Beautiful Oceanfront Villa with Salt Chlorinated Lap Pool!

Sit back and relax to the sound of the waves crashing below while gazing out over the expansive island view in the privacy of our newly renovated oceanfront home on Coral Bay's south end! The Maison Miele Pool House is the perfect place for couples to relax and escape from the stresses of daily life. Enjoy the 30' salt chlorinated lap pool, walk the expansive gardens or just sit by the pool listening to the sound of wind and waves. Birders will enjoy watching the variety of sea birds and raptors who frequent the property.

The property is located on Sabbat Point on Coral Bay's south side and is perched on a rock cliff 70' above the ocean below. Built on one level for easy access, our island home directly faces the cooling trade winds. For the rare occasion when there are no breezes, the Pool House is completely air conditioned for your comfort and convenience. The estate road Is a flat, short drive to the camera monitored roadside parking area. With no direct neighbors and the main house on the property will not be occupied during your stay, you are sure to have complete privacy during your stay!

When you are ready to venture out, Miss Lucy's is about 1/4 mile from the Pool House so it is an easy walk for those who want to dine and drink ocean side. All the restaurants and bars in Coral Bay are located about a 3 mile drive from the property on the main road and Cruz Bay is about 25 minutes away. The closest beach and hiking is at Salt Pond and Ram Head that is just under a mile away and can be walked from the house for those looking for some extra exercise! The Lameshur beaches and trail head to Reef Bay are about 3 miles away. The beaches and snorkeling in all these areas is excellent and typically not as crowded.

The Pool House comes equipped with full size kitchen, gas grill, king sized bed, full bath and water views and breezes from every window. We have most amenities you will need for your stay including coolers, beach towels, beach chairs, linens, etc. (see full list under amenities).

Beautifully furnished in comfortable island style, this lovely and private villa is cozy, welcoming and provides the perfect vacation spot for couples young and old. Peace and serenity awaits you at the Maison Miele Pool House!

Perfect spot

This rental is lovely. Had everything we could possibly need (except maybe a hammock). The pool house had everything to cook or grill every meal if we wanted, including spices, oil, balsamic vinegar, coffee, condiments in the refrigerator, everything you'd need for the beach (no umbrella, but none needed on St. John due to all of the trees on every beach). Communication with the host was perfect and easy - they made sure we had everything we needed and that we were happy and settled in. The goats and donkeys outside the property were entertaining every day and the views cannot compare to anything else. Every day, we woke up with the sun, had coffee, packed lunch and went hiking; then to a beach and then back to the pool and property to hang out in the sun there - it was perfect. We had never been to St. John and we will be back and we will definitely rent the pool house again, for the two of us. Perfect trip! And for the review that said the property "needs cleanup" - it would be impossible to keep the flowers off of the pathways and out of the pool unless there was a caretaker there twice a day - which would then defeat the purpose of the private rental... the trade winds blow the flowers off the bushes each day - the property is pristine and well maintained! Thanks for being a great host, Chris! We will be back when we visit again.

Cozy villa

The location is great, very private and quiet. The vila was easy to find and the rises and sunsets were gorgeous!! The property and pool could use some clean up, but the villa was clean and perfect for one or two people.

Plenty of Privacy

We really enjoyed our stay on the quiet side of the island. Lots of amenities nearby and the beaches are just a short drive away. Chris was very responsive when we had questions during our stay and the Pool House was the perfect private getaway for my husband and I.

Perfect honeymoon spot!

This was a dream honeymoon spot/property for my wife and I! The property was very clean and exactly as advertised. The views were amazing. And the countless baby goats roaming the cliffside kept things interesting. The pool was also very clean and added a nice change of pace when needing to cool off. We'd love to stay here again someday!

Perfect Private Getaway for Two

We loved our recent stay at the Miele Maison pool house. Amazing views from the house and decks. We especially enjoyed beautiful moonrises over the water. It is nicely decorated and the owners have supplied many thoughtful vacation needs … beach chairs, beach towels, coolers. freezer pacs, first aid kit, a very well stocked kitchen, and pool floats! Loved the lap pool, we used it for morning, afternoon and evening swims. The short, bumpy dirt road to the home was no trouble at all for our rental Jeep. The pool house is very close to a larger home that was unoccupied during our stay. The landscaping includes a nice variety of beautiful flowers. It is a short drive to Salt Pond Bay & the Ram Head Trail or into Coral Bay which has several local restaurants. We tried Surf Club Cantina, Skinny Legs, Miss Lucy’s, The Salty Mongoose, Love City Cafe and loved them all! Miele Maison is the perfect private getaway for two near Coral Bay.

Private perfection

We spent a lot of time exploring the island (which is amazing is every way), but always found ourselves anxious to get back to the privacy and comfort of the pool house. The views are spectacular. It's the perfect place for a couple to get away from it all.

Awesome Private Ocean Views

The property was as described , wonderful! We loved waking up to the sunrise up over Tortola. Great breezes blowing to keep you cool. The kitchen is well stocked with most anything you would need to cook dinner, which we did a couple of nights.

Beautiful Place in St John

The Maison Miele Pool House is the perfect place for couples! It has everything you need to have a great vacation in St John. The pictures do not do the house and grounds justice. It has dramatic views and all the comforts. The private pool is a big plus.

Amazing Secluded Villa

This little villa packed a big punch! From the incredible views and privacy, this villa is just what we were looking for! It was the perfect size for my husband and I. Most amazing views and ultimate privacy!

If you are looking for a ultra private retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life, look no further than this amazing home. It has it all - private pool, full kitchen, lounge chairs, and friendly iguanas that roam the landscape. This home's proximity to the ocean is amazing - sitting just above the water, the sound of waves crashing against the rocks is incredibly relaxing. It is a bit of a hike from St Thomas. You need to take the ferry to St John and drive across the island, but the trip is totally worth it!

Quiet, peaceful and beautiful views

My husband and I had an incredible time. We hiked everyday, following by a swim and snorkel. We gave home early to enjoy the pool and deck. Property was as described. Pool was cool and clean. Highly recommend.

Great Views, Perfect Location

Wonderful location near Coral Bay - quieter side of St. John which is what we were looking for. Restaurants were nearby and great with very few crowds. Easy access to many National Park beaches on the south side of the island as well as a short drive to the north shore gems. The pool house is perfect for a couple with great views to the southeast and always a nice breeze to keep you cool. It was very clean with everything we needed. There are beach chairs, beach bag, medium size cooler, and beach towels for your perfect beach day. Be sure to save time for the pool each day which is wonderful and private. Hosts were awesome and very responsive but we rarely needed them.

Great place for ..2..people..very glad we stayed at Coral Bay..luv the 24 hr. Ocean music...pool was great accept for last day..too green to use...hoping owners replaced the beach chairs..they were on there last leg.....owner Chris was very helpful with our ck. In...We enjoyed St.John...will move on to another island for our next visit...Very surprised how dry the island was...that is what happens with no rain in 2 months ..

Our time at Maison Miele was incredible. The pictures on VRBO are are exactly what you see upon your arrival, however, it’s even better when you see it in person……10x’s better. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic anniversary week!

My wife and I had a wonderful week at Maison Miele and St John. Second visit to St John but it’s been 13 years. The island still has such a chill vibe. So glad to see they’ve recovered from the awful hurricanes in 2017. As for Maison Miele, just incredible! 100% as advertised. Everything you need is there. Unbelievable privacy and views and gardens. Staying on the east side at Coral Bay is well worth it. Easy drive back to Cruz Bay to spend some time in town. The goat herd parade from down the beach to by the house every afternoon was awesome! We recommend signing on for provisioning from Landlubbers to fill the fridge! Top off provisions later at Love City Market/Cafe. Yes on Skinny Legs, Salty Mongoose, and Miss Lucy’s and Homemade Meals to Go. Maho Beach to snorkel with the sea turtles indeed a must. Hit the beaches early and have them to yourselves. I could go on. Just go here. :)

The view was everything!

Property was just as described. Accommodations were very comfortable. Kitchen has everything we needed and the real draw for this property is the view and sound of the waves breaking right below the property. Really enjoyed the privacy and the pool after spending the day at the beach. We would definitely return.

Loved it!

The property was nicely landscaped and the ocean view unforgettable! Villa was clean and very well appointed, with everything needed to cook meals, and many welcoming amenities. It felt like our own home away from home! We will always treasure watching the sun rise over the horizon from our comfy deck chairs, and gazing at the starl lit sky from the pool! Wonderful

A perfect vacation for a couple. Unbelievable sunrise views with coffee in the morning. A different hiking and snorkeling adventure everyday and each spot seemed better than the previous day's location. Great beach bars and restaurants. Evenings by the pool as the breeze cooled you down, then a million stars in the sky at night. We can't wait to return.

When we planned our first trip to St John we had no idea what an impact this special place would have on our lives. Four years later we were married on Cinnamon Bay at sunset. Now here we are 20 years later working to make our new island home a special place for you, our Guests, to enjoy and help make your stay on St John as memorable and impactful as ours was long ago!

Why they chose this property

We have made so many wonderful friends and positive experiences through the ownership of our first island home (Sun, Moon & Stars Villa) that we decided to do it again! When Maison Miele came on the market for sale damaged from hurricanes Irma and Maria we knew we had to find a way to make it happen and restore this beautiful waterfront home. The views, privacy and constant trade winds at Maison Miele are the same features that we absolutely love about Sun, Moon & Stars and the added soothing sounds of the ocean rolling against the cliffs directly below help lull you into complete peace and relaxation!
