellent stay!
This home is gorgeous, well maintained, clean, organized and provides all necessities. Having a no TV was not a problem with all the books available, and being situated closely to many attractions. We visited the pinball museum, Biltmore, Chimney Rock, a few great restaurants and coffee shops all in 4 days. Check in and our was smooth. Highly recommended!!

65 Celebration
Absolutely loved our stay. BFF’s celebrating our 65th birthday’s. No tv, NO problem - we wanted to escape for a few days. Sheets, bath linens were divine. Once we arrived and settled in, we opened our first bottle of complimentary wine - the perfect start to our mini vacation. Coffee on the deck each morning, wine in the evening - beautiful, peaceful spot. Lots of spectacular restaurants close by. Hope to return and rent both units for my family!

Gorgeous house
We loved our stay at the Westwood Place. It was very spacious and had all we needed (except for a hair dryer that we were OK without) and lots of goodies for us to enjoy. We truly appreciated the extra touch of having beer, wine, and chocolates to enjoy which we did on the evenings on the porch or our parlor. The towels and robes were very nice too. There is no TV, but we did not miss it. Definitely the place to stay in Asheville. Perfect!

Beautiful, very comfortable
We enjoyed our stay in the Atkinson suite of the Inn at Westwood Place. Home was well-maintained, clean and very comfortable with good quality sheets, towels and all kitchen ware. Closet, cupboard were spacious and had plenty of hangers. The complimentary water, wine, snacks were nice touch. We enjoyed our stay in this historic home with character, liked the antique furnishings and the charming old world feel. Neighborhood was quiet and in easy driving distance to Biltmore, Asheville downtown. We enjoyed our stay here.

Amazing Property
My fiancé and I had a wonderful stay in the Atkinson Suite. Very large rooms to spread out in, super clean and so much character. Evenings spent in rocking chairs on the back porch watching sunsets, thunderstorms and fireflies were the highlight. Walking distance to almost everything you need. One of the nicest, most interesting vacation rentals we've stayed in and we highly recommend it. Darlene (property manager) was great to work with. When our departure flight was cancelled she was a big help in extending our stay a night.

a charming, spacious home
The Inn at Westwood Place was even lovelier than we expected from the photos -- full of light, character, history, and thoughtful touches. Given that we were there for a week, we appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, fluffy towels, and all the room to spread out, especially the front and back porches which are perfect for morning coffee and afternoons of reading in the sun. The communication was stellar, we were welcomed with wine, water, snacks, and even an orchid on the table, and when the coffee maker malfunctioned it was replaced within hours. We will definitely stay here every time we visit Asheville.

Comfort and Peace
Our stay at this property was very comfortable. We were in town to celebrate my daughter's 40th birthday. The home is beautifully kept. It was a pleasant surprise to find a case of water bottles already in the refrigerator, nice bottles of red and white wine and delicious coffee and teas. The location was close to many wonderful food options and downtown explorations. Communication with the property manager was excellent! My only suggestion for the home would be to have luggage racks available but we made due using chairs. I would definitely stay again.
