“Lantana Cottage” is a quiet and secluded home away from home. The screened in porch allows one to relax and watch the bay. Guests have been known to see dolphins, herons, pelicans and sea gulls. Some favorites activities include fishing, crabbing, and throwing the cast net off the private pier. Or, cuddle up next to the fireplace with your pets. The lot across the street is part of this rental, so you never have to worry about parking. Less than 20 min to Gulf Shores beaches and 40 min to Fairhope.

Third time staying and it felt like home
This was our third time staying at Lantana Cottage, and it feels like coming home. The bay is so beautiful, and the property is very peaceful. The air conditioner went out on our second day there, but Rachel was so attentive and got us taken care of by the next morning. Very responsive! We will definitely return!

Refreshing
This is our second stay at the Lantana Cottage. The cottage was clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We saw dolphins, pelicans, and herons. Our greyhound enjoyed his morning walks in the neighborhood. One of the homeowners has greyhounds and has become a friend with my wife .Rachel is a great communicator and responds quickly on any questions you have before your arrival.

Loved it!
We loved our stay! It was such a relaxing home. My boys enjoyed fishing off the dock. They caught a sea trout, several catfish, mullet, and even a small shark! Enjoyed watching the crab pots through the week and had some to eat our last night. The home was well stocked with everything we could need. Couldn’t ask for a better place!

Great place❤️
We all absolutely loved the cottage and hope to come back again! We had crab traps out the entire week and had a good boil our last night with over 20 crabs & my husband grilled several red fish he caught in the surrounding area. We brought all of our kayaks and enjoyed the paddle time & going over to the little beachy area of the bayou for the kids & for some solitude. The house is nice & tidy & just what we needed!

We went there to just to relax for a few days after some cancer treatment. It rained every day :-) but we were able just to take it easy be back this was our second trip.

Just Amazing
What a wonderful place to decompress. Love the decor, mid-century modern meets beachcomber. Clean, well-stocked, superb view of the bay. Fish weren't biting, but crabbing was fruitful. There are many activities, restaurants and seafood markets in the area. Hostess is a gem!

I gave Lantana Cottage a 5 star rating because it is exactly as seen in the pictures and better. Easy to check in, beautiful views and a very beachy feeling with all the beautiful decoration through out the house. My wife and I would not hesitate to stay at Lantana Cottage again.

We loved loved this little cottage! Great lot and views! Back screened porch is much larger than pic shows, plenty seating on porch. Note: There IS a second working half bath in detached garage with washer n dryer not mentioned in listing.

OUTSTANDING!!!
The property is just what is described and even better in person. We spent 2 days at the beach and relaxed every night on the screened in porch. Dolphins, herons, pelicans, and we had a Great Horned Owl observe us on one of our daily walks down Council Ln. Rachel is one great communicator and kept updated prior to the trip and the day of arrival. Thank you, Rachel! We will return the same time next year.

It's very comfortable and homey. It's not right on the beach, but just a short drive to Ft. Morgan beaches or a 20 min drive to Gulf Shores..

Fantastic views
Loved the improvements, but loved the view as much as always. This is our third stay here and hated leaving this time. We love the porch more then you can imagine. Perf for coffee, breakfast, and dinner. Watched thunderstorms and dolphins. Not to mention the various other wildlife. Love love love.

Second stay as great as the first!
This was our second stay here and we instantly felt at home. The view is amazing and so relaxing. The weather was a bit cooler and windier than when we came in August, so my husband didn't get to fish as much as he'd have liked, but other than that, everything was perfect!

My wife and I spent our 6th anniversary here with our pups and couldnt have been happier. If you want beautiful views, quiet seclusion, off the beaten path, and disappear, this is your place. We will be back and I will also be stalking Zillow hoping this home is listed for sale! If not, then we will be back ASAP

Short weekend getaway
The property was basically as described. Everything was clean upon arrival and stocked (except small bath towels but maybe I just didn’t look hard enough) plenty of big bath towels and extra sheets if needed. Quite and loved to sit at the pier and see the dolphins. House is older but again you can tell that from pictures. Would say maybe add a tv in bedrooms but with the view that wasn’t necessary.

Very picturesque; quite & away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. We loved it & so did our 8 pound Shih Tzu. She loved the private pier. Beautiful wildlife, sunsets, beaches nearby. The cottage is roomy, well stocked; & comfy. We only used the one bedroom. We ate breakfast and lunch on the enclosed porch. It was perfect for us! Our only complaint was that we had to go back home.

Loved this place!!!
My husband, daughter,and I came here for a family vacation for 4 days and 3 nights. We had the best time and the view was absolutely gorgeous from the kitchen and porch! My daughter loved the way her room was laid out with her own little “cubby hole “ that she called it with a window over looking the water. She said it was so cozy! The only complaints that we had, was the shower did not seem clean and definately needed a upgrade. It was very hard to take a good shower with the way the shower head was positioned for my 6’4” husband to use. Also, if you have small children it is almost impossible to bathe them if they are too little to take showers because there is no tub. We also noticed that the window seals looked like they had not been cleaned or wiped down in several months because of all the dirt and dead bugs. The positive definately outweighed the negative and we can’t wait to come back! Everything was decorated so cute and cozy. The beds were also very comfortable and we all slept great. Thanks for making our family vacation one to remember!
